2Baba states Abacha did not loot but instead kept wealth out of the hands of criminals.
2Baba has said that previous Head of State General Sani Abacha never truly looted money while lamenting the country’s level of corruption.
According to 2Baba, the money that Abacha was accused of stealing was ‘kept’ away from the real culprits.
He asked how the looted funds could have been retrieved if that was not the case.
The 46-year-old musician claimed that if Abacha had truly intended to steal funds, it would have been impossible to recover them.
Taking to his Insta story, 2Baba shared an image of late Abacha with the inscription: “If to say Abacha actually thief this money we for no fit recover am, abi na only me they think this thing.
“I think he (Abacha) tried to keep it away from these thieving hands (my personal opinion) if not please tell me what has become of the recovered funds? Aluta continua abi.”
