2022 World Cup: Southgate names two England players “impossible not to pick”
For the forthcoming 2022 World Cup, England manager Gareth Southgate has revealed the two England players are “impossible not to pick.”
Southgate has stated that it would take an extreme circumstance for him to leave Luke Shaw and Harry Maguire out of his squad.
Even though Erik ten Hag, the club manager, fired Maguire, Southgate still has faith in him.
On Monday night, the centre-back for Manchester United conceded a penalty against Germany, which Ilkay Gundogan converted to make it 1-0. His misplaced pass also contributed to the build-up, which saw Kai Havertz make it 2-0.

With no more games until the 2022 World Cup, Southgate has faced criticism for continuing to select Maguire, but he has insisted he will do so.
