Concerns have escalated over the disappearance of Nigerian music legend 2Baba after his family officially reported him missing and sought assistance from security agencies.

A petition filed by the Idibia family went viral on social media on February 14, 2025, revealing that they had approached the Department of State Services (DSS) to help locate the singer.

Reports indicate that 2Baba has been missing since February 10, 2025, after he stepped out of his home in loungewear, presumably for a walk, and never returned. Since then, all attempts by his family and close associates to contact him have been futile.

The situation has raised further alarm as messages are being sent from 2Baba’s social media accounts, soliciting money from unsuspecting individuals. His family believes this is highly suspicious, given his history of financial stability. They fear he may have been abducted, with unknown persons exploiting his identity for fraudulent activities.

As of now, there has been no official statement from 2Baba’s management regarding the situation. Meanwhile, fans and well-wishers remain on edge as efforts to locate the iconic musician intensify.

Recall, Rose Idibia, mother of Nigerian music icon 2Baba, has publicly pleaded with Natasha Osawaru, urging her to “free” her son just a day after he proposed to the Edo State lawmaker.

The shocking appeal comes amidst 2Baba’s ongoing divorce from his estranged wife, Annie Idibia. In a viral video circulating on social media, Mrs. Idibia expressed concern over her son’s decision, stating that he is “not in his right senses” due to the emotional toll of his divorce.
