Nottingham Forest have officially appointed Sean Dyche as their new head coach, the club announced on Tuesday, confirming the 52-year-old’s return to familiar ground after years away from his boyhood side.

Forest’s move for Dyche came swiftly in the wake of Ange Postecoglou’s dismissal, which followed a disappointing 3–0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge over the weekend.

The former Everton and Burnley boss, who began his football journey as a youth player at Forest, will make his managerial debut for the club on Thursday when they face FC Porto in the Europa League.

In accordance with reports, the England starter’s position was being followed by a number of teams looking to replace their goalkeeper in the summer, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham.

Pickford has decided to stay with the Toffees through the summer of 2027 after being impressed with new Everton boss Sean Dyche.

Everton have reportedly made a £45million offer to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea.

It happens just an hour after Sean Dyche was officially named Everton’s manager as the Toffees attempt to strengthen their squad following the loss of Anthony Gordon to Newcastle.

According to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Everton has offered £40 million with £5 million in add-ons.

The rumoured deal would cost exactly £40 million plus £5 million in add-ons, which is the price for which Anthony Gordon was sold to Newcastle.

Since other teams are also interested in Gallagher, the Blues will decide what to do with him soon.

Everton have confirmed and announced the appointment of former Burnley boss Sean Dyche as their new manager on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

After speaking with former Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa, Mp3bullet reported on Friday that Dyche has been chosen by the Everton board as Frank Lampard’s replacement.

Dyche is Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri’s third permanent manager since taking over the club over seven years ago.

Dyche, one of the Premier League’s most regarded and experienced managers, will be assisted by former Nottingham Forest winger Ian Woan as Assistant Manager, ex-England international Steve Stone as First-Team Coach, and Mark Howard, who will assist with sports science. All three employees previously worked for Dyche at Burnley.

Dyche told the club’s official website: “It’s an honour to become Everton manager. My staff and I are ready and eager to help get this great club back on track.

“I know about Everton’s passionate fanbase and how precious this club is to them. We’re ready to work and ready to give them what they want. A 2-0 loss to fellow strugglers West Ham on January 21 kept Lampard’s team in last place with 15 points after 20 games, two points outside the safety zone.

The Merseyside team has been struggling under the former England international; their most recent league victory came in a 3-0 home victory over Crystal Palace in October.

After managing Derby County in the second tier in 2018/19 and Chelsea from 2019–2021, Lampard was signed by Everton in January 2022. However, Dyche will now be responsible for stopping the club’s descent into the Championship.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright said: “Kevin [Thelwell, director of football] and I spent some valuable time with Sean over the past few days and he quickly convinced me that he has exactly the right attributes to make himself a great Everton manager – and a man who could inspire our fanbase. According to reports, Everton are set to appoint Sean Dyche as their next manager following the departure of Frank Lampard.

Lampard was fired earlier this week, and Everton has spent the previous few days interviewing potential replacements, including former Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Bielsa was reportedly interested in the Everton position, and earlier this week he went from South America to England for another round of negotiations. However, sources now indicate that the Toffees have chosen Dyche over Bielsa.
