Renowned Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has proposed to Honourable Natasha Osawaru, an Edo State lawmaker.
The surprise proposal, which took place in the presence of their close friends, has since sparked reactions across social media.
In a viral video, the African Queen hitmaker is seen going down on one knee, asking Natasha to marry him. Overwhelmed with emotions, the 31-year-old lawmaker covered her face before eventually saying yes.
This prompted excitement from the 49-year-old singer, who playfully declared, “The ayes have it.”
The engagement comes just weeks after 2Baba announced his divorce from his estranged wife, Annie Idibia. Addressing the public in a recently surfaced video, the music star expressed his admiration for Natasha, describing her as a “young, brilliant, and amazing young woman” whom he was eager to marry.

He also dismissed speculations that she was responsible for his split with Annie, stating:
“Everybody is going to be alright and everyone is fine. There is no fight or quarrel, I said what I said. Honourable Natasha has been called names and named a home breaker. She is a young, brilliant and amazing young woman, and she had nothing to do with what’s happening to my marriage to Annie. But I see people trying to rope her into everything. Yes. I love her. She’s amazing and cool, and I want to marry her.”
2Baba, a father of seven, shares children with three different women: Sunmbo Adeoye, Pero Adeniyi, and his estranged wife, Annie Idibia.
Honourable Natasha Osawaru comes from a prominent lineage, being the daughter of Desmond and Philomina Osawaru and the granddaughter of Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, a respected businessman and philanthropist.
