    Nigerian music icon Innocent Ujah Idibia, widely recognized as 2Baba, has taken on a new role in public service as he’s been named the Technical Adviser on Entertainment and Community Outreach to the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.

    The announcement, which quickly went viral via a circulating video, sparked a wave of enthusiasm both within the entertainment industry and across Benue State. In the footage, Governor Alia acknowledges 2Baba’s enduring impact on Nigerian music and commends his dedication to his roots in Benue.

    “I want to deeply appreciate you for standing by my administration and helping set the tone for 2027,” the governor remarked. “Calling you a maestro of entertainment is no exaggeration. The moment people hear ‘2Face,’ they’re already moving to the rhythm—song or no song.”

     

    In his advisory role, 2Baba will lend his expertise to drive entertainment initiatives and enhance community outreach efforts focused on empowering young people, nurturing talent, and fostering unity within the state.

    Beyond his successful music career, 2Baba is also known for his advocacy and humanitarian work through the 2Baba Foundation. His foundation champions vital causes such as education reform, peacebuilding, and transparent governance across Nigeria.
