Brazil legend Ronaldo is set to marry for the third time at age 46 after getting engaged to his model girlfriend during a Caribbean getaway.

The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan striker and stunning Celina Locks announced their engagement with romantic ‘I love you’ messages.

The 32-year-old flashed off her ring to fans on her social media and wrote: “Yes I do” in English before adding in Portuguese: “I love you forever @ronaldo.”

The retired footballer, now President of LaLiga side Valladolid, replied ‘Love You’ with four heart emoticons.

Milene Domingues, the ex-wife of Ronaldo, was among the first to offer her congratulations to the happy couple, who are vacationing in the Dominican Republic.

The former footballer wrote: “I’m happy for you. God bless and protect you always. Long live love.”

Before their four-year marriage ended in September 2003, Ronaldo and Milene gave birth to their son Ronald, who is currently a DJ and 22 years old.

In February 2005, he planned a wedding ceremony for model Daniella Cicarelli at a castle in France, but it turned out that they were not legally wed because neither of them had finalized their divorces from their former relationships.

Three months after their extravagant wedding ceremony at a castle, the couple called it quits. Daniella later claimed that Ronaldo had cheated on her. After their romance ended, the former football star married engineering student Maria Beatriz Antony. During their seven-year relationship, the pair had two kids, Maria Sofia, 14, and Maria Alice, 12.

Ronaldo has been dating Brazilian Celina, who as well as a model is a successful businesswoman, for the past seven years. He revealed he had a vasectomy after he was confirmed as the father of Alexander, now 16, in December 2010 following a fling with waitress Michele Umezu.

Ronaldo later revealed to the Financial Times that had sperm frozen, joking he had enough still to make a football team. In March last year Celina duped the world into believing she was pregnant with her future husband’s fifth child.

She posted a selfie photo showing her dressed in pink with her hand on her stomach and wrote: “A new phase of my life is beginning and with it a great responsibility.”

She subsequently revealed her new ‘baby’ was actually a perfume she was launching as part of a beauty products range. Ronaldo and Celina have yet to announce where and when they will marry.

Despite Lionel Messi’s outstanding performance against Croatia, Piers Morgan names his four greatest footballers in history. He claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest player to ever play the game of football.

Morgan only ranked Messi as the fourth greatest footballer of all time.

On Tuesday night, Messi advanced to his second World Cup final in spectacular fashion by scoring and providing an assist in Argentina’s 3-0 victory over Croatia.

The SunSport columnist opened by congratulating Messi and Argentina on their World Cup semifinal appearance.

Soccer Saturday presenter Jeff Stelling then pressed further on his take, saying: “So where are we now @piersmorgan in the Ronaldo v Messi debate?”

And Morgan responded by saying Messi doesn’t even break into his top three, ranking Diego Maradona and Brazilian Ronaldo ahead of him too.

He said: “I think Cristiano Ronaldo’s the best ever, Maradona 2nd, Messi 3rd (possibly 4th actually, behind R9 [Brazilian Ronaldo]).”

Last month, Morgan’s bombshell interview with Ronaldo ultimately led to his Manchester United contract being terminated.
