Rolling Loud is set to return to Inglewood’s Hollywood Park Grounds from March 15 to 17, 2024, and the lineup for the festival has been revealed. Nicki Minaj will be the opening headliner on Friday, March 15, with Rae Sremmurd, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Lil Tecca, Sexyy Red, Anycia, and a joint performance by YG and Tyga.

Post Malone will headline on Saturday, March 16, with support from Summer Walker, Big Sean, Larry June, and Flo Milli. The festival will conclude on Sunday, March 17, with Lil Uzi Vert, who will share the stage with Don Toliver, Chief Keef, NLE Choppa, 03 Greedo, Bryson Tiller, and Ski Mask the Slump God.

While Rolling Loud California 2024 continues to focus mainly on hip-hop and rap acts, there is a noticeable presence of R&B artists like Ryan Trey and Bryson Tiller in next year’s lineup.

Following much speculation, The BET Awards have unveiled a strong lineup of Hip Hop performers for the 2023 BET Awards.

The 2023 BET Awards will honour the genre’s longevity and five decades of Hip Hop by bringing together rappers from various eras for a special occasion that will travel back in time.

The BET Awards 2023, scheduled for Sunday, June 25, 2023, would feature an unprecedented lineup of artists, according to a BET announcement made on June 16, 2023.

The stage will be graced by nominees Lil Uzi Vert, Coco Jones, GloRilla, and Doechii, but more performers are anticipated to be revealed.

A nonstop Hip-Hop celebration will take place as part of Culture’s Biggest Night to commemorate the genre’s 50th birthday. 69 Boyz, Big Daddy Kane, Chief Keef, DJ Unk, E-40, Fast Life Yungstaz & Easton (F.L.Y.), Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Kid ‘N Play, MC Lyte, Master P, Remy Ma, Soulja Boy, The Sugarhill Gang, Trick Daddy, Trina, Tyga, Uncle Luke, Warren G, Ying Yang Twins, and Yo-Yo will all take part in BET’s Hip-Hop 50 celebration.

This year, Drake tops the list of nominees, with seven nominations overall, while GloRilla, a rising sensation, ranks second with six nominations. Lizzo and 21 Savage are tied with five nominations each. Beyoncé, Burna Boy, Ice Spice, Chris Brown, and SZA all tie with four nominations.

The 2023 BET Awards candidates have been revealed, and Nigerian megastar Burna Boy has received many nods. Ayra Starr, Asake, Tems, and Wizkid have also received nominations.

Male R&B/Pop Artist, Video Director of the Year, and Best International Act nominations all went to Burna Boy.

Tems‘ contribution to Future’s song “Wait For U” earned her nominations for Best Female Artist and Best Collaboration. In the Best Collaboration category, Wizkid will compete against Tems for his contribution to Chris Brown’s “Call Me Everyday.”

For Best International Act and Best New International Acts, respectively, Ayra Starr and Asake received their first nominations.

American rapper Micheal Ray Stevenson, known professionally as Tyga has declared that Nicki Minaj is the “Best Female Rapper Of All Time.”

Only a few days after claiming that Lil Wayne and Eminem were the GOATs to beat, he returned to Twitter to praise the “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” vocalist as the greatest female rapper of all time.

“Nicki is the greatest female rapper ever; no one comes close!” Tyga was tweeted before she explained why. “World play , zingers , conveyance, pockets , beat choice, innovativeness. Inflictions.”

He added that Doja Cat, his collaborator on “Freaky Deaky,” “is a pretty amazing rapper too,” in his compliments.

The former Young Money labelmates have worked together on several songs, including “Dip” from 2018 and “BedRock” from 2009.

The “Bang Bang” hitmaker continues to be praised by her Young Money family, which includes Wayne and Birdman. On Billboard’s list of the 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time, she recently made it into the top 10.

The rapper revealed The Greatest Rappers Of All Time on his social media page on Friday, March 24, 2023, and discussed what makes them the best to have ever done it.

He declares Lil Wayne and Eminem the greatest rappers of all time.

On Billboard’s contentious list of the Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All Time, Weezy and Eminem both placed in the top 10, with Wayne at No. 7 and Eminem at No. 5.

“Wayne helped me grow into this person and really just inspired me and mentored me through the years,” Tyga once told Apple Music. “He signed me when I was 17. I was over there when he was doing Carter III so, that whole process, I had somebody to look [up] to as far as like, this is how I should do it.”

Wayne reacted to his placement on the list. “I will tell you that I am a motherfu**ing 1. Everybody whose names you named, they also know I’m number one. Go ask ’em. They know what it is,” he told Apple Music.

Fans of Nigerian musicians Adekunle Gold also known as AG Baby and Zinoleesky have been overcome with excitement after the former announced that they have a collaboration set to drop soon.

Adekunle Gold, who is best known for his hit song “High,” posted a clip from what appears to be the official music video for the upcoming song titled “Party No Dey Stop” on his Instagram page on Wednesday.

Zinoleesky, the face of Marlians Records, is featured in the song.

According to the post, the song will be released on March 15th. This will be their first musical collaboration.

The singer who’d sparked the interest of fans following mention of her consideration had aired it via her Twitter page where she said; “I’m thinking ???? of this onlyfans oooo.”

Yemi Alade will not be the only musician on the platform if she follows through on her tweet; Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyga, and other megastars occasionally share non-explicit, exclusive content there to fans for a premium or for free.

It is unclear, however, whether the singer was merely teasing fans or revealing future plans.

Yemi Alade may also just be preparing fans for her next project as she also tweeted about a new album within the same hour.

KiDi has stated that his favourite collaboration in his music career has been with American rapper Micheal Ray Stevenson, better known as Tyga.

Recall, the Lynx Entertainment signee recruited Tyga for the remix edition of his most popular song “Touch It”.

This was after Tyga was spotted in a viral video jamming to the song while rapping his version of the song.

He stated that he was completely blown away when he first saw Tyga’s verse in his inbox because he was not expecting it, and after listening to his verse, he loved it and agreed to collaborate.

The singer has been named as an headliner for the ‘Oh My! Festival’ 2022 set to take place in Rotterdam, Netherlands from June 25 to June 26, 2022.

The Soul Train Awards which honours and celebrates African-American entertainers, will be presented on November 20, 2021, at the Apollo Theatre, and will be hosted by Tichina Arnold and Tisha Campbell, two top actors and comedians.

Nigerian pair Wizkid and Tems both received five nominations in the nomination list, which was revealed on November 2nd, 2021.

Four of them were for their smash hit “Essence,” which received nominations for Song of the Year, Video of the Year, The Ashford and Simpson Songwriter’s Award, and Best Collaboration.

Then, for his legendary project Made In Lagos, Wizkid was nominated for Album of the Year, while Tems was nominated for Best New Artist.

H.E.R. leads the 2021 Soul Train Award nominations with eight, followed by prominent American singer and performer, Chris Brown, who has six, and Jazmine Sullivan, who also has six.

The relationship between Drake and Wizkid has been a fruitful one so far. Although the two don’t look tight, this doesn’t affect their chemistry.

Drake first jumped on the remix of Wizkid’s 2014 hit song, “Ojuelegba” alongside Skepta. While the remix wasn’t as popular as the original, this was the beginning of a great partnership.

The two worked on Drake’s 2016 record-breaking song “One Dance” which charted around the world and earned Wizkid various accolades and awards.

Wizkid would then feature Drake on his 2017 song, “Come Closer“. Although Drake didn’t appear on the music video, it didn’t affect its success.

Currently, the song is one of Wizkid’s most streamed songs on major streaming platforms and sits at 107 Million views on Youtube, his second most-streamed song on the platform.

Skepta

While Drake and Wizkid aren’t exactly buddies, Skepta and Wizkid on the other hand could be referred to as brothers from different mothers.

Skepta is credited as the person that orchestrated the relationship between Wizkid and Drake and even got the Canadian rapper to feature on the remix of “Ojuelegba”

Their relationship birthed Skepta’s 2018 hit song, “Bad Energy” which is one of the best collaborations to happen between a Nigerian and UK artist.

Akon

Akon was the first International artist Wizkid featured on a song. The first song they collaborated on was the remix of Wizkid’s “Don’t Dull,” while the song wasn’t officially released, a leaked version could be found online.

The official song they collaborated on was the remix of Wizkid’s 2012 song, “Roll It” which also features Banky W. Then they also collaborated on Wizkids’s “For You” off his sophomore album, “Ayo”

The two have a good relationship with Akon referring to Wizkid as his brother. Their last collaboration was Akon’s “Escape” first released as a soundtrack to the “Black November” film and then re-released in 2020.

Chris Brown

In 2017, Wizkid dropped his third album, “Sounds from the Other Side” of which “African Bad Gyal” featuring Chris Brown was part of the songs off the project.

The song which was produced by Sarz currently sits on more than 5 Million views on Youtube. A year earlier, the two worked on another song titled “Shabba” alongside Trey Songz and French Montana.

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber is the latest International Big wig that Wizkid has added to his roster of international features.

Their collaboration was unexpected and a surprise but a welcome development. Justin Bieber was featured on the remix of Wizkid’s 2020 groundbreaking summer bp, “Essence” which many music lovers have praised.
