Music icon Innocent Idibia, better known to the world as 2Baba, has spoken candidly about one of the labels that has followed him for years.

In a recent interview with Voice of Nigeria, the legendary singer addressed the long-standing “womaniser” narrative that has trailed his career and personal life. According to him, that description misses the mark entirely.
“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womanizer,” the singer stated.
Rather than accepting the tag, 2Baba offered a different perspective on who he believes he truly is.
“I like women; I’m just straightforward. But I’m a lover boy. I love hard.”
For the award-winning artist, the issue, he suggested, stems from how his openness has been interpreted.
Over the years, his relationships have played out publicly, often sparking debate across social media. But 2Baba implied that being honest about his emotions instead of hiding them may have shaped the public’s perception of him.
Beyond the headlines and online chatter, the conversation turned more personal when he spoke about his children. Now a father of eight, 2Baba’s tone reportedly shifted as he reflected on fatherhood.
He expressed pride in how bright and promising his children are, yet admitted to carrying a quiet regret about not being able to spend enough time with them all together.
It was a rare, reflective moment from a man whose music has defined generations, this time not through lyrics, but through vulnerability.
