His first nomination came in 2020 thanks to his “African Giant” album but he lost to Angelique Kidjo.

The self-styled Odogwu no doubt came back twice as tall after his album, Twice As Tall, won a Grammy award for Best Global Album in 2021.

The Only guest artist with their own track on Beyoncé’s “The Lion King: The Gift” album
