The artist, who is currently serving a 30-year sentence for sex-related convictions at a North Carolina facility, has had his legal team file an emergency motion claiming his life is in immediate danger due to a reported assassination attempt orchestrated within the prison walls.

According to documents obtained by TMZ, the threat was brought to light by Mikeal Glenn Stine, a terminally ill inmate who has identified himself as a high-ranking member of the Aryan Brotherhood. Stine alleges that prison staff colluded with inmates to arrange Kelly’s murder—reportedly offering him a shot at early release in exchange for carrying out the act and making it appear accidental.

Stine allegedly disclosed the plot to R. Kelly in March and has since turned whistleblower, stating his willingness to undergo a polygraph test and provide testimony. In the aftermath, Kelly’s legal team claims the situation has intensified, with a new hit reportedly assigned to another gang member—putting both Kelly and Stine at further risk, especially since several gang affiliates are still active within the prison.

In response to the threats, Kelly has also submitted a petition to the U.S. Supreme Court, asking for a review of his case. He is seeking immediate release or, at minimum, relocation to home confinement, citing escalating security threats and his desire to continue music work while under safer conditions. His attorneys argue that the circumstances pose an urgent and credible risk to his life, requiring swift action by the justice system.

Sony Music, the record company, has explained why the controversial R. Kelly album “I Admit It” was taken off from online streaming services.

Following R. Kelly’s unexpected release of a project from prison titled ‘I Admit It,’ Sony Music has come forward to explain why the project was pulled from all digital streaming services.

According to Variety magazine, R. Kelly’s ‘I Admit It’ was distributed illegally and not by them as an entertainment firm. Additionally, R. Kelly’s attorney alleged that her client was the victim of intellectual property theft.

Jennifer Bonjean, who is Kelly’s attorney, also informed Variety that the release did not come from the singer as well.

She said, R. Kelly:

“is having intellectual property stolen from him.”

R. Kelly became a trending topic of conversation all the way from his prison cell after the public release and now removal of his “I Admit” album.

The album, which was released on December 9th while the artist is serving a 30-year prison sentence, had many versions of the song “I Admit,” in which he rapped about his various charges, including sexual assault, in an unapologetic manner.

A few hours after its debut, the album was however removed from Spotify and Apple Music.

Some sources claim that “I Admit,” which immediately sparked a flood of comments on social media, is a bootleg version, which means it was not put out by R. Kelly or his crew.

However, some records had been up on SoundCloud as far back as 2018 before being uploaded on streaming giants; Apple Music and Spotify. R. Kelly is currently serving a 30-year-sentence on charges of sex trafficking and has been in prison since June 2022.

American singer and songwriter R. Kelly has been convicted in his federal child pornography trial in Chicago.

A federal jury in Illinois found the disgraced singer guilty on six of the 13 counts on Wednesday, including three counts of child pornography and three counts of encouraging criminal sexual activity among minors.

In July 2019, he was acquitted on all counts while his former business manager Derrel McDavid and former employee Milton “June” Brown were found not guilty on all seven charges.

Several of Kelly’s alleged victims testified during the five-week trial that Kelly started sexually abusing them when they were minors. One prominent witness, known only as “Jane,” testified under oath that Kelly started abusing her when she was 14 and recorded the encounters.

The conviction comes 14 years after another jury acquitted Kelly of child pornography charges.

That case stemmed from a videotape that allegedly showed Kelly engaging in sex acts with “Jane.” Jurors in that trial said her refusal to testify played a major role in Kelly’s acquittal.

After being found guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking by a Brooklyn jury last year, the 55-year-old singer was previously given a 30-year prison sentence. That prison sentence might be lengthened by years if found guilty in Chicago.

Kelly still faces two other pending criminal cases in Cook County and another in Minnesota.

The gospel musician shared a screenshot from a fake account belonging to the American artist who is currently incarcerated on charges of sexual assault.

In his badly written message to Frank Edwards, ‘R.Kelly’ had requested a $100 assistance from him, noting that the contribution would go towards his legal fees

The said scammer had sent him a direct message on Instagram introducing himself as R. Kelly and lamenting that he is about to go to jail like a nobody after making so much impact in the world.

He then stated that he needs help to get a lawyer and that as little as $100 dollar will go a long way to help him.

The Nigerian singer has simply replied to the request with, “you no well.”

The verdict on the American R&B star is finally out, and the singer is set to be imprisoned for a long time as he receives a sentence that will keep him in prison for several years.

According to CNN, U.S. District Court Judge Ann Donnelly sentenced the singer to 30 years in prison in a Brooklyn courtroom after he was found guilty on all nine counts in his sex trafficking case.

Ann Donnelly said; “These crimes were calculated and carefully planned and regularly executed for almost 25 years.”

The 55-year-old singer, known as the King of R&B, has been dogged with accusations of sexual abuse against young adults and minors for the majority of his career and was arrested in 2019 after being indicted by grand juries in his hometown of Illinois.

After decades of sexual misconduct charges against him, the R&B singer was found guilty on Monday afternoon (27 September). Kelly had pleaded not guilty to racketeering charges stemming from crimes such as child sexual exploitation, kidnapping, and forced labour.

He was also found guilty on criminal charges of breaking the Mann Act, which makes it illegal to transport people across state borders “for any immoral purpose.”

Kelly now faces a sentence ranging from ten years to life in prison. His sentencing date is set for May 4, 2022.

Drea, who has three children with the musician, has previously claimed that he assaulted her “physically and sexually.”

On Tuesday (28 September), Drea told Susanna Reid and Alastair Campbell on Good Morning Britain that it was “really sad” that R Kelly had taken so long to be found guilty.

When asked how she felt about the news, she expressed her feelings as follows:

“I’m in a very difficult position because I also have three children with him. I feel like my heart is in two places.”

She added:

“You cannot walk away from your bloodline. It’s a part of their DNA, they can’t escape it even if they want to.”

She declined to comment on her children’s reactions to their father’s conviction, saying only:

“I support my children in with everything. They have the right to feel whatever they feel.”

Drea – whose real name is Andrea Lee — was married to R Kelly from 1996 to 2009. She characterised being with him as a “life of continual anxiety” in which his mood was unpredictably unpredictable.

Abi (born Joann) Kelly, one of R Kelly and Drea’s daughters, revealed in a 2019 interview that she tries not to pay attention to news about her father:

“I don’t let that be a part of my every day,” she said. “We don’t have a relationship, so it’s not like me to check in on him. I don’t personally go look it all up and read. I keep myself out of it.”

After six weeks of harrowing testimony, the jury deliberated for only nine hours before convicting R. Kelly of methodically recruiting women and teenagers for sex, grooming, and violently abusing them.

The 54-year-old celebrity sat largely still, holding his head down and occasionally closing his eyes behind black-rimmed spectacles, dressed in a light blue tie, pinstriped navy suit, and a white mask.

He could spend the rest of his life in prison. The date of his sentencing has been set on May 4th.

To convict Kelly of the most serious allegation of racketeering, jurors had to find him guilty of at least two of 14 “predicate actions,” or offences that are part of a larger pattern of illicit behaviour.

Accusations of rape, druggings, detention, and child pornography were among the raunchy testimony used to substantiate those offences.

All but two of the acts were proven by the jury of five women and seven men.

Kelly was also found guilty of all eight counts of violating the Mann Act, which prohibits sex trafficking.

R. Kelly has paid up the demanded $100,000 bail to ascertain his release.

The singer spent a weekend in jail after facing charges of felony and sexual abuse.

Recall that Mp3Bullet reported that the singer could not afford the $1,000,000 bail demanded by the presiding judge.

R. Kelly who may have to spend 70 years in jail if found guilty o the 10 count charge, has pleaded not guilty.

The ‘Born to My Music‘ singer is also being charged for his outstanding child-support payments of around $160,000. For which he must appear in court on the 6th of March.

The next hearing for the case is scheduled for March 22.

Following series of charges leveled against singer, R. Kelly, the court has granted him bail.

The presiding judge, John Fitzgerald Lyke Jr granted him $1,000,000 bond. He described the charges as ‘disturbing’.

The singer had returned to the Police on Friday after an arrest warrant was issued.

The judge also ordered R. Kelly to surrender his passport and to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18.

The ‘Born to My Music‘ singer is facing a 10 count charge of felony criminal and sexual abuse and may have to be jailed for 70 years if guilty. Even his ex-wife is suing him for abuse.

Although only $100,000 needs to be paid in order for Kelly to be released from custody ahead of his trial. But he cannot afford it.

There are also reports that R.Kelly’s female fans are trying to pay his $1,000,000 bond.
