The actress was born in Limpopo, South Africa, on May 9, 1992. She has recently dazzled her followers with extravagant birthday celebrations.

“Shoma and the Stars, my new children’s book, has me incredibly excited. It’s a present to my young followers and to all the young people who dare to be different, she tells IOL Entertainment. It’s a lovely story that’s been brilliantly crafted.

According to Madjozi, she wanted to make the book available to her younger admirers as a way of encouraging them to be original, authentic, and creative.

“Keep that, you know, because when kids are young, they’re so experimental about what they want to wear and how they want to style their hair, and it seems like life gradually pushes us to become more like everyone else over time.

“It’s like my giving to say, ‘keep it, don’t let growing up take that away from you.'”

Some of Madjozi’s fans got their first glimpse of the book’s cover art when she appeared on hip hop artist Da L E S’s YouTube podcast, “Posted with Da L E S and Friends.”

However, considering L E S’s podcast, which is targeted at adults, also discusses drinking and marijuana use, her appearance on it didn’t go down well, and she quickly became a trending topic on Twitter.

Because of its relevant nature, Madjozi was open and honest about the experience, saying that it was the most enjoyable interview she had in a long time. What could be more relatable than two friends laughing and chatting while enjoying a drink, right?

Madjozi adds that there is this pressure, especially on mothers, that you can’t have fun, therefore I believe a lot of parents might also connect to it. People are sick of hearing that if you have fun, you’re a poor parent.

She was criticized for promoting her children’s book on an adult website and she responded to criticism by saying, “Sensible people recognize that there are distinct venues that are for different audiences.”

“Those who listen to the Da L E S podcast are aware of its contents. Although I don’t smoke marijuana myself, people are aware that this is what happens on Da L E S’s show, and there is a wide variety of alternative entertainment available if they like it.

Her adventure into writing for children is just getting started with her children’s book. She says “she wants to produce more material specifically targeted at children”.

It goes without saying that kids adore Sho Madjozi, and it’s impossible to forget how she encouraged young girls all over the nation to style their hair in bright braids like hers.

“That’s a big passion of mine and that is what this book is going to allow me to do and to create ‘Shoma’ as this character for kids because I think they do need great platforms and great entertainment,” Madjozi says.

In addition to publishing a children’s book, Madjozi also released her debut single, “Toro,” in November after almost two years without giving her fans any new music.

“I’m happy for the hiatus to be able to work on and perfect the craft and still have fans that will be looking forward to what I will put out.”

She had the chance to meet the WWE superstar after releasing the smash track “John Cena” in 2019, and the song was used in a major TV ad.

She revealed in March that she had found two team members who had been “stealing” from her and engaging in a variety of “dubious activities” to obstruct her possibilities.

The South African artist was dropped from the Nigerian singer’s album due to an attitude problem.

The highly talented Afro-fusion act released a 19-track rNb & soul album, which originally featured Sho Madjozi as a guest on a song titled “Shine,” but she was dropped due to an attitude problem.

In an interview with BEAT FM, Wurld stated that he had a negative vibe from Sho Madjozi after he dropped the project, and he decided not to promote it.

He went on to say that even when she shared the song, it was a different version that was being used as a brand advertisement.

Wurld after that, removed the South African singer from the project, leaving the song ‘shine’ without a feature.

The singer made it known that he knows his value and he hates when human beings put business ahead of mental or physical problems, he also speaks about his career, future plans, and other interesting topics.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but people these days love to vibe to the music that they listen to, maybe it’s because of life’s busyness or all the stresses we face in our day to day lives but after a long day of hustling, we need to let loose and dance, and that’s why Omary aka Marioo as we all know him has decided to soothe the hearts of his Tanzanian fans by releasing a banger called ‘bia tamu’ (translated to English as beer is Sweet).

Marioo was formally known for his sad songs, songs that were full of his pain and anguish as someone who has been mistreated in relationships, his famous songs like ‘Inatosha‘ and ‘Unanionea‘ are testament to this, as days went by it seemed like he stopped caring about relationship dramas and he decided to sing songs about other issues.

Nigerian indigenous rapper Zlatan drops his long-awaited second album titled “RESAN” a follow-up to his debut studio album titled Zanku.

The new album ‘Resan’ has features from guest artists Davido, Sho Madjozi, Bella Shmurda, Ms. Banks, Buju, etc.

There were predictions that I won’t be here for long, but God and my fans have proven all naysayers wrong. For this, I’m joyous and grateful.

I’ve burnt the candle at both ends to ensure that our album is top notch. I worked my ass out to please my fans and not let y’all down. It’s been hard but it’s been worth it.

The Amapiano sound infiltrated its way into the Nigerian airwaves in 2020 and it became popular after Nigerian artists like Mayorkun, Niniola, Davido, Masterkraft, Olamide and the rest jumped on it.

Origin wise, the sound originated from South Africa and is a Zulu word for ‘the pianos’. The sound is a style of house music that emerged in South Africa in 2012.

Amapiano is a deep house, jazz, and lounge music mix characterized by synths, airy pads, and wide and percussive bass lines.

It is characterized by high-pitched piano melodies, Kwaito bass lines, low tempo 90s South African house rhythms, and percussions from another local sub-genre of house music labelled as Bacardi.

While there has been a lot of ambiguity concerning its origins, there have been various accounts of the musical styles originating in the Johannesburg townships — Soweto, Alexandra, Vosloorus and Katlehong.

From the end of 2020 to the present, practically every A-list singer has jumped on the trend to create the ‘Nigerian Amapiano’ sound, much to the joy of their fans.

Amapiano in Nigeria

Nigerian musicians are noted for their ability to own any sound they are introduced to. This is known as the ‘Nigerian Effect.’

The Amapiano sound won’t be the first sound from outside the shores to have Nigerian artists jumping on it.

For example, the Makossa craze which had been the mainstream sound in Cameroon for decades before it swept Nigeria in the early 2000s, gained popularity in the Congo from the mid-’90s onwards, finally leading to the viral presence of Congolese singer Awilo Longomba within the country’s shores.

Another example is The Azonto sound which originated from Ghana and found its way into the Nigerian airwaves in the 2010s and had artists producing songs tailored to the sound.

While it’s not certain how Amapiano sound got into Nigeria, but social media and streaming platforms have a role to play in the popularity of the sound.

The sound started taking shape in Nigeria after Mayorkun dropped “Of Lagos” in the month of April 2020.

Then, music producer, Kiddominant dropped “EWallet” a collaboration with South African act, Cassper Nyovest in May and another music producer, Masterkraft dropping the Flavour-assisted “Equipment” in June.

It wasn’t too long when other artists like Rema and Niniola dropped “Woman” and “Addicted” respectively in the month of July.

At this time, the sound was at its baby steps in the Nigerian music Industry.

However, in the 4th quarter of 2020, it was evident that Amapiano was already becoming the trending sound in the Industry.

Davido wasn’t left out of the craze as his 2020 album, “A Better Time” contained three different Amapiano songs, “Heaven“, “I Have a friend” featuring Mayorkun and Sho Madjozi and “La La” featuring Ckay.

Other songs lie “Require” by DJ Tunez and Olamide, “Highway” by DJ Kaywise and Phyno, “Hallelu” by Masterkraft, Zlatan and Bella Shmurda, “Inumidun” by Skales, “Squander” by Falz and Niniola among others were dropped in the late part of 2020.

The popularity of these songs trickled into 2021 which witnessed a boom of more Amapiano songs. In fact, at some point, it felt like every artist was producing Amapiano inspired songs.

Except for a few other songs, Amapiano songs became the dominating songs on the airwaves.

Pan-African collaborations like that of Focalistic and Davido on the remix of “Ke Star“, “Coming” by Naira Marley and Busiswa among others have aided in the popularity of the sound.

South Africa and Nigeria connection

It would be a surprise to many to know that Amapiano isn’t the first South African sound to have Nigerian artists jumping on it. For example, the Shaku Shaku craze that once dominated the Industry can be traced back to South Africa.

In fact, one of Shaku Shaku’s earliest proponents, “Legbegbe” by Mr Real has its roots in Gqom- the House variant that combines SA folk with bombastic, Techno-indented bassline.

This song alongside other similarly styled bangers like “Oshozondi” and “Shepeteri”, led the Shaku Shaku wave that has now become foundational to Nigerian street-hop music today.

Through constant innovation, the sound has mutated and evolved into several dimensions.

This is also the same case in Amapiano. However, unlike Gqom which elements could be manipulated to give a different sound, Amapiano is a lot more complex due to its musical specificity.

The subgenre’s sonic make-up is so distinct that it’s obvious when it’s been adopted, and retooling causes such severe alterations that it can no longer be classified as Amapiano.

It doesn’t imply that the sound is limited; rather, it emphasizes how distinctive it is.

Zlatan recently shared a video of his live conversation with Raheem Sterling on his Instagram Story.

In the video sighted by Mp3bullet.ng, the Nigerian Rapper was grateful to the footballer for the thoughtful gift he sent to him.

He informed Sterling that he had arrived in England and would be staying until November 7.

They decided to meet on either Saturday or Sunday. Sterling also inquired about Zlatan’s ongoing shows, to which he replied that it was going well.

Zlatan is now in England, promoting his upcoming concert at the O2 arena which would be held on the 31st of October, 2021

The rapper is also set to release a 12-track album titled “Resan.”

The album which will be his sophomore project will be released on November 5, 2021, according to Zlatan’s announcement.

The album features popular Nigerian artists like Davido, Flavour, Phyno, Buju, Ms banks, Rayvanny, Sho Madjozi, Bella Shmurda.

The Production squad includes P.Priime, Spellz, Niphkeys, Rexxie among others.
