After having received trolling regarding an incident at the Black Star Line Festival, Rapper Sarkodie recently resorted to social media to respond to his detractors.

The rapper was criticised for falling so low in light of his background and position in the industry by a passionate Sarkodie fan who was seen reacting to this on the streets of Kumasi.

For reasons best known to him, the self-proclaimed landlord angrily referred to everybody who was making fun of him as an animal (mmoa).

Sarkodie gave a performance at the Black Star Line Festival on Friday night with Vic Mensa and Chance the Rapper. There was a video of security preventing him from entering before his performance.

Before being permitted to attend, Sarkodie and his security crew had a conflict with the event’s security.

Ghanaians trolled Sarkodie for calling himself a landlord yet being prevented from accessing an event on his own land!

Evidently offended, Sarkodie immediately responded on social media. He tweeted that everyone who despises him is an animal.

Deborah, a female fan who was interviewed, stated unequivocally that Sarkodie needs to publicly apologise for calling his detractors animals because it doesn’t fit his status.

She claims that no Ghanaian has a playlist without at least 10 Sarkodie songs, so where does the rapper’s criticism come from?

American rapper and singer Victor Kwesi Mensah, known professionally as Vic Mensa, has recounted the fascinating experience he had ever since he travelled to Ghana for fun and for business purposes.

Vic Mensa whose arrival was announced a few months ago was spotted hanging around with a lot of Ghanaian celebs and visited some of the most popular tourist sites in the country just to interact with the Ghanaian culture.

The Roc Nations signed rapper, who was born to a Ghanaian father and an American mother, has collaborated with a number of famous Ghanaian musicians, including Kwesi Arthur, Sarkodie, and Darko Vibes.

He said that night lives in Accra was a very spirited moment for him but the best was him getting his favourite Ghanaian dish, Banku with tilapia.

In addition, Vic Mensa and his colleague, Chance The Rapper are about to headline a major concert in Ghana. They recently announced this on social media as fans are in anticipation of the once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Ghanaian highlife and afrobeats singer-songwriter Gregory Bortey Newman, better known by his stage name King Promise, has revealed the inspiration behind his second studio album “5 Star”.

The Ghanaian musician has finally dropped his second studio album titled “5STAR.”

The 15-track “5 Star Album” was created by King Promise, a signee with Legacy Life Entertainment, and features American rappers Vic Mensa and Chance The Rapper as well as some notable figures from the African music scene, including Patoranking, Headie One, Frenna, Omah Lay, Bisa KDei, and WSTRN.

The album has dominated charts and some digital streaming platforms and continues to achieve greatness in the music market.

In an interview with Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz’s ace media icon, Andy Dosty, King Promise claimed that he feels his music has reached a point where he needs to focus on quality rather than quantity.

According to him, the direction of his music has completely changed, and instead of concentrating on what is popular or trending, he should direct his work toward creating original, high-quality sounds.

The sensational singer added that he gathered all the lessons and skills he has learnt over the years in his music to organically produce his “5 Star Album”.

He Said:

“I feel like we’ve gotten to a point where the music is on that level, where is of that good quality because I’m not following trend, it’s very organic and we took our time to make it with all the experiences and stuff I’ve learnt over the years”,

The annual Ghana Music Awards UK organizers have finally released the full list of nominees for the 2022 edition.

The nominees were announced on Friday, July 1, 2022, at the Omanye Hall, Labadi Beach Hotel, during a colourful event hosted by renowned media personalities Doreen Avio and Blaque Boy.

The organizers of the  Ghana music awards have announced the full list of nominees ahead of the event scheduled to take place on the 29th of October 2022.

Ghanaian rapper, singer, and songwriter Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur Junior, known professionally as Kwesi Arthur, has officially revealed the date and title of his upcoming album.

The Ghanaian singer took to his Instagram page on the 4th of April 2022 to announce details about his forthcoming album.

The singer has titled his upcoming album “Son of Jacob” and is scheduled for release on April 22, 2022.

Ghanaian musician and performer Mohammed Ismail Sherif known professionally as Black Sherif has acknowledged and appreciated the support he has received from his fans since the beginning of his music career.

The Ghanaian star shows his appreciation through his social media page.

Black Sherif became a notable music act in 2021 after releasing his ‘First’ and ‘Sermon’ songs. The songs topped music charts both in Ghana and abroad.

The teenager has also featured renowned global artists including Burna Boy, Ivorian Doll and Vic Mensa.

Ghanaian-American rapper Victor Kwesi Mensah, popularly known as Vic Mensa, revealed that has been released from police custody after being arrested for allegedly possessing drugs.

The rapper, who recently made a trip to Ghana with Grammy award-winning rapper Chance the Rapper, was arrested on Saturday, January 15th, 2022, after U.S. Customs reportedly found drugs in his bag at Virginia’s Dulles International Airport.

According to reports, U.S. customs authorities discovered 41 grams of liquid LSD, 124 grams of psilocybin pills, 178 grams of psilocybin gummies, and six grams of psilocybin mushrooms in the rapper’s possession.

In a recent update, Vic Mensa reveals that have been released after the rapper verified his liberation on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 via his Twitter page.

Ghanaian-American rapper and singer, Victor Kwesi Mensah, popularly known as Vic Mensa, might be putting out new music with Ghanaian ace singer, Darkovibes.

This was shared via Instagram on the 11th of January 2022.

The Down on my Luck hitmaker who is currently in Ghana with Grammy award-winning rapper, singer, and record producer Chance the Rapper, recently linked up with his fellow compatriot Darkovibes in a studio in Ghana.

Darkovibes, who describes himself as someone who makes experimental music (a blend of highlife and hip-hop), recently released a song with Nigerian heavyweight singer Davido.

Adding Vic Mensa to the list is a good look for his discography. It is a full house in Ghana currently as international and local acts are linking up to make music.

It’s actually Africa to the rest of the world, as we may be receiving a collaboration from Sarkodie and Chance the Rapper as the two were recently spotted in a studio.

Chance the Rapper, an acclaimed American rapper, singer, and record producer, has teamed up with Ghanaian heavyweight rapper Sarkodie in a studio in Ghana.

The Grammy-winning rapper is currently reconciling with his birthplace in Ghana with Ghanaian-American musician Vic Mensa.

After claiming that his grandparents are of Ghanaian heritage, Chance seizes every opportunity to reunite with his ancestor, as proven by several videos that have appeared online.

Another video has surfaced online on, January 10th, 2021, showing Chance the Rapper and Sarkodie, one of Africa’s best rappers, collaborating in a penthouse in Ghana to compose music.

Sarkodie also a video of him and the American rapper on his Instagram page. This would be one of many of his International collaborations with American rappers.

What do you expect from a professional with more than a decade of expertise in a field where remaining on top for years is regarded as a remarkable achievement? Then to do it for thirteen years in a developing sector, while continually performing at the top of your game and earning several awards is an achievement that even the ancient Greek gods would praise.

So it was evident that when Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie declared, “I’m not a human/I’m a deity,” on “Angels and Demons,” off his 2019 EP “Alpha,” it wasn’t a declaration based on arrogance.

Anyone who has followed Sarkodie’s career knows that he has a method to his releases, especially when he is in album mode. Regular appearances in features, more social media interactions, and the eventual release of promotional singles are all telltale signals.

Following a series of teasers, fans have been expecting the release of an album by the Ghanaian rapper for almost a year.

When he started giving exclusives to his planned products out during the 2020 pandemic, the excitement skyrocketed.

Sarkodie had already produced a handful of tracks by the end of the year, including the Joey B-assisted “COLD,” when his core followers  SarkNatives encouraged him to join the local Drill music trend, widely known as Asakaa.

Following that, a slew of singles was released, including “Happy Day,” “Hasta La Vista,” and “No Fuzagy.”

By the time the Kwesi Arthur-assisted “Coachella” and “Vibration” featuring American rapper Vic Mensa were released earlier this year, it was clear that an album was on the way.

His seventh studio album, ‘No Pressure,’ is possibly his most well-rounded work to date. The 16-song album, which is split into two sections, contains enough genre-mashing tracks to appeal to his wide range of admirers.

It’s a mash-up of his two prior 2019 efforts, ‘Alpha’ and ‘Black Love.’

The former was a blistering barest hinged on self-apotheosis while the latter followed conventional pop-rap songwriting tropes with bright hooks sung by an array of guest vocalists.

In its amalgam execution, ‘No Pressure’ comprises tauntingly good, all-caps RAP slappers, as well as several bops in conversation with contemporary Afropop.

Ambitious rappers on the continent have long been charged with finding a balance between lyrical pyrotechnics and modish Pop trends, so this dualistic approach is nothing new.

These characteristics are mirrored in the song ‘No Pressure,’ which provides insight into his current state of mind.

Sarkodie does not feel the pressure that comes with staying at the top, nor does he feel crushed by the weight of regular criticisms hurled at him by a segment of the business regarding repetitious topic matters, now that he has reached this new elevated level.

In Rollies and Cigars Sarkodie flexes on smooth sound, supported with clear visuals, at the beginning of the visual, he made it clear that he doesn’t encourage smoking.
