These are the top 5 Adekunle Gold AkA AG Baby songs that were written by his wife Simi

Simi is one of the best songwriters in the Nigerian music industry and here are some songs she co-wrote with her man Adekunle Gold or AG Baby as he’s fondly called.

Adekunle Gold and Simi are among the most well-known and adored couples in Nigeria. They both rank among the best musicians in the country.

It makes sense that two musicians who are close to one another will divide the labour.

Adekunle and Simi are the ideal illustrations of how one person’s creativity may unexpectedly affect another’s.

Mercy

The official YouTube video for Adekunle Gold’s lovely, groovy track Mercy, which appears on his most recent album Catches Me If You Can, has already racked up over a million views.

AG Baby

You might not be aware that Blaise Beats, Friday Igwe, Sesan Salami, and Simisola Ogunleye all worked on the song’s composition (aka Simi).

Call on Me

Call On Me was released in 2017 and is still such a new, upbeat, and enjoyable tune.

The official music video for the song has received over a million views on Youtube and is also well-liked by streaming services.

Simi not only helped with this song, but she also mixed it, added backup vocals that really made it pop, and helped write the lyrics.

Win

Catch Me If You Can, Win is a song from his most recent album that describes Adekunle’s hustle quest and conveys how he only wants to win.

It’s a lovely song with some great sentiments in it.

Adekunle Gold, Emmanuel Aladeloba, and Simi, of course, wrote the song.

Catch me if you can

The song that shares the same name as Adekunle Gold’s most recent album is one in which the singer challenges listeners to try and catch him if they can.

It is a song of confidence and bravery, and it sounds fantastic.

Adekunle Gold, Nicolas Emmanuel, King Sunny Ade, and Simi are listed as the song’s writers in the song’s writing credits.

Ace Nigerian music producer, Olumide Ogunlade, better known as ID Cabasa, has revealed why Grammy Award-winning singer Burna Boy is not the biggest artiste in Nigeria.

In an interview with Premium Times, the music star said every generation and season always has someone who is the arrowhead and it doesn’t necessarily mean that the person is the best among their peers.

He said,

“I can’t say Burna Boy is the biggest artiste in Nigeria. We have Davido, Wizkid, and Fireboy doing crazy numbers I. We have Ckay, who we should not disrespect, especially with his numbers. We have a whole lot of these guys doing crazy numbers out there.

Even by next year, we will be celebrating some other young artists. We didn’t mention Kizz Daniel, whose song is the biggest right now that everyone is buzzing with.”

Cabasa stated that the best of something is never in the past and that every season, someone emerges to lead the pack.

In his words,

“that doesn’t mean that person is the best we can always have. Before Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Olamide, and even before ID Cabassa came into the industry; there were people.

Rappers from Nigeria who achieved success on a national and international scale by using their native tongues especially Phyno and Olamide.

Rapper and musician Olamide Gbenga Adedeji are from Nigeria. He is one of Africa’s largest and most well-known artists.

How Phyno and Olamide improved the popularity of indigenous rap

Since his official debut single, “Eni Duro,” Olamide has made significant progress. He is currently one of Nigeria’s most well-known rappers.

Before he showed up on the Yoruba rap scene, there was DaGrin(link is external), whose reputation increased after his untimely death. Prior to both was the Lord of Ajasa, but his rule was far too brief to have much of an impact.

Olamide’s five solo albums and one collaborative album can be used to analyze his career development.

He keeps both Yoruba and English records. While contracted to Coded Tunes, he released his debut studio album Rapsodi in 2011.

Phyno Fino is the stage name of Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer.

He began his musical career in 2003 as a producer and is well known for his Igbo language rapping. No Guts No Glory, his debut studio album, was released in 2014.

Illbliss, also known by his stage name iLLBLISS, is a Nigerian rapper, entrepreneur, and proprietor of “The Goretti Company,” a talent management company that helped launch the careers of many artists, including Phyno and Chidinma.

Phyno has been consistent for over a decade now since he came around, practically basking on longevity and originality with Igbo rap to promote cultural orientation and preservation.

Phyno is considered the pop luminary who took elements of their culture and reimagined it for the future, although Nigga Raw now known as Mr Raw tried but Phyno conquered and became a global superstar.

Also, he technically carries the hopes and pride of the Igbo nation just like the way the West can lean into Olamide as an emblem of their art, Phyno charges the East

However, the love and devotion that comes from his cultural relevance and representation make him the most influential on the coast..

Phyno flagship annual event that is known as Phynofest, is one of the biggest concerts in Nigeria, apart from Phyno, no other artists play a major concert outside Lagos

Therefore, his presence and relevance have made him an exemplary light from the east, but whatever good he has done, he is still topping that now and leading the way in Nigeria as the first modern Nigerian artist to hold a major concert.

Mp3bullet.ng presents Nigerian Music Videos that were Filmed at The New Afrika Shrine

The Nigerian musician and pioneer of Afrobeats, Fela Kuti, constructed a shrine for himself where he held performances and recorded music.

Due to Fela’s political involvement in the 1970s, the military government had this shrine, now known as the “Old Afrika Shrine,” demolished.

Then he relocated to Mushin’s Empire Hotel, also known as the Kalakuta Republic or the Afrika Shrine. As a result of repeated government raids, this was completely destroyed in 1977.

In honour of Fela’s passing, his son Femi Kuti erected a new Afrika Shrine in October 2000. Since then, it has become into a popular tourist destination for aficionados of Afrobeats worldwide.

The new shrine, which is located in the Alausa environment of Ikeja, Lagos State, houses some of the best art and musical performances in Lagos. It has become like home for Afro-beat lovers and has also served as a great location for emerging artists to shoot their videos and host their shows.

Here are some Nigerian music videos that were shot at the shrine:

Prior to his performance in Felabration 2013 where he shocked the crowd by performing in his underwear, Burna Boy shot the video for Run My Race at The New Afrika Shrine.

He credits Fela, whom he has frequently cited as his role model, for providing the inspiration for the song, which was directed by Clarence Peters.

Therefore, he chose to film the video at the shrine. The video was able to depict both the shrine’s nightlife and the net where the female dancers perform.

With his distinct voice, Zinoleesky has been crushing every amapiano song since his debut, including singles and features, building a catalogue of flawless tracks over the course of his career.

The artist’s name is already well-known; in essence, all the biggest names in Nigerian music have praised his work and sense of style.

After purportedly rejecting a deal with the DMW label, he joined the Marlian Music Label in December 2019, which is run by the well-known Nigerian singer, rapper, and composer Naira Marley.

After performing at Marlian Fest at the Eko Hotel in 2019, Zinoleesky began to progressively break into the music industry. In 2020, he released his single titled “Caro,” which features his label boss Naira Marley and acts as the lead single for his first six-track EP titled “Chrome.”

With a visual for his supported song, “Mapariwo,” off the EP “Chrome,” and inspired with an edge of facet in his musical approach, Zinoleesky strikes again in the same calendar year following the release of “Caro” featuring Naira Marley.

The song, which was his biggest hit before Rexxie’s produced track “Caro,” perfectly captures the love story.

His popularity increased as a result of the song’s charting on various radio stations in Lagos and throughout Nigeria, notably in other regions of the country besides Lagos.

The road to consistency doesn’t end with just one successful single, thus an artist needs to release successful songs frequently to maintain their position.

Amapiano-infused lead single “Kilofeshe,” from Zinoleesky’s debut EP “Chrome” (Eccentric), was the subject of much-anticipated visuals that were published in December 2020. This release is connecting the dots between consistency and stability.

The artist’s name is already well-known; in essence, all the biggest names in Nigerian music have praised his work and sense of style.

Olamide Adedeji, commonly known as Olamide, posted a profound message on Instagram a few hours after internet users accused him of being responsible for rising singer Portable’s inappropriate online behaviour.

Since hitting the limelight in December 2021, Portable has been embroiled one scandal after another.

The Zazuu performer reportedly claimed to be the founder of the Lagos-based cult groups One Million Boys and Ajah Boys.

However, he retracted his statement after Usman Baba, the Inspector General of Police, commanded a probe into his assertion.

The ‘Zazuu’ crooner generated angry reactions from Nigerians who called him out for his brutal behaviour and unbridled tongue that would lead him to jail.

While trying to retrace his steps, Portable denied his earlier statement, which was captured in a video, where he emphatically claimed he created the infamous one million boys.

He wrote:

This has come to an end that I have to voice out… please everyone I wana let you know that I didn’t meant to campaign for APC it was a show they told that am going to before I saw myself in APC office and as a man no need to worry I gats to do the job since it involved money . And what I meant by 1million boys is meant 1million followers . People are threatening my life ooo you should all look into this

I GO BY THE NAME PORTABLE OMOLALOMI, I DO MUSIC FOR LIVING

~DRZEH

In the midst of the issue, Olamide was held responsible for Portable’s behaviour since some critics said that he encouraged the musician to act inappropriately when he appeared on his song.

The YNBL boss took to his Instagram story to give a subtle reply by dropping a quote.

The father of two took to his Instagram story to share a deep message about letting go.

“Let go, not everything you seek is seeking you”
