After the midfielder was ‘provisionally’ suspended for failing an anti-doping test, Rafaela Pimenta, Paul Pogba’s agent, released a statement.

The midfielder was found to have tested positive for testosterone, a banned substance, after Juventus‘ clash with Udinese in Serie A.

The former Manchester United star has been provisionally suspended by the Italian anti-doping agency and has three days to reply to the adverse test.

In response to the revelation, Pimenta has released a statement in which she maintains that her client “never wanted to break the rules.”

Per journalist Simon Stone, Pimenta said: “We are waiting for the counter analysis and until then we can’t say anything.

“The certain thing is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break the rules.”

The test happened after the club played Udinese, but he has since faced both Bologna and Empoli while the test results were analysed.

Since returning to Juventus from Manchester United in 2022, Pogba has only appeared on the field 12 times for the Serie A powerhouse.

USMNT star Christian Pulisic has completed a £17 million ($22m) transfer to AC Milan from Chelsea.

On Wednesday, Pulisic underwent a successful medical at his new club before signing a four-year contract that will keep him at San Siro through 2027, with an option to extend for one additional season.

Azpilicueta has been told he is free to leave Chelsea, and sources have revealed that he is close to a move to Inter. Malo Gusto, a January addition who will add extra competition for James at Stamford Bridge, is expected to arrive there this summer.

While Saudi Arabia and Bayern Munich have both expressed interest in Azpilicueta, 33, he is likely to take his skills to Inter, who have reached an agreement on a two-year contract with the right-back.

Despite still having one year remaining on his deal at Chelsea, Azpilicueta is expected to be granted a free transfer as a sign of respect for his 11 years of service.

Azpilicueta joined in Chelsea in 2012 from Marseille with little fanfare, but he quickly made a name for himself as an essential member of the team’s defence. He has played on both the right and left sides of the defence and, later in his career, even switched to the centre-back position.

Azpilicueta is sixth on the club’s all-time appearance list with 508 appearances for Chelsea, and club management are eager to acknowledge his loyalty by allowing him to leave on a free transfer.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has acknowledged he would just “go with the flow” in regard to a potential summer move and leave his fate in the hands of club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.

The 24-year-old enjoyed the best season of his career in 2022–2023, scoring 26 goals in Serie A to help Napoli win their first championship since Diego Maradona played for the team in 1990. As a consequence, Osimhen won the Capocannoniere award for the league’s best scorer, and as the transfer window draws closer, both Manchester United and Chelsea are keeping an eye on him.

Osimhen is Chelsea’s top target for 2023, according to an earlier report, since the Blues are currently without a designated number nine player after Romelu Lukaku’s club-record return went sour. After Cristiano Ronaldo left in November, United are also looking for a striker.

Jose Mourinho has acknowledged having “deep feelings” for every team he has ever worked with, with the exception of just one—Tottenham.

Mourinho has won trophies with teams in five distinct countries, solidifying his place among the all-time great managers.

More than 30 years ago, the Portuguese coach at Sporting CP first served as the late Bobby Robson’s assistant coach after being employed as a translator. When Louis van Gaal was named head coach, he stayed at Camp Nou having accompanied the Englishman to Porto and then Barcelona.

Mourinho made his independent debut in 2000 with a brief stay at Benfica. He subsequently moved on to Uniao de Leiria and had his major break in 2002 after returning to Porto.

Mourinho won the UEFA Cup to Porto at the end of his first season there, and a year later, his club won the Champions League, making them the last Portuguese team to reach the final.

When Chelsea recruited Mourinho in 2004, he dubbed himself a “Special One,” and mythology was created.

With Chelsea, Inter, and Real Madrid over the years, Mourinho won the Premier League, Serie A, and La Liga crowns as well as domestic cups in all three nations. Roma won the first Europa Conference League last season and advanced to this season’s Europa League final, but even during his time at Manchester United, he won the League Cup and the Europa League.

Dusan Vlahovic is not for sale, according to Juventus, despite a new point deduction that might prevent them from qualifying for the Champions League.

Despite his criticism of the 10-point penalty given to Juventus, Massimiliano Allegri has pledged to continue as manager.

After receiving punishment for alleged “financial irregularities,” the Bianconeri now seem set to finish outside of the top four in Serie A, missing out on Champions League participation in the process.

Juve, who had earlier appealed against a 15-point punishment, learned of their destiny just before the start of Monday’s game against Empoli, which they would ultimately lose 4-1. Allegri lashed out at the Turin authorities for how they handled the sad situation.

Allegri told DAZN when asked about the punishment and whether it could impact his future at the Allianz Stadium: “We need to talk to the club and see where we are playing. I don’t know if they will even allow us to play in the Europa League, we’ll have to wait and see. Obviously, if you are out of all competition, you have to make one plan. We cannot say that Juventus will immediately get back to winning next season, but the important thing is to all be aligned during difficulties.

“It would be cowardly for me to abandon Juventus at this moment. I am disappointed tonight because it was an opportunity, but I also cannot reproach the team for anything, because it has been a continual chasing down of situations. I want to point out one thing: Juventus are second in the table, we earned that on the field. We accept everything, but I really hope this just gets sorted out once and for all. It’s a steady drip, drip, drip, let them just decide where they want Juventus to be, tell us and resolve the problem. It is a lack of respect towards people who are working, players and coaches. I am not telling them what to decide, I just ask them to decide once and for all. It’s incredible. Just incredible. Enough is enough.”

Juve now sits seventh in Serie A, outside of the slots needed to qualify for Europe, but Allegri wants to see the team stand up again and respond positively to those who have been trying to bring them down. He added: “Juventus have always got back on our feet, we need to be clear-headed. Now we can only hope that we can begin the next season knowing what the situation is.

I don’t know how we reached this point, because I might seem impervious to everything, but it has been just torture. I wish they’d have just told us two months ago what the penalty was and let us know if we were going to be stabbed or poisoned, because at least we’d know.”

Juventus still has two matches to play in the current season, against AC Milan and Udinese, and will probably need to change their preparations for the summer transfer window as they prepare for the possibility that they won’t be playing any continental football in 2023–24.

The Serie A Federal Court of Appeal of the FIGC has deducted ten points from Juventus.

A January decision that resulted in a 15-point fine was overturned in April, and a fresh inquiry into Juve’s prior transfer dealings was launched.

Pavel Nedved, a former vice president of Bianconeri, was one of eight executives who were found not guilty after gaining the opportunity to challenge the length of their suspensions.

A statement from Italy’s Football Association reads: “Called upon by the Collegio di Garanzia dello Sport to renew its assessment on the penalty to be imposed on Juventus for the so-called ‘capital gains case’, the Corte Federale d’Appello, chaired by Ida Raiola, sanctioned the Bianconeri club with ten penalty points in the league table to be served in the current football season.

“The Court also acquitted Pavel Nedved, Paolo Garimberti, Assia Grazioli Venier, Caitlin Mary Hughes, Daniela Marilungo, Francesco Roncaglio and Enrico Vellano of the charges.”

The latest decision was announced just before Juve’s Monday night match against Empoli. Massimiliano Allegri’s team will drop from second place in the rankings to seventh as a result of the deduction.

Juve’s chief football officer Francesco Calvo, said: “The first impressions are negative. We’re not satisfied. We expected it would arrive before the game.

“It’s too soon to make any further comment. We’ll put out a statement soon. First we need to read the written reasons to understand what margin there is for another appeal.”

Juve have been accused of adjusting balance statements by inflating transfer fees, but they insist that they did nothing wrong.
