Held at the iconic Indigo at The O2, the premiere drew a full house of 1,757 guests, transforming the venue into a vibrant celebration of African art, fashion, and storytelling.

Produced by Bose Ogulu and her son, global superstar Damini “Burna Boy” Ogulu, alongside Osas Ighodaro, the film stands as a milestone in the evolution of African cinema, bridging cultures and audiences across continents.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Asurf Oluseyi, 3 Cold Dishes follows the emotional journey of three women united by pain, resilience, and the pursuit of justice — a raw tale that tackles the grim realities of human trafficking while celebrating courage and sisterhood.

The red carpet radiated elegance and excitement as celebrities, filmmakers, and fans arrived in striking African attire. Cameras flashed endlessly as Osas Ighodaro, who also stars in the film, stole the spotlight with her dazzling look and graceful presence.

She led a formidable cast featuring Fat Toure, Maud Guerard, Ruby Akubueze, Taiwo Adeyemi, Amelie Mbaye, and veteran actor Wale Ojo, each bringing depth and authenticity to the film’s narrative.

Adding a classic touch to the evening, legendary Congolese musician Awilo Longomba lit up the event with a thrilling performance — a perfect nod to the film’s Pan-African message of unity through art and music.

Nigerian music icon Burna Boy is venturing into filmmaking with an unexpected role as an executive producer. Black Mic Mac, renowned for its focus on film and TV content from African and Middle Eastern talent, has announced Burna Boy’s involvement as an executive producer in their upcoming thriller, “3 Cold Dishes.”

Directed by Asurf Oluseyi, the recipient of the 2016 AMVCA for Best Short Film for “A Day with Death,” “3 Cold Dishes” delves into the stories of Esosa, Fatouma, and Giselle, three former victims of sex trafficking who have transitioned into influential figures within the clandestine world of prostitution.

Despite their achievements, the shadows of their past traumas loom large, with the men who sold them into slavery relentless in their pursuit of retribution.

Burna Boy’s role as producer for the film will be under Spaceship Films, a production company he co-founded with his mother, Bose Ogulu, in 2015.

Asurf Oluseyi, in an interview with Variety Magazine, described the film as a testament to the resilience of its characters and an unparalleled African cinematic experience.

The cast boasts acclaimed Nollywood actors such as Osas Ighodaro, Wale Ojo, Femi Jacobs, Ruby Akubueze, Brutus Richards, and Greg Ojefua, alongside talented Ivorian actors Fat Toure and Maud Guerard, and Senegalese actors Amelie Mbaye and Mentor Ba.

“3 Cold Dishes” is part of a diverse lineup of projects Black Mic Mac is currently developing, including titles like “The Devil Inside,” “The Three Rascals,” “Apophenia,” “La Sape,” “The Great Transporter,” “The Cage,” and “Let The Earth Burn.”

Founder of Black Mic Mac, Pape Boye, expressed pride in collaborating with filmmakers across the continent and in discovering new talents dedicated to captivating global audiences, positioning the company as a significant force in the African film and television industry.
