Gospel singer, Sonnie Badu has opened up on what his colleague, Sammie Okposo said concerning his wife, before his demise.

Sharing a photo of the late Sammie Okposo and his wife on Instagram moments ago, Sonnie Badu wrote:

“I just want to say thank you to Mrs. Okposo. You are a good woman. You stood behind your husband until the end. He said so many good things about you in his challenging moments.. Thank you, thank you, thank you for covering him when he needed it .. Rest well #LandLord #RipSammieOkposo.”

While further mourning Sammie Okposo, Soonie Badu wrote “May-day… May-day a soldier is down !! @sammieokposo LANDLORD… You not picking up your phone… JESUS !!! Africa has just lost a General… The world of gospel music has lost a General … BROTHER BROTHER REST IN PEACE … Rest well .. WELU-WELU master..”

Mp3bullet recalls, Sammie Okposo slumped on Friday morning in his house and died at the age, 51.

After receiving the prize, Sonnie Badu expressed his gratitude by saying he is “very humbled, elated, and excited,” adding that it is “truly inspiring.”

“I’m extremely humbled, elated and excited about this new award – the Lifetime Achievement Award right here in the United States from my President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris,” he said in a video he shared on Instagram announcing the award. “I am truly grateful. This is truly inspiring.”

Sonnie Badu dedicated the prize to his son in the video’s caption, as well as thanking Trinity International University of Ambassadors, which awarded him four degrees in four months.

He revealed that his new achievement was made possible by the university.

In April of this year, a Twitter user exposed Sonnie Badu for obtaining fake degrees from an unaccredited university, prompting widespread criticism.

The Trinity International University Ambassadors (T.I.U.A), the institution that awarded Badu four degrees in four months, denies any ties to the US Department of Education.

Popular gospel singer, Sonnie Badu, has been accused of being an “academic scam” after he posted on social media that he is now a Professor and Dean of Musicology.

Recall we earlier posted about the singer’s achievement where he shared a proof of the certificate on his Instagram page.

However, some social media users questioned his academic feat because he got his PhD just few months prior.

A man, identified as @mnm_mensah has come out to counter and question the singer’s claims.

In his words;

“People are wondering why I’m on his case and why I’m calling him out. The case be simple. He’s an academic scam and not a victim of a scam. How did it all start? I chanced on a video where dude had earned a Professorial Cert.

Like for real? A Certificate of Professorship? How on earth!!!Face with tears of joyFace with tears of joy So as academic and curious as I am, go to Google Scholar (an academic search engine for anything academia) and type his name to see his publications… Unfortunately none. You can try that and see. Why? In the British system, Professorship is a rank attained as a result of your contribution to knowledge.

In the American system it is a term for anyone who teaches at the University level so let’s assume it’s not British but American. So I quickly run to Google to check out the institution. No website, no images of the school. Just blog posts. Then I chance on the second image. Sonnie attained his Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD in 4 months all from that school. Now we know you at least need one to do the other.

Except in some few cases where one has been able to acquire a PhD using the Bachelor’s but in all these three can’t be run concurrently in 4 months and for one who has not had any tertiary education before there was something fishy. So I go and confirm and it’s true dude said it. He gallantly displays all certs on his socials. He attributes them to grace and favour.”

Gospel singer, Sonnie Badu has just been awarded the Professorship title from the Trinity International University of Ambassadors.

The popular “Baba” singer took to his Instagram page on the 30th of March to announce and celebrate the news.

He posted a short clip of the certificate presented to him with the caption;

“Mummy it’s here … it’s official Professor And Dean of Musicology at @tiuauniversity”
