Nigerian Entertainers like Wizkid, Davido, Don Jazzy, Simi and others have taken to social media to respond to the recent attack on a catholic church in Owo Ondo state.

On Sunday, June 5, 2022, an attack led by unknown gunmen in in a catholic church in Owo Ondo state led to the death of many.

Reacting to the incident, Davido had shared a tweet which stated:

Falz shared two posts on his Twitter feed which stated:

So many different emotions, but mostly anger and absolute frustration. Sick to my stomach. Such a mess this place has become.

Wizkid had taken to his Instagram story where he shared a heartbroken emoji with the Nigerian flag right in front of it.

Don Jazzy has shared an emotional and lengthy message to the families of the lives lost in the Owo Ondo attack.

His message read:

My heart goes out to the relatives and friends of victims of the gruesome killings in Owo, Ondo state today. This is a crime against humanity which shouldn’t be tolerated in any civil society. To paraphrase Senator Adeyeye’s words in the red chamber a few years ago: Every crime is local and the solutions should be locally sourced.Be that as it may, I believe a strong political will would be needed to nip these crimes in the bud so the sanctity of lives and properties can be preserved hereafter. I also think the issue of state police should be back amongst talking points as the general elections approach.Despite the political ramifications of this as noted by critics, I think the safety of the Nigerian people should be given the utmost priority. Let’s all work together for a Nigeria that’s safe for all.

Peruzzi made this known in an interview on Nancy Isime’s show. The “Majesty” crooner said, it was a decision of courage as his manager encouraged him to man up and try their luck.

According to the singer, on getting to Davido, he humbly reached out his hand to Peruzzi for a handshake despite the tension of what to meet.

Nigerian singer, Peruzzi appeared on Nancy Isime Show, hosted by actor and TV host, Nancy Isime on April 3, 2021, where he discussed a few issues including the ongoing drama he has with Patrick Anyaene, the CEO of Golden Boy Entertainment, a record label to which he was signed before he joined Davido’s DMW.

He said, “You are still going on social media, it means it’s not favouring you now. Me, I’m good… Me, I like court. He [Patrick] got me arrested one time now, I landed from Lagos to Abuja, I had a show and he got me arrested. You say you have an artist, right and that you have a contract and the artist breached the contract.

That means if you go to court, you would win [the case] for sure right? So why don’t you just go there?”

Anyaene captured the video and reposted on his social media with the caption,

In the background, he can he heard saying, “This guy is an a**hole for real, ingrate… bastard.”
