Released under Oosha Records and EMPIRE, the record is produced by hitmaker Yung Willis and arrives as a high-energy blend of street gospel and club-ready Afro-street sound. Driven by heavy basslines and a fast-paced rhythm, the track fuses spiritual gratitude with raw, unfiltered street energy.

Zlatan opens the song with his trademark Zanku flair, layering playful ad-libs and infectious confidence over the beat, while still delivering a verse that carries surprising lyrical sharpness. ODUMODUBLVCK follows with his signature deep-toned intensity, injecting grit and commanding presence that elevates the record’s street appeal.

At the center of it all is Fido, whose melodic yet rhythmic delivery ties both contrasting styles together. His performance ensures the track remains accessible to mainstream listeners while still resonating strongly with the street audience that both featured artists dominate.

Despite its spiritual title, “Dance For Jesus” leans heavily into dancefloor energy, creating a bold contrast between its theme of gratitude and its high-octane production. The irony has not gone unnoticed by fans, adding to the song’s viral appeal.

Already gaining traction online, the record is trending across social media platforms, especially TikTok, where a dance challenge has begun to spread rapidly. It also reflects a growing 2026 trend where artists blend religious or spiritual themes with street-hop intensity to create music that is both celebratory and energetic.

With its mix of faith, fun, and street credibility, “Dance For Jesus” stands out as one of the year’s most talked-about releases.

Speaking during an interview, the music star revealed that his parents were skeptical about the source of his income after his breakthrough, especially when he bought his first house in Lekki at the age of 25 in 2019 as a gift for them.

According to Zlatan, his parents refused to move into the house because they suspected the money used to acquire it was linked to internet fraud. To convince them otherwise, he had to provide proof of his earnings.

“My parents refused to live in the first house I bought in Lekki because they thought it was fraud money… I had to print my account statement to show them I am being honest,” Zlatan said.

He added that even after being reassured, his parents remained cautious and insisted on spiritual confirmation before accepting the gift.

“They later told me that if they have to come, they will do a seven days prayers to confirm if it’s from God. When they finally agreed to move in, they gave me a condition that I would also live with them,” he stated.

The revelation has since sparked conversations online, with many people relating to the cautious nature of African parents, while others praised his parents for prioritizing integrity despite their son’s fame and success.

The controversy began after a Snapchat exchange circulated online on January 27, 2026, sparking widespread reactions. In the viral screenshot, a Snapchat user identified as Olohitare was seen asking, “I hope your wife is doing fine, sir?”

A response from what appeared to be Zlatan’s account followed, stating, “She is the mother of my kids but she is not my wife yet. She is fine.”

However, Zlatan has since clarified that the exchange did not originate from him.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) page, the rapper firmly denied ever making such a statement, insisting that the Snapchat conversation was completely fabricated.

He emphasized that he never posted anything of the sort on his Snapchat account and warned fans to be more cautious about engaging with unverified content online.

Addressing the situation directly, Zlatan wrote:
“Y’all know I hate to shalaye But if you’re still one of those who can’t differentiate or confirm before you engage an agenda post in 2026 !! You don’t deserve to have internet on your phone !! THIS IS FAKE !!! banger boy your time is coming soon.”

He further urged social media users to be mindful of fake accounts and misleading narratives, stressing the importance of verifying posts before reacting or sharing.

Meanwhile, the page responsible for spreading the false story has reportedly issued an apology, bringing some closure to the situation as Zlatan clears his name from the rumour.

Popular Nigerian rapper Zlatan Ibile has sparked fresh conversations online after speaking candidly about his relationship with his partner, Davita Lamai.

The Zanku hitmaker took to Snapchat to address a message from a fan who casually referred to Davita, who is based in the United Kingdom, as his wife.

Zlatan was quick to clear the air, firmly stating that he is not married yet. While acknowledging their close bond, he explained that Davita is the mother of his children but not his wife at this point.

Responding directly to a Snapchat user identified as Olohitare, who asked, “I hope your wife is doing fine, sir?”,

Zlatan replied:
“She is the mother of my kids but she is not my wife yet. She is fine,”

The rapper shares two children with Davita Lamai. Their first child, Shiloh, was followed by their second, Benaiah, who celebrated his first birthday in November 2025.

Zlatan has never hidden his admiration and support for Davita. In July 2025, he proudly celebrated her academic success after she completed a Master’s degree at the University of Birmingham in the UK.

Reports at the time revealed that the rapper marked the milestone with a brand-new Mercedes-Benz, estimated to be worth between ₦100 million and ₦200 million. Zlatan was present at the graduation ceremony and openly expressed his pride, saying every penny spent on her education was worth it.

Davita Lamai’s graduation drew widespread attention online, with some reports noting that she graduated with honours. Beyond academics, Zlatan has also been known to celebrate her personal milestones lavishly.

In March 2024, he reportedly gifted her a Mercedes-Benz GLE valued at about ₦100 million to mark her 27th birthday.

Zlatan’s recent clarification has since fueled discussions online, with many applauding his honesty and the respectful way he addressed assumptions about his personal life.

Nigerian hitmaker Rexxie set the internet buzzing over the weekend after teasing an unreleased collaboration between Rema and Zlatan Ibile, giving fans a surprise taste of what has been quietly sitting in the vault for years.

Rexxie Sparks Buzz With Rema and Zlatan Unreleased Snippet

The Grammy-nominated producer previewed the track during a livestream session, instantly grabbing attention. Recorded roughly five years ago, around 2021, the song carries a familiar yet refreshing feel. Zlatan delivers his trademark street-hop flair with Yoruba-laced lines, while Rema floats effortlessly with smooth, melodic hooks, all riding on Rexxie’s energetic, club-ready production.

It didn’t take long for the snippet to escape the livestream. Short clips quickly made their way across social media, where music pages and fans reposted the audio nonstop. As expected, the reactions were mixed but loud. Some listeners praised the record’s timeless sound, while others jokingly begged the artists to leave it unreleased, fearing it might disrupt current playlists or expectations.

The teaser surfaced not long after Rexxie dropped his third studio album, BIG VYBZ, in October 2025. While the project highlighted his growth and knack for blending Afrobeats with global sounds, the Rema and Zlatan collaboration was notably absent.

This omission has fueled speculation among fans, with many suggesting clearance challenges or deliberate timing as possible reasons the song never saw the light of day — a familiar story in the music industry.

For now, neither Rexxie, Rema, nor Zlatan has said anything publicly about plans to release the full track. Still, in an era where old snippets can suddenly go viral and dominate charts years later, many believe this long-forgotten 2021 record could yet have its moment if it eventually drops.

Nakupenda isn’t just a song; it’s a continental conference set to rhythm, a moment where some of Africa’s strongest musical energies collide on one battlefield of bass and melody.

The South African DJ duo TxC, queens of the Amapiano nightlife circuit, join forces with Nigerian superstars Davido, Zlatan, and rising talent Shoday to create a record that feels less like a collaboration and more like a cultural handshake between regions.

TxC, Davido & Zlatan Unite for Continental Anthem “Nakupenda”

Even its title, Nakupenda, Swahili for “I love you”, hints at a sound crafted to travel across borders without needing translation.

At the heart of the track lies the unmistakable pulse of Amapiano: the rolling log drums, the deep, rumbling basslines, and the shimmering synth layers that TxC have mastered through years of ruling dancefloors from Johannesburg to Cape Town.

But Nakupenda is not boxed into one genre. The moment Davido slides into the beat with his rich, melodic swagger, the sound takes on a distinctly West African glow. Zlatan arrives next with his street-hardened charm, the fast-talking, playful, hyper-animated energy only he can deliver.

What emerges is an electrifying hybrid, the kind of cross-continental fusion that keeps proving Afrobeats and Amapiano are not rivals but rhythm cousins.

The beauty of Nakupenda is in its flow. Despite the star-studded lineup, no one overshadows the other. TxC expertly hold the reins, keeping the tempo consistent and the groove unbroken. Davido’s verse feels like sunlight, warm, assured, instantly catchy.

Zlatan bursts through like a spark, adding humour and grit. And then there’s Shoday, the young gun, whose presence signals the future: new voices rising confidently alongside giants. Rather than sounding like four artists stitched onto a beat, the track feels like a well-rehearsed relay — each act passing energy to the next.

In the grand picture, Nakupenda captures the state of African dance music in 2025. Genre walls are gone. Amapiano isn’t just South African anymore; Afrobeats isn’t just Nigerian; and African pop is no longer regional, it’s global currency. This track is built to travel, engineered for DJs from Lagos rooftops to London lounges to Durban beachfront festivals.

Nakupenda is a celebration of rhythm, of unity, and of the undeniable magic that happens when Africa’s finest join hands. Expect it to be one of the season’s most unforgettable party starters — a soundtrack to nights filled with lights, movement, and pure, unfiltered joy.

South Africa’s buzzing Amapiano duo TXC are gearing up for one of their boldest cross-border moves yet, teaming up with Nigerian heavyweights Davido and Zlatan for a brand-new single titled Nakupenda, dropping this Friday, December 12, 2025.

The announcement spread across social media like wildfire, instantly pulling the attention of music lovers from Lagos to Johannesburg. With such a star-studded lineup, fans are already imagining the energy, the rhythm, and the cultural blend this collaboration promises.

This record gathers some of the most influential voices from both Nigeria and South Africa, further cementing the musical bridge that Afrobeats and Amapiano have been building over the years. Beyond TXC, Davido, and Zlatan, the song also features Scotts Maphuma, Shoday, and Al Xapo, making it one of the year’s most expansive and diverse collaborations.

Ahead of its release, TXC shared promotional artwork describing the project as “a TXC original film,” a hint that Nakupenda may come with a strong visual identity or cinematic storytelling. While the full creative direction is still under wraps, the title itself—Nakupenda, a Swahili expression for “I love you”—suggests a theme rooted in affection, celebration, and pure good vibes, all delivered over a fusion of Amapiano grooves and Afrobeats flair.

This collaboration adds another chapter to the growing wave of partnerships between Nigerian and South African artists—a movement helping push African music further onto the global stage. And with the combined firepower of TXC, Davido, and Zlatan, many listeners are already predicting Nakupenda will dominate clubs, parties, and festival playlists across the continent.

The single hits streaming platforms this Friday, and the anticipation is only getting louder.

The result is Unfinished Business, his third studio album, a 13-track journey that feels like stepping into a time capsule and finding the contents glowing brighter than you remember.

For many Nigerians, ID Cabasa isn’t just a producer; he’s part of the country’s musical DNA. As the mastermind behind Coded Tunes, he helped shape the sound that birthed giants like Olamide, 9ice, and Reminisce.

Those mid-2000s years were the foundation of modern Afrobeats, and with Unfinished Business, Cabasa pulls from that era, “reimagining” his beloved hits with original voices and today’s brightest stars. He’s not simply dropping an album; he’s curating a moving, breathing museum of Nigerian music history.

At the heart of the project is “Photocopy Reimagined,” a reunion that feels almost cinematic. Hearing 9ice step back onto one of the most important records of his career, now dressed in a 2025 production glow, is goosebump material.

Vector joins him, weaving a verse that respects the original’s message of authenticity while flexing the layered wordplay he’s known for. Cabasa keeps the song’s gritty percussive spirit intact, but everything is sharpened, polished, and tuned for modern speakers. It feels like the “Alapomeji” spirit walked into the future and found its rhythm waiting.

Then there’s “Olufunmi Reimagined,” the track that feels like Cabasa threw a class reunion and a talent show into the same room. Styl-Plus’ iconic ballad is reborn through a powerhouse lineup: BOJ, Joeboy, Fireboy DML, and Odumodublvck.

The contrast is delicious, with Odumodu’s gritty, drill-tinted delivery bouncing off Joeboy’s softness, Fireboy’s emotional depth, and BOJ’s smooth Alté resonance. It shouldn’t work, but it does. Cabasa’s production gives each artist air to breathe, proving just how adaptable his sonic blueprint is.

But perhaps the clearest statement of the album’s purpose comes on “Bere Mi,” where Zlatan and T.I Blaze bring the street-hop energy of today onto a foundation built over a decade ago.

Cabasa uses the collaboration to make a quiet but powerful point: the new wave didn’t appear out of thin air; it grew from roots he helped plant. The album becomes both a reminder and a revelation, linking the past with the present through drums, melodies, and memory.

What makes Unfinished Business shine isn’t just nostalgia. It’s Cabasa’s understanding of his role. He’s not just flipping old records for sentiment; he’s orchestrating experiences. Every feature feels intentional. Every update feels like a respectful dialogue between eras.

The album is warm, cohesive, and carefully crafted the kind of project that makes older fans smile knowingly while giving younger listeners a front-row seat to a history lesson disguised as a playlist.

In the end, Unfinished Business proves a simple truth: great music never really fades. It only waits for the right moment and the right hands to be reintroduced. And for Cabasa, “unfinished” doesn’t mean incomplete. It means the story is far from over.

After years of anticipation and quiet hints, veteran producer Olumide Ogunade, famously known as ID Cabasa, is finally ready to open the vault. This Friday, December 5, 2025, he will unveil Unfinished Business, an album many consider a long-overdue return from one of Afrobeats’ most important architects.

For weeks, whispers about the project have stirred excitement across the industry. And rightly so. Cabasa isn’t just releasing an album; he’s stepping back into the spotlight with a lineup powerful enough to bridge generations.

Long before Afrobeats became the global wave it is today, ID Cabasa helped shape its early blueprint. Through his iconic Coded Tunes label, he nurtured the careers of Olamide, 9ice, Reminisce, and others who would eventually become pillars of modern Nigerian music.

Now, with Unfinished Business, he revisits that legacy but with the energy and voices of a new era riding beside him.

The 12-track project reads like a celebration of Afrobeats’ past, present, and future. Cabasa pulls in some of today’s biggest hit-makers — Olamide, Zlatan, Fireboy DML, Bella Shmurda, Joeboy, Darkoo, Pheelz, Boj, Odumodublvck, and more.

But he doesn’t stop there. He reaches into the archives, dusts off classics, and rebuilds them with fresh faces. “Photocopy” returns with the combined brilliance of Vector and 9ice, while the timeless “Olufunmi” is reborn through Boj and Joeboy.

Cabasa describes the idea as something deeper than nostalgia a way to remind older fans where the sound started while handing younger listeners a refreshed doorway into Nigeria’s musical heritage.

Before music took over his life, Cabasa briefly flirted with a career in economics and banking.

But destiny clearly had other plans. His signature production style a fusion of local melodies, street influences, and modern rhythm made him one of the early masterminds behind the Afrobeats explosion. His fingerprints are still present in the work of many top acts today.

Unfinished Business, released under Coded Tunes/Ziiki Media, carries the weight of both reflection and reinvention. And for many, it is more than an album it is another chapter in Cabasa’s long-standing contribution to defining the sound of a generation.

With nostalgia woven into innovation, this project is poised to be one of Afrobeats’ defining releases of the year a reminder that legends never truly leave; they simply return when the music needs them most.
