Following the passing of her baby’s father, Kiernan AKA Forbes, DJ Zinhle is not yet prepared to travel to Durban.

AKA was shot and died on February 10th, 2023 in Durban and meanwhile, Kairo Forbes was lovingly co-parented by the late star and the DJ.

The death of her ex-lover may cause Zinhle to cancel her performance at the Fact Durban Rocks festival in Durban in July, as she believes she is not emotionally prepared to travel there.

The DJ’s collaborative performance come days after she admitted she was “not ready” to go back to Durban. This comes after the February murder of baby daddy AKA in the city.

Although, Zinhle was scheduled to play in the region in July as part of the Fact Durban Rocks concert. She shared an eight-year-old daughter named Kairo Forbes with AKA.

She told the newsmen, “I cannot lie to you guys. I’m not ready for Durban. Emotionally, I’m not ready at all. I get a little anxious thinking about being in Durban. It’s going to be a while before I can be in Durban”

On Monday, May 8, musician Bongani Mohosana, better known online as Murdah Bongz, congratulated deceased rapper AKA on his significant Metro FM Music Awards (MMAs) victory.

Murdah Bongz, DJ Zinhle’s “husband,” posted a message on Instagram congratulating her “baby daddy,” rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, on his victory at the Metro FM Music Awards (MMAs). DJ Zinhle and Murdah Bongz have not yet been wed, but he paid a dowry for her. They address one another as “husband” and “wife,” respectively.

On February 10, the rapper was fatally murdered outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.
