This project is not just music; it feels like a message, like someone sitting you down and telling you everything they have been through.

Coming from Port Harcourt, Surrex brings his real-life experiences into this album. He mixes the street energy he grew up with and the new things he has seen from travelling abroad, especially his trip to Doha, Qatar. The album shows how leaving home can change how you think, but also how your roots still stay with you.

A Journey From Home to the World

Surrex uses what he calls Afro Gist, a style that sounds like normal talking but still carries rhythm and flow. Instead of shouting or rushing, he keeps it calm, almost like he is having a deep conversation with a close friend late at night.

His delivery is smooth, but his words carry meaning. The album talks about life struggles, pressure from society, chasing success, and personal growth. These are things many young people go through, which makes the album easy to connect with, even for a 15-year-old trying to understand life step by step.

The title Letter From Doha explains the whole idea of the album. It feels like Surrex is writing a letter from a far place, telling people back home what he has learned. His time in Doha helped him see life differently, and that change shows in his music.

But even with this global experience, he never forgets where he comes from. You can still hear the influence of Port Harcourt in his sound, his words, and his storytelling. This balance between local and global makes the album feel complete.

Music Made Across Different Places

One interesting part of this album is how it was created. Surrex recorded songs in Qatar, Lagos, and Port Harcourt, showing how his journey shaped the sound. The production, led mainly by Susshi, helps keep the project consistent while still allowing each track to feel fresh.

There are also a few features that add extra flavour. Kokoz Beat appears on Innocent Beauty, while Phrizsound contributes to the intro Isakaba. These collaborations support Surrex’s vision without taking attention away from his story.

Surrex draws inspiration from artists like Drake, Dave, BNXN, Blaqbonez, and Jack Harlow. You can hear it in how he blends rap with melody and keeps his delivery simple but meaningful.

Like Dave, he tells real-life stories. Like Drake, he balances emotion and confidence. But even with these influences, Surrex keeps his own identity strong. His voice feels original and honest.

Throughout the album, one thing is clear, Surrex is focused on growth. He talks about working hard, dealing with pressure, and staying true to himself. The album doesn’t try to be perfect; instead, it shows real life as it is.

For younger listeners, the message is simple: life may be hard, but growth takes time, and your journey is your own. You don’t have to rush or compare yourself to others.

Midex Returns With a Sweet and Catchy Afrobeat Love Song, Sick Love. It shows his ability to switch between deep reflection and joyful expression.

After staying away from releasing new music for over a year, Midex returns with a fresh and exciting single titled Sick Love, released on April 10, 2026.

Sick Love: Midex Delivers a Sweet and Catchy Afrobeat Love Song

This song is bright, romantic, and full of energy, showing that Midex is ready to reconnect with his fans in a big way.

Sick Love blends Afrobeat, Afropop, and Amapiano, creating a sound that feels modern but is still rooted in African rhythm. It is the kind of song you can dance to, sing along with, and also feel emotionally. Even for a 15-year-old listener, the message is clear, it’s about finding someone who makes you happy and not wanting to lose them.

A Love Story Anyone Can Understand

At the heart of Sick Love is a simple but powerful message: real love feels exciting, strong, and sometimes overwhelming. Midex expresses this clearly in the lyrics:

“I found my love in you baby, I will never never let you go”

This line shows deep commitment. It talks about finding someone special and wanting to hold on to them. He repeats this feeling again with:

“I found the truth in you baby yea, I will never never let you go”

This makes it easy to understand that the song is not just about attraction, but also trust and connection. It’s the kind of love that feels real and important.

Then he adds a fun and catchy line:

“Ebelebe your body is a killer, ko ma gbon gbon gbon”

This part brings in a playful and cultural vibe. “Ebelebe” gives the song a unique Afrobeat flavour, while the lyrics describe how attractive and special the girl is. It’s sweet, expressive, and easy to vibe to.

Sound That Makes You Move and Feel Good

One of the best things about Sick Love is how it sounds. The beat is lively, smooth, and full of rhythm. It combines soft melodies with danceable energy, making it perfect for different moments, whether you are relaxing, dancing, or just listening with friends.

The Amapiano influence adds bounce, while the Afrobeat base keeps it grounded. This mix makes the song feel fresh and exciting. It’s the kind of track you can imagine playing at a party, in a car ride, or even trending on TikTok.

Midex draws inspiration from artists like Wizkid, Kizz Daniel, and Asake, and you can hear this in his music. Like Wizkid, he keeps things smooth and melodic. Like Kizz Daniel, he knows how to make catchy love songs. And like Asake, he adds energy and cultural expression.

Even with these influences, Midex still sounds like himself. His voice, delivery, and storytelling feel natural and honest, not forced.

Iboomz makes a strong first impression with his debut EP, ZIDATIFE, a six-track Afro-fusion project that blends deep emotion with catchy rhythms.

This is not just music you listen to casually; it is music you feel. From the very first track, it is clear that this project comes from a real place in the artist’s life.

Iboomz “ZIDATIFE” EP: A Powerful Afro-Fusion Story of Hope and Emotion

The EP stands out in today’s Afrobeat and Afro-fusion space for blending storytelling, rhythm, and meaning in a way that is easy to understand, even for younger listeners. Whether you are dancing or thinking about life, ZIDATIFE gives you both.

What “ZIDATIFE” Really Means

The title ZIDATIFE is very important for understanding the project as a whole. In the Igbo language, it means “to send down something”. Think of it like something good coming from above, like help, blessings, or strength arriving when you need it most.

For Iboomz, this “something” is his music. Each song feels like a message being delivered to the listener. But the title also has a deeper emotional meaning. It is a tribute to his late cousin, a young girl full of life who passed away at just nine years old. Because of this, the EP is not just about sound; it is about memory, love, and keeping someone’s spirit alive.

One thing that makes ZIDATIFE special is its sound. Iboomz mixes Afrobeat rhythms with elements of rap, jazz, country, and even indie music. This creates a fresh Afro-fusion style that feels both modern and unique.

The beats are lively and easy to move to, but the lyrics carry deeper messages. For example, songs address feelings such as struggle, fear, hope, and strength. This balance makes the EP enjoyable whether you want to dance or sit quietly and listen.

Even if you don’t fully understand every word, the emotion in the music still reaches you. That is one of the strongest parts of this project.

A True Home-Grown Project

Iboomz writes in a way that is easy to follow. His lyrics are not too complicated, which makes them perfect for a wide audience. At the same time, they still carry meaning.

For example, lines about struggle and survival feel relatable because everyone goes through hard times. When he talks about strength and hope, it feels like encouragement, almost like he is speaking directly to you.

The songs don’t just tell stories; they also ask you to think about your own life. That is what makes the EP powerful.

Another interesting thing about ZIDATIFE is how it was made. The entire EP was created in Nigeria, from the beats to the final recordings. This gives it an authentic feel.

Even more surprising is how quickly it was recorded. With everything already prepared, the team completed the project in just eight hours over two days. This shows how focused and ready Iboomz was.

Because he also produces his own music, he has full control over his sound. This helps the EP feel consistent and well put together.

Iboomz’s ZIDATIFE blends Afrobeat energy and deep storytelling, drawing clear inspiration from Fela Kuti, Kendrick Lamar, and Asake to create a sound that is both vibrant and meaningful.

With touches of melody and emotion influenced by Coldplay and the smooth hip-hop style of A Tribe Called Quest, the EP delivers a unique Afro-fusion experience that is easy to enjoy while still carrying powerful messages about life and growth.

300 Spartans: A Modern Anthem of Strength

The lead single, 300 Spartans, immediately grabs attention with its raw energy and commanding lyrics. Inspired by the legendary story of courage and unity, the track transforms historic bravery into a modern battle cry for anyone chasing dreams or overcoming struggles. With lyrics like:

“I was hustling in the street, for some rabber in my jeans.
$50 paid my bills heyyy I was feeling rich at that time”

the song conveys resilience, determination, and the excitement of winning against odds. The line,,“ My and my niggas pull out where hoes are”

reflects loyalty to one’s team and the sense of standing together, a theme repeated throughout the EP.

Produced with high-energy beats, hard-hitting rhythms, and melodic street influences, 300 Spartans embodies the spirit of Afrobeats while integrating the edgy vibe of hip-hop. Fans of Lil Wayne, Burna Boy, and Wizkid will notice the subtle nods to these icons in Luca Swavi’s style, yet he confidently keeps his unique voice front and center.

Africa in My Bones by Moovender is a unique album that blends Amapiano music with deep African culture in a way that feels both fresh and meaningful. This is not just an album made for dancing; it is also about identity, heritage, and storytelling.

Right from the opening track, “Africa In My Bone (The Synthesis),” the message is clear. When he says, “Africa is in my bone,” it shows that his culture is not something external, but something that lives inside him. That line sets the tone for the rest of the album and gives listeners an idea of what to expect.

Amapiano sound with a deeper meaning

If you are familiar with Amapiano, you will notice the smooth and calming vibe throughout the album. The music carries deep bass that you can feel, soft piano melodies that flow gently, and a relaxed rhythm that keeps everything balanced. However, Moovender goes beyond this by adding traditional African elements into the mix.

He includes sounds like the powerful ngoma drums, the gentle and hypnotic mbira, and traditional chants from Venda and Shona culture. These elements come together to create a sound that feels modern but also strongly connected to African history. It is like listening to two different worlds coming together in harmony.

Listening to this album feels like going on a journey across different parts of Africa. The music creates the feeling of moving from a busy city environment to a more peaceful and cultural setting. Each track adds something new while still connecting to the overall theme, making the album feel complete.

Instead of sounding like separate songs put together, the tracks flow into each other naturally. This makes the album feel like one long story rather than disconnected pieces of music.

What makes this album different

Moovender draws inspiration from legendary African artists such as Hugh Masekela, Brenda Fassie, and Oliver Mtukudzi. Their influence can be heard in the emotional depth of the music and the way each sound carries meaning beyond just entertainment.

This connection to past legends helps the album feel grounded while still sounding modern and forward-thinking.

Many Amapiano albums focus mainly on creating a vibe for dancing, but Africa in My Bones stands out because it also tells a story and connects listeners to culture. It successfully blends traditional African sounds with modern production, showing that music can evolve without losing its roots.

The name Moovender itself carries meaning, as “Moo” represents movement and progress, while “Vender” reflects his Venda heritage. Together, it shows his mission of moving African culture forward through modern sound.

Even if you are new to Amapiano or African traditional music, this album is easy to connect with. The beats are smooth, the rhythms are engaging, and the message is simple enough to understand. You can enjoy it while relaxing, thinking, or just vibing to the music.

Biza Blingza, known to many as Dutty Blingz, steps into a new phase of his artistry with his April release, Dutty O’Clock, a 7-track Afrobeats EP that carries pride, confidence, and deep cultural identity. This project shows a more mature and focused Biza Blingza, combining the rawness of UK street life with the warmth of his Edo heritage in Nigeria.

The EP brings together Afrobeats, Afro-fusion, and street rhythms with the help of featured artists Papichino, Diamant-B, and Cyrus Tha Virus, creating a sound that feels both global and very personal.

The project opens with Ancestors, a track that sets a strong tone of reflection and pride. With its calm, soulful beat, the song feels like a quiet conversation with the past. It honours his roots, recognises the people who walked before him, and reminds listeners that knowing where you come from gives power. Even a young listener can understand the message; it’s about identity, guidance, and the courage to trust your own story.

Love, Sweetness, and Street Charm

While Dutty O’Clock holds spiritual and street themes, it also makes space for softer moments, especially on the fan-favourite “Gimme Some Love.” This track brings romance into the EP with lyrics that feel playful, sweet, and easy for anyone to connect with. The lines:

“Only thing I want is your love, gimme some love, gimme some love, love,” show a simple desire, to feel wanted and cared for. It’s the kind of honesty that feels fresh in Afrobeats, especially combined with Biza Blingza’s smooth delivery. The song gets even more fun when he says: “This your ileke make me dey blow savings, body sweet like shawarma I’m craving, oya carry me commot.”

Biza Blingza

In just a few words, he paints a clear picture. He’s so drawn to this girl that even her waist beads (“ileke”) make him forget his budget. Comparing her sweetness to shawarma makes the moment playful and relatable, especially for teenagers who understand cravings and excitement. “Gimme Some Love” fits perfectly into the EP because it balances the harder, street-inspired tracks with something emotional and bright, showing that Biza Blingza is not afraid to explore every side of himself.

A Celebration of Growth and Identity

The EP is also shaped by some of Biza Blingza’s biggest influences: 50 Cent, G-Unit, and Cyrus Tha Virus. You can hear the confidence and street flavour from these artists in his voice and his flow. But Biza Blingza doesn’t try to sound like anyone. Instead, he mixes their energy with Edo rhythms, UK influence, and Afrobeats to create something original. His music carries experience, pain, strength, and joy all at once, making Dutty O’Clock feel like a full story instead of just a collection of songs.

Before this EP, Biza Blingza had already gained attention with tracks like Edo Boys, Area Boy, Dboi, Dutty World, Big Boys, and the atmospheric single Ancestors, which leads this new project. Each release has shown a different side of him, but Dutty O’Clock is the first time all the pieces truly come together: his background, his confidence, his sound, and his message.

Overall, Dutty O’Clock is a bold and emotional Afrobeats project that celebrates where Biza Blingza comes from, what he has survived, and who he is becoming. With songs that talk about culture, love, faith, power, and street hustle, the EP feels real and relatable, something both teenagers and adults can enjoy and learn from. It marks a new level for Biza Blingza and proves that he is ready for bigger stages, louder speakers, and a global audience.

Released on February 10, 2026, the song arrives perfectly in time for Valentine’s season, offering fans a rhythm-filled experience that is both heartwarming and danceable. Known for blending Afrobeat, dancehall, and contemporary vibes, Hunnyboy proves yet again why he is fast becoming a key voice in Ghana’s music scene.

Real-Life Love Inspiration

“Ghetto Girl” is more than just a catchy tune, it’s a tribute to the people who stand by us when life gets tough.

Hunnyboy drew inspiration from a special partner who supported him during the early stages of his career when financial challenges made things difficult. This love and support inspired heartfelt lyrics like:

“Them no fit do what I do, my happiness depends on you” and “Forget big man things, I’m so in love with you, I don’t need no proof, many things I don’t need to do.”

These lines capture the essence of love that is genuine, unpretentious, and deeply appreciative.

The song encourages listeners to openly show their feelings because life is too short for games or misunderstandings. It’s a message that resonates universally, making it easy for anyone, even a 15-year-old, to connect emotionally.

A blend of Afrobeat Vibes

A key highlight of the track is the feature from Kelvyn Boy, whose silky voice adds a layer of smoothness and charm.

The collaboration blends seamlessly with Hunnyboy’s dynamic style, giving “Ghetto Girl” a polished yet relaxed Afrobeat feel.

The combination of their vocals makes it easy for listeners to sing along, dance, and feel the emotion behind the lyrics.

Musically, “Ghetto Girl” captures the infectious energy of Afrobeat. The upbeat tempo, lively percussion, and catchy melodies make it impossible to stay still.

Hunnyboy

From Accra to London, audiences are increasingly drawn to Afrobeat tracks that not only make people dance but also carry meaningful messages.

Hunnyboy’s latest release fits perfectly into this global movement, offering a song that is both fun and meaningful.

Hunnyboy has steadily built a reputation for producing music that uplifts, motivates, and entertains. His previous singles like “Trust the Process” and “Ay3”, as well as collaborations with other Ghanaian artists such as Ashell and Shatta Wale, have helped solidify his place in the industry.

“Ghetto Girl” continues this trend, showcasing his versatility and ability to create tracks that resonate with both local and international audiences.

A Perfect Valentine’s Anthem

With its heartfelt lyrics, smooth collaborations, and irresistible Afrobeat rhythms, “Ghetto Girl” is a song that celebrates love in all its forms. It is perfect for anyone wanting to show appreciation for a partner or to simply enjoy music that makes the heart and feet move together.

Cameroonian-Italian artist VKY Emotion 237 steps forward again with his energetic new EP OUTSIDE, a project that mixes Afropop, trap, pop rap, and street lifestyle music into one exciting listening experience.

OUTSIDE: VKY Emotion 237’s Late-Night Hustle Anthem

Released on January 23, 2026, the EP feels like music made for young people chasing dreams, hanging out with friends, and trying to succeed even when life feels difficult.

For someone as young as a teenager trying to understand life, OUTSIDE sounds like a real conversation about growing up. It talks about friendship, ambition, pressure from society, and the strong desire to make something meaningful out of life.

The project was created quickly, but the emotions inside it feel real and carefully expressed. Every beat carries movement, while the lyrics explain what it feels like to work hard while people watch, judge, or even feel jealous.

Late Nights, Big Dreams, and Real-Life Moments

One of the strongest feelings in OUTSIDE comes from its picture of nightlife and ambition. VKY Emotion 237 paints a clear image with lines like:

“2AM outside with boys, chilling on a G63 we ballin, we on top.”

This line is easy to understand. Imagine friends hanging out late at night after long days of struggle, celebrating small wins together. It is not just about cars or money. It represents progress — moving from hardship toward success.

The artist also speaks about envy and competition, something many young people face today, especially on social media. He says:

“No hate just love, why them niggas all envy, while I tryna make my money paid.”

Here, the message is simple: focus on growth instead of comparing yourself to others. While some people watch and wish for fame, he chooses hard work and consistency.

VKY Emotion 237

Music About Hustle and Self-Belief

A major theme across the EP is determination. VKY Emotion 237 explains how success does not come easily. Lines such as:

“Double risk I swear everyday.”

show that chasing dreams often means taking chances. Whether it is moving to another country, starting music, or believing in yourself when nobody else does, risk becomes part of the journey.

For a young listener, this message feels encouraging. The artist reminds listeners that people may doubt you, but your future depends on your own effort and belief.

The overall message behind OUTSIDE can be understood clearly: never allow outside opinions to control your life. Everyone has a unique path, and success comes from staying original.

VKY Emotion 237’s journey adds deeper meaning to the project. Born in Cameroon and later moving to Italy to pursue music, his story reflects courage and ambition. Starting music at a young age, he transformed personal struggles into creative expression.

That background explains why OUTSIDE feels honest. The EP is not just entertainment; it represents survival, growth, and hope.

The sound production plays an important role in making the EP enjoyable. From the opening moments, strong drum patterns and lively beats immediately create excitement. The music feels suitable for car rides, parties, gym sessions, or simply boosting confidence during difficult days.

Produced with contributions from Matteo Ianna Relli and Kolemusicit, the sound blends African rhythm with modern European trap influence. This combination gives OUTSIDE an international feel while still keeping its Afro identity strong.

The beats move fast enough for celebration but calm enough to let listeners understand the story behind each lyric.

Nigerian singer BoyTY has just released a sweet Afrobeat love song you’ll want on repeat, and he calls this heartfelt track “Mera.”

BoyTY returns with a heartfelt single titled “Mera,” released on January 30, 2026. This new Afrobeat love song shows his soft side and proves once again that he is serious about making music that talks about real feelings.

Mera: BoyTY delivers A Pure Afrobeat Love Vibe

If you enjoy Nigerian love songs that are simple, sweet, and easy to understand, then Mera is one track you should not ignore.

Right from the first line, the song feels warm and caring. When he sings, “Oh my baby sugar, after you no other,” it is clear that this is a man who has made up his mind. He is not confused. He is not playing games. He is saying there is only one girl for him. That direct message makes the song easy to connect with, even for a young listener.

What “Mera” Is Really About

The word Mera can mean “mine,” and the song focuses on someone trying to win a girl’s heart gently. Instead of forcing love, BoyTY sings with patience and reassurance. Lines like “Ma da mi o, eleyele ma pami o” express deep affection and emotional closeness.

Even if some phrases are in a mix of local language and street slang, the feeling behind them is clear, he does not want to lose this special person.

Another catchy line, “So ma bami dele, sweet banana money dey,” adds a playful and confident tone. He is basically saying, “Come closer, I am ready, I have something good to offer.” It is not just about money. It is about stability and being ready to take care of someone you love.

The chorus also includes “Bcos na you dey do me One tara mera.” This line shows how deeply he feels. She makes his heart beat differently. She stands out. She is the only one who gives him that special spark.

Pure Love Story, Strong Emotions

One beautiful thing about Mera is how simple the lyrics are. You do not need to think too hard to understand the message. BoyTY allowed the beat to guide him, and you can feel that natural flow throughout the song. Nothing sounds forced. It feels like a real conversation between a boy and the girl he truly likes.

This honesty is part of what makes BoyTY stand out in the Nigerian Afrobeat scene. Like fellow Nigerian stars Wizkid and Lojay, BoyTY focuses on melody and emotion. However, he keeps his storytelling grounded and realistic. He sings about love in a way that feels possible in real life, not like a fairy tale.

BoyTY

Smooth and Catchy Sound

The production of Mera is smooth and balanced. The beat is mid-tempo, which makes it perfect for slow dancing or just vibing alone with your headphones. Every instrument blends nicely, giving the track a calm but rhythmic Afrobeat sound.

Interestingly, the song was recorded in BoyTY’s regular 9-to-5 office space. That detail makes the track even more inspiring. It shows that you do not need a fancy studio to create something beautiful. Creativity can happen anywhere.

The producer made sure the vocals sit perfectly on the beat. Nothing feels too loud or too quiet. The result is a clean Afro-pop track that sounds professional but still personal.

Mera is a sweet Afrobeat love song that highlights BoyTY’s strength as a songwriter. He does not try to use complicated words or over-the-top expressions. Instead, he keeps it real. That is what makes the song beautiful.

BoyTY continues to grow as a Nigerian Afrobeat artist, building his name step by step. If he keeps delivering honest love songs like Mera, he will surely gain more fans who appreciate music that feels true, warm, and relatable.

Nigerian Afro-Fusion artist Biggest Pee has released a powerful new single titled “Alhaji” on 2nd February 2026. This Afrobeats track brings strong rhythm, bold lyrics, and cultural flavor that make it stand out in today’s Nigerian music scene. If you enjoy Afrobeat, hip-hop, and meaningful storytelling, this song is one to add to your playlist.

“Alhaji” is not just a catchy word. In Nigeria, “Alhaji” is a title often given to a respected and wealthy man. In this song, Biggest Pee uses the word to tell a story about money, hustle, respect, and power. The track blends Afro-fusion sounds with modern Afrobeats production, creating something energetic but still thoughtful.

The Story Behind “Alhaji”

The creation of “Alhaji” happened naturally during a studio session in Abuja. Biggest Pee and his producer were simply working on beats when creativity flowed.

He began freestyling, and when the word “Alhaji” came out, he built the entire story around it. That freestyle moment turned into a full song filled with confidence and social commentary.

You can hear that raw energy in the opening line:

“Alhaji yo! Alhaji for here!! Pay me my money today Alhaji!!”

Right from the start, the song talks about payment, value, and respect. It feels like someone demanding what they deserve after putting in hard work.

Lyrics That Speak About Money and Power

One of the main themes of “Alhaji” is the relationship between money and power. Biggest Pee makes it clear that he is focused on success and financial growth. He raps:

“We have been into this game, I no be the Jesus, nor I be devil but I get many followers.”

This line simply means he does not see himself as perfect or evil, but he knows he has influence. People listen to him. He continues:

“I have been always chasing the bag, it’s all about the money or the verse.”

“Chasing the bag” means working hard to make money. For a 15-year-old listener, this is about ambition. It is about trying to succeed in whatever you do, whether it is music, school, or business.

However, he also adds an important message:

“No be everybody wey get money get power.”

This means not everyone who has money truly has influence or respect. It reminds listeners that money alone does not make someone powerful in character or impact.

When he mentions names like:

Adeleke… hunhun
Otedola… hunhun

He is referencing wealthy Nigerian families. This connects the song to real-life discussions about wealth and influence in society.

Who Is Biggest Pee?

Born Peter Patrick Abazie, Biggest Pee (also known as ObiAdaNa) comes from Imo State, with roots in Kaduna and Port Harcourt. His music reflects Nigeria’s diversity. You can hear northern and southern influences in his sound.

He started making music during secondary school, rapping in church under a group called Church Boys. That early love for rhythm shaped his journey.

His stage name comes from his initials “P.P.” in Peter Patrick. His music blends Afrobeat, hip-hop, and soul, which is why he is described as an Afro-Fusion artist.

You can hear inspiration from major artists like Burna Boy, Wizkid, Eminem, Runtown, and Fela in this track. From Burna Boy and Fela, there is that Afrobeat confidence and cultural pride.

From Wizkid and Runtown, you hear melody and smooth rhythm. From Eminem, you can sense the rap confidence and bold delivery.

But even with these influences, Biggest Pee still sounds like himself. His voice carries both street energy and thoughtful storytelling.

Ghanaian Afro-fusion artist Burzy NY released a powerful new single titled “Existential Crisis.” This song is not just for dancing or background noise.

It is a song that makes you stop, listen, and think. Burzy NY uses music to ask questions many people are afraid to ask out loud, especially young people who are still trying to understand life.

Existential Crisis: Burzy NY Dives Into Life and Self-Discovery

With influences from Michael Jackson, Kanye West, Sarkodie, and The Beatles, Burzy NY blends Afro-fusion and alternative sounds to create something emotional, calm, and honest.

Even though the topic is deep, the song is easy to understand, making it relatable for listeners of all ages, including a 15-year-old girl who may be wondering about her place in the world.

Music That Matches the Feeling

One of the strongest parts of Existential Crisis is its lyrics. The song feels like someone reading pages from their private journal. Burzy NY openly talks about confusion, fear, and the pressure of existing in a world that never slows down. He sings:

“I’m always wondering, wondering, how?
Life is like a drumbeat”

This line shows how life keeps moving fast, even when you feel lost inside. He continues with questions many people quietly ask themselves:

“Who am I really? Where’s my place in the universe?
Do we really matter? Why can’t we live forever?”

These words are simple but powerful. They show a young man searching for meaning, identity, and purpose. Later in the song, the emotion becomes even heavier:

“Existential feeler gripping my soul
Why are we here? I don’t know
So many questions; I’m losing control”

These lyrics clearly describe what it feels like to be overwhelmed by thoughts, especially during moments of sadness or depression.

Burzy NY

The production of Existential Crisis is calm, soft, and emotional. It does not try to be loud or flashy. Instead, it gives space for the lyrics to breathe. The beat feels slow and thoughtful, allowing listeners to focus on the message. The Afro-fusion sound connects the song to Burzy NY’s African roots, while the alternative style gives it a modern and global feel.

This balance makes the song feel honest and real, not forced. It sounds like Burzy NY is talking directly to the listener, not trying to impress anyone.

According to the official release, Existential Crisis was written during a very difficult time in Burzy NY’s life, when he was dealing with depression and inner struggles. Instead of hiding his pain, he turned it into music. This is important, especially in places where mental health is not often talked about.

The song encourages people to be more understanding and caring. It reminds listeners to check on friends, notice changes in behavior, and create safe spaces where people can talk about how they feel without being judged.

Burzy NY: An Artist With Purpose

Burzy NY is a Ghanaian artist known for making music that connects emotion, faith, and real life. His songs reflect the experiences of young people trying to find themselves in a changing world. He does not give easy answers, but he asks honest questions.

His style moves between Afro-fusion, alternative soul, and conscious Afrobeats, making his music thoughtful and meaningful. With Existential Crisis, Burzy NY proves that music can be more than entertainment, it can be healing.

JFT has released a new single, Touch. The sound blends Afro-fusion, Afrobeats, and reggaeton, making it easy to listen to and hard to forget.

JFT continued to make his effort noticeable on “Touch,” released on January 30th, 2026, and it is a song that feels soft, slow, and deeply emotional. Instead of loud beats or fast singing, Touch takes its time.

The song is about attraction, liking someone so much that even a small moment feels powerful.

JFT Tells a Calm Love Story on Afro-Fusion Single “Touch”

It explains the feeling of wanting someone but choosing not to rush into things, allowing emotions to grow naturally.

JFT draws inspiration from artists like Chronixx, Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, Burna Boy, Victony, Rema, Lauryn Hill, Rod Wave, and Wizkid. These influences are evident in the song’s relaxed confidence. Like Wizkid and Burna Boy, JFT knows how to make calm music feel powerful.

Like Chronixx and Popcaan, there is a reggae and Caribbean touch that adds warmth. The emotional depth found in Lauryn Hill and Rod Wave also appears in the honest delivery of the lyrics.

The lyrics of Touch focus on how one girl makes the singer feel overwhelmed in a good way. Lines like:

“She burst my head, I see this light girl”
“Girl you dey drive me loco better”
“You dey burst my medulla, you dey burst my cellular”

These words use playful expressions to describe intense attraction. Saying someone “bursts my head” means they are so special that they leave you speechless. When he sings:

“Never seen a fine girl like you, make you be my lady”

it becomes clear that this is admiration mixed with hope. The lyrics are simple and repeated, which makes them easy to remember and sing along to.

Sound, Rhythm, and Feel

Produced by Genius Lil Manna, Touch uses soft beats, gentle drums, and a looping hook that keeps playing in your head. The song does not change too fast. Instead, it slowly pulls you in, like a late-night conversation or a quiet dance moment. This style matches the theme of the song, wanting someone without rushing them.

The addition of Palas brings a Spanish verse that adds flavor without breaking the mood. The Latin touch blends smoothly with the Afrobeats sound, giving the song a global feel. This makes Touch easy to enjoy whether you are listening alone, with friends, or on repeat.

One interesting thing about Touch is that it was created almost five years ago but was allowed to grow naturally. JFT did not rush to release it. Instead, they waited until it felt complete. This patience shows in how balanced the song sounds. Nothing feels forced. Every part fits.

The track also sits comfortably next to global Afro-inspired hits like Rema’s “Calm Down”, sharing a relaxed tempo and smooth groove that makes you want to listen again and again.

Who Are JFT?

JFT is an Afro-Fusion duo formed by two friends who went to the same secondary school. Even though one member lives in London and the other in Ghana, distance has never stopped them. Through video calls and shared creativity, they continue to make music together. Their bond is built on friendship, faith, and trust, and that unity reflects in their sound.
