Veteran Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Face or 2Baba, has finally spoken candidly about some personal and professional choices he now wishes he had handled differently.

In a recent conversation on the Mic On podcast, the Afrobeats icon admitted that emotional pressure played a major role in some of the toughest moments of his life.
Looking back, 2Baba said experience has taught him powerful lessons, and if given another chance, certain decisions would be approached with more care.
“There are so many things I wish I could rewind and do better,” 2Baba said, explaining how emotional strain can easily cloud judgment.
“As a human being, there are times when you are overwhelmed or don’t make the best decisions.”
The singer also revisited the controversial incident in London in October 2025, which involved a disagreement with his wife, Natasha Osawaru, and ultimately led to his arrest.
Speaking openly about the episode, 2Baba took full responsibility, admitting that anger influenced his actions and describing the situation as an unfortunate moment in his life.
“I was angry that day,” he said, adding that dealing with personal struggles while constantly in the public eye has not always been easy.
Beyond the incident, the father of eight reflected on his role as a parent, acknowledging that he hasn’t been as present as he would like. He emphasized the importance of fatherhood and expressed a strong desire to do better moving forward.
“I have not been the best daddy. I want to do more,” the singer said, while stressing his preference to keep his family life away from public scrutiny.
According to 2Baba, these experiences have pushed him into a more reflective phase, helping him better understand accountability, emotional control, and the ongoing journey of personal growth.
