    In its third consecutive year, Apple Music’s Chop Life campaign is marking the festive season with four exclusive guest playlists. Curated by notable figures in the music scene, including Afro-R&B-soul artist Mellissa, Afrobeats singer-songwriter Olivetheboy, Street Pop star Seyi Vibez from Ikorodu, and Afropop singer Nissi, each playlist is a handpicked selection of their favorite songs intended to serve as the soundtrack to their festive season.

    The term “Chop Life,” widely embraced across the African continent, encapsulates the idea of enjoying life and celebrating it to the fullest. Aligning with this philosophy, Apple Music’s dedicated ‘Chop Life‘ space aims to celebrate exceptional music and embrace the spirit of enjoyment.

    The space will feature a flagship playlist, unique artwork, DJ mixes, and carefully curated content suitable for various occasions—whether you’re relaxing at home, spending time at the beach, partying, or simply enjoying some downtime.

    Speaking on the playlist, Mellissa said:

    “I’m living in an era where anything is possible, where music from all corners of the world can thrive – and I’m living proof of it. I put together this playlist for the baddies out there, a soundtrack for a sexy, blissful holiday because, to me, Chop Life means having the best experiences.”

    Olivetheboy says he wants people to dance and forget their worries after enduring a stressful year.

    Street music star Seyi Vibez says chopping life to him means spending fun time with family and friends.

    “Life to me is about the people you have in it, people who sincerely love and want the best out of life for you. These songs make me feel good and want to have a great time. So, chopping life to me is a fun time with my family and friends.” – Seyi Vibez

    Nissi wants to create a playlist that offers the beautiful ambiance of the festive season.

    Nigerian  singer, songwriter, and performer, Bolaji Odojukan, popularly known as BOJ, is set to release a new album “Gbagada Express Vol 2” which would feature Odumodublvck, Ayra Starr, and many more artists.

    A follow-up to his studio album “Gbagada Express,” which at this stage in his career has made BOJ a household name throughout Nigeria and many other areas of the world, has been announced.

    His outstanding nine-year career span has seen him release projects and work on a variety of projects with such dexterity that only a select number of his contemporaries can match up to his outputs.

    The alternative singer will release Vol. 2 as his third studio album’s follow-up. After releasing “BOTM” and “Magic” in 2016 and 2017, respectively, the Alte singer launched his third studio album early in 2022.

    Wizkid, Davido, Mr. Eazi, Tiwa Savage, Buju, Fireboy DML, Amaarae, Victony, Darkovibes, Kofi Jamar, Prettyboy D-O, Fresh L, Teezee, Enny, Mellissa, Zamir, and Obongjayar were just a few of the hot names on the heavily star-studded “Gbagada Express,” which featured 16 melodic songs.

    The DRB Lasgidi member has announced that Vol. 2 of “Gbagada Express” would be released on June 2nd, 2023, after the release of two songs in 2023, ‘2 Bad‘ and ‘Line of Fire,’ both of which feature Ayra Starr.

    Odumodublvck, Ayra Starr, Tay Iwar, British rapper Knucks, and Ghanaian singer Mellissa are anticipated to be featured on the next project.

    Nigerian alternative music star Akitoye Balogun, better known as Ajebutter22, has revealed the tracklist and album art cover of his forthcoming album.

    Ajebutter22 has announced via his social media pages that his third studio album, titled “Soundtrack To The Good Life,” will be released on Friday, January 20, 2023.

    This will be the artist’s third album overall, following the releases of “Anytime Soon” in 2014 and “What Happens in Lagos” in 2017.

    On Tuesday, 18th November 2023 Ajebutter22 released the tracklist and cover art of his forthcoming third project ‘Soundtrack To The Good Life‘.

    As a lead-up to the album, Ahebutter22 already released the song “Enjoyment,” on which he collaborates with the talented duo Ajebo Hustlers.

    Ajebo Hustlers, Koromone, Ladipoe, Toby Shang, and Oxlade are among the alternative and afrobeats musicians slated to appear on the album.

    Ghanaian artists Kidi and Joey B are included on the album as well. Kida Kudz, Not3s, and Mellissa, three UK artists, will also contribute to the mix.

    The alternative singer will soon release a deluxe version of his third studio album as a follow-up.

    BOJ earlier in 2022 released his third studio album, “BOTM,” after the release of “Magic,” in 2016 and, earlier that year, “BOTM.”
