Ghanaian artiste, Wendy Shay has expressed her displeasure with the public’s attitude toward those who are referred to as “Celebrities”.
Ghanaian musician, Wendy Asiamah Addo, better known by her stage name, Wendy Shay, has lamented the behaviour of the public who seems to have an issue with talents being addressed as ‘celebrities’.
Last week, COP Kofi Boakye chastised Ghanaian celebrities for being arrogant.
Some celebrities had petitioned the IGP to provide them with some of the rights that come with being public figures in society.

COP Kofi Boakye, on the other hand, refused to participate in any of these discussions, describing them as an entitled lot who overestimated their perceived importance.
He questioned their celebrity status,
“Who is a celebrity? What is the operational definition of the word celebrity? I think we should get that because I am confused. We are confused. Is it that when you appear in one film, or you do one song, you qualify to be called a celebrity or what? And you see, because we are confused, we do not know what you want.”
In response, Wendy Shay seems to have lectured him on her Twitter page saying
