West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus is set to make a sensational move across London, with Tottenham Hotspur agreeing a £55 million ($75m) deal for the Ghanaian international.

According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, both clubs have finalised terms, and Kudus is expected to undergo a medical on Thursday ahead of signing a six-year contract with the North London side.

The 24-year-old has been on Tottenham’s radar for some time, and the club have now acted decisively to secure his signature. Reports indicate that Premier League and Champions League victory bonuses were included in Kudus’ contract as part of the final agreement, helping to push the deal across the finish line.

While new Tottenham boss Thomas Frank is said to have had other targets in mind initially, he is understood to be pleased with the acquisition. Known for his preference for versatile players, Frank will benefit from Kudus’ ability to operate both on the flanks and in a central attacking midfield role.

Pending the completion of his medical, Kudus is expected to link up with the Spurs squad ahead of their first pre-season fixture, scheduled for July 19 against Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder has been sacked after his team’s dismal 1-1 draw with Volendam prolonged their losing streak.

Only a late equalizer from Ghanaian sensation Mohammed Kudus saved the Dutch giants from more humiliation as they have only won two games since November 1.

The Dutch champions’ home draw against a struggling Volendam team was the last straw for Schreuder, who has struggled since taking over for Erik ten Hag this season and has reportedly faced a revolt from his players in the dressing room.

Thursday’s draw was Schreuder’s sixth in the last nine games at the helm, and pressure had begun to mount on his shoulders with the fanbase growing increasingly impatient.

Immediately following the poor result in midweek, the club released a statement, which read: ‘Ajax has immediately suspended Alfred Schreuder. The trainer’s contract was valid until June 30, 2024, but will now be terminated immediately.
