Mp3bullet.ng presents Top Five Best concerts hosted by Davido.
Davido has earned his stripes as one of Nigeria’s top artists for a variety of reasons, with his spectacular concerts at the forefront.
Known for his maximum energy, his larger-than-life demeanour finds a home on stage, showing how mundane many of our lives are in comparison to his.
It’s no small effort to perform in front of crowds on at least four continents over the course of a decade, so you can understand how difficult it was to condense his legendary shows into just five moments.
These milestones, which are listed in no particular order, are crucial to understanding how he got to where he is now – at the top of the Afrobeats food chain.
The singer is about to deliver another spectacular concert at the O2 and we at Mp3bullet.ng compiled a list of Davido’s best concerts to remind of his onstage greatness.

30 Billion UK Tour, UK 2018
After an extraordinary six-stop haul of sold-out venues in Leicester, Birmingham, Dublin, Manchester, and London – where he marked his feat of filling the 02 Academy – Davido’s 30 Billion Tour came to a close on Monday, February 19th, 2018 at the University of Hertfordshire.
Wizkid, Mr Eazi, and Not3s opened the show, while his label mates DJ E Cool and Mayorkun helped hold it down for Davido’s farewell performance in the country, much to the chagrin of the fans.
The 30 Billion UK Tour, perhaps his most well-publicized series of performances, was honoured by the production of a 30-minute documentary.
30 Billion Concert, Lagos 2017
Davido’s final date for his 30 Billion Concert was slated for December 27th at the Eko Hotels Convention Centre, capping up one of the most significant years of his career in magnificent style.
He undertook a frenetic, worldwide tour through America, Europe, and Africa, claiming new territory and cementing his brand throughout the tour, fueled by major songs like “If,” “Fia,” “Fall,” and “Like Dat.”
Reportedly securing over half a billion naira over the course of the tour, the sold-out concert was marked by appearances from A-list Nigerian artists and entertainers, namely Olamide, Patoranking and 2Baba, with a supporting cast of Dremo, Mayorkun, Runtown, Nasty C, Niniola, Terry G, Daddy Showkey, Humblesmith, Reekado Banks, Falz, Lil Kesh, Ice Prince, CDQ, and Wande Coal.
The onstage mini-reunion of the Mo’hits and the second Wizkid-Davido performance in less than three days, demonstrating the mending of their long-running conflict, were both pivotal moments in the event.
The show was reported to host about ten thousand fans in a hall that could just seat only 5,000 capacity people.
Davido Live in Concert, Lagos 2018
Davido, who is no stranger to giving back-to-back masterclasses, added to his onstage legacy in 2018.
On Thursday, December 27th, 2018, the ‘Davido Live in Concert’ series was held at Eko Atlantic, and it was packed to capacity (of course) with enthusiastic fans who had managed to get one of the 20,000 tickets that sold out within 12 days of the announcement.
Reinforcing his phenomenal 2017 tour, which saw him close up a year of travelling at the same location only a year ago. A group of fresh and slightly more established musical acts walked to the stage to kick off the show, which was hosted by MTV VJ Ehiz and DJed by ECool.
Talents ranging from Oxlade to Small Doctor, Chinko Ekun, Zlatan, and Lil Kesh had the chance to secure critical years in their careers.
Davido quickly presented the audience to his 2017 single pack intermingled with a number of older songs before being joined on stage by members of his DMW team to perform renditions of their renowned group numbers such as “Aje” and “Mind.”
Surprising performances by a number of his industry colleagues were two of the night’s most memorable moments. Runtown and Falz sang “Bad, Badoo, Baddest,” followed by Burna Boy and Davido performing “On The Low,” “Gbona,” and “Ye.”
Davido Live at the O2 Arena, London 2019
2019 saw Davido reach new professional heights as he prepared for his tour in support of his sophomore album, particularly with a memorable performance at the hallowed dome of the O2 Arena in the United Kingdom.
The show, which was supported by a live band named the Compozers as well as his DMW signees, was hailed for its coherence and overall slick packaging.
The sold-out show established Davido’s global reputation, his collaborators evidence of the transformation he had undergone with the release of his sophomore album, A Good Time, which was introduced by Idris Elba and anchored by global superstar Popcaan for their shared catalogue performances.
Arriving on stage courtesy of an overhead float, swathed in sequins and dressed in garb befitting of his favoured prefix, Davido performed for 20,000 faithful fans and watched them sing along to his hits like “Aye” in return.
A Good Time Concert, Lagos 2019
Davido has become accustomed to contributing to the madness that is Dirty December in Lagos; with his sophomore album barely a month old, he wowed fans and onlookers with live renditions of album cuts and a library that rivals any of his colleagues.
Using his preferred Eko Hotel venues to the maximum, his stage management crew outdid past editions of the performances with visually stunning lighting and sound, delivering one of the most immersive shows ever seen on our shores.

Delivering one of the coldest stage entrances in Nigerian concert history, Davido arrived to an instrumental cacophony befitting royalty and ran through a setlist of his 2017 run before introducing select members of his DMW label to join him on stage to either perform cuts like “The Best” or launch into their own sizeable coffers to keep the crowd entertained.
