Renowned Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, famously known as 2Baba, has finally broken his silence amid swirling rumors about his alleged disappearance and supposed abduction.

The speculation intensified after his mother raised public concern, even going as far as filing a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS) in a bid to locate him.
In these rumors, 2Baba was spotted in public several times alongside his rumored partner, Natasha Osawaru. Yet, his refusal to address the situation left fans puzzled—until now.
During a recent comedy show hosted by comedian Acapella, the African Queen crooner tackled the matter head-on, lacing his response with humor. “They say I’ve gone missing… or maybe I’ve been kidnapped,” he joked. “Tonight’s show is actually a fundraiser—to help pay off my kidnappers!” The crowd erupted in laughter, appreciating the lighthearted take on a tense narrative.

This marked 2Baba’s first public acknowledgment of the rumors, albeit in a comedic fashion.
Meanwhile, Natasha Osawaru has stepped forward to set the record straight, denying any involvement in holding the singer captive. She maintained that 2Baba stayed with her of his own volition and dismissed allegations of spiritual manipulation, including rumors tied to a beaded bracelet he was seen wearing.
Despite the levity in 2Baba’s remarks, neither he nor his family has issued an official statement addressing the initial concerns or clarifying the nature of his relationship with Natasha. Fans remain caught between amusement and worry as they await more clarity.
