The 100 Best West Coast Hip-Hop Songs of All Time were ranked this time. The list, which spans artists like Ice-T and E-40, was put together by the magazine’s editors and critics and included classics by Tupac, Dr Dre, and N.W.A. as well as contemporary anthems by Kendrick Lamar, The Game, and Saweetie.

Additionally, some placements are sure to spark discussion. Tyler the Creator’s 2011 breakthrough hit “Yonkers” scores shockingly high at No. 19, while Snoop’s “Ain’t No Fun (If The Homies Can’t Have None)” just cracks the top 50 at No. 49. Drake leads the pack with 14 nominations for the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards, followed by Kanye West with 10 nods and Kendrick Lamar with nine.

The Certified Lover Boy MC is nominated for hip hop artist of the year, hustler of the year, lyricist of the year, best live performer, and hip hop album of the year, among other awards. He is up for best hip-hop video, best collaboration, and song of the year for his contribution on Future’s “Way 2 Sexy” with Young Thug and Future, as well as his appearance on Future’s “Wait for You” (also featuring Tems).

His cameos on “Wait for You” as well as Jack Harlow‘s “Churchill Downs” have secured Drake two nods in the Sweet 16: best featured verse category, while his and 21 Savage‘s “Jimmy Cooks” earns Drake a total of three nominations in the best collaboration category.

Nigerian superstars Burna Boy, Fireboy DML, and a slew of others will be joining heavyweights like J. Cole, Cardi B, and a host of others on the 2022 Wireless Festival’s stage.

Accorded as the UK’s number one urban music festival, the event, which will take place for two weekends, will feature the greatest of hip-hop, grime, afrobeats, and other genres.

A$AP Rocky, J. Cole, and Tyler, The Creator will headline the event July 1-3, which will take place at London’s Crystal Palace Park, with other acts joining them.

The same weekend, July 8-10, will bring the party to Birmingham, with Dave, a Nigerian-UK talent, performing alongside Cardi B and J. Cole.

Rema, Omah Lay, Gunna, Backroad Gee, Lil Durk, Bas, Ari Lennoz, 6lack, and a slew of other artists will also be performing at the event.
