50 Cent responds to Tekno sampling his song
The decision by Tekno, a talented Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer to sample American rapper Curtis Jackson popularly known as 50 Cent in one of his songs, has prompted a response from the rapper.
‘In July of 2017, Tekno dropped a hit song titled “Go“.
The song included a sample of the well-known lines from the American rapper’s 2003 hit single, “In Da Club.”
During an MSNBC interview, a clip from Tekno’s song was played, in which the Nigerian artist sampled some of the well-known lines from 50 Cent’s number-one hit.
The TV host then questioned him about how he felt about a Nigerian musician sampling his song.
The American rapper and businessman did not appear offended by the event. 50 Cent was beaming as he complimented Tekno on the sampling. He added that the knowledge that some people still regard him as an inspiration keeps him young and that it was because they have experienced the real side of things..
“That feels great man, it keeps me younger cus they’re still riding out,” he said.

The video of 50 Cent’s response to Tekno’s sample quickly went viral on social media and generated discussion among internet users.
Several of them took advantage of the occasion to call out Nigerian rapper BlackFace, who has been known to call out anyone who samples his music.
