VIDEO: 2Baba takes new lover Natasha to his mum months after she declared him missing
Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has reunited with his mother, Rose Idibia, following months of tension that had strained their relationship.
The heartwarming reunion came to public attention through viral videos and pictures shared on social media. Significantly, Natasha Osawaru — 2Baba’s new lover and a lawmaker in the Edo State Assembly — was present during the family gathering.
In the video, Natasha could be seen in the background playing joyfully with younger members of 2Baba’s family. In a series of pictures, she posed affectionately with Mrs. Idibia, including one where Natasha pecked the singer’s mother on the cheek and another that showed her making Mrs. Idibia laugh with a playful pose in front of the camera.
This public reunion marks a turning point after a turbulent few months. Earlier in the year, the Idibia family had filed a missing person’s petition with the DSS, stating that 2Baba had disappeared on February 10, 2025, after leaving home in loungewear for what appeared to be a short walk.
Adding to their concern, suspicious messages soliciting funds were later sent from the singer’s social media accounts. In an emotionally charged plea, Mrs. Idibia had posted a video in February, begging Natasha to release her son, insinuating that he was under a spell. The video was shared by 2Baba’s brothers, Charles and Hyacinth Idibia, amplifying the family’s distress.
However, with this recent reunion, it appears that all pending issues have been resolved. The Idibia family has now seemingly embraced Natasha, closing a difficult chapter with healing and reconciliation.
