Despite the fact that his contract with the club expires in the summer, Chelsea midfielder Jorginho claims he is content at Stamford Bridge and would like to extend it. He insisted he is not currently considering his options.

Jorginho signed for Chelsea in 2018 as the first signing of then-Blues manager Maurizio Sarri, with the pair having previously worked together at Napoli.

Although Jorginho’s role as a deep-lying playmaker was closely scrutinized upon his move to England and Sarri only stayed at the club for one season, the midfielder has been able to modify his style and continue to play a crucial part at the club under a number of managers.

The 31-year-old was part of the Chelsea side that won the Champions League in 2021 and won the European Championship with Italy the same year, earning him a third-place finish in the race for the Ballon d’Or.

When asked if he would like to stay at Chelsea during an interview with TalkSPORT, Jorginho replied: “Of course I do, I love Chelsea. But this is a thing I’m not going to think about now.

“I need to think about winning games. Otherwise, it’s a problem. I’ll focus game by game and then we’ll see what’s going to happen.

“But my mind is on Chelsea now and trying to win as many games as possible.”

Jorginho will be free to talk to clubs outside of England about a pre-contractual agreement from January, meaning he could agree to join another club upon the expiry of his Chelsea contract. For the time being, though, it seems his focus is entirely on his current side.

Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri reveals Feyenoord fans threw ‘bags of p**s’ from the stands during their Europa League meeting on Thursday night, which hit the back of the bench and was ‘a little irritating’.

The Dutch side won the game 1-0 at their De Kuip stadium, which meant they progressed from the group stage, while Lazio only needed a point to do so, but are eliminated as a result of the loss.

Sarri and his team had a rough night, which was made worse by the Dutch fans throwing bodily fluids at him.

‘There were bags of p**s thrown from the stands down onto the back of the bench. It goes without saying, that is a little irritating,’ the former Chelsea boss told a press conference, via FootballItalia.net.

Sarri may have called the flying pee “a bit irritating,” but the referee was the one who, in Sarri’s opinion, cost Lazio their chance to advance to the Europa League.

‘I won’t even start on the referee,’ he said. ‘One player had at least seven or eight fouls from behind on our players, but in the end the only yellow cards were to my team.

‘As for their goal, there were two fouls in it, not one. It started with a foul on Matteo Cancellieri near my bench, then Patric was clearly pushed from behind at the goalkeeper.

‘We expected at the very least for the referee to view it again with VAR.’

Amazingly, all four teams in Group F finished with eight points. However, Feyenoord advances as group champions ahead of FC Midtjylland, while Lazio and Sturm Graz are unable to do so.

Legend of Arsenal Football Club, Thierry Henry, has sent a message to Chelsea’s forward player, Christian Pulisic, outlining how to join the first team of the Blues.

The American has struggled to make an impact for Chelsea under three different managers, including Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel, and he is now having trouble earning playing time under Graham Potter.

Since joining the Blues in the summer of the 2019–20 season under Maurizio Sarri, Pulisic has tallied just 19 goals and nine assists.

The Frenchman was speaking in the studio of CBS after the Blues trashed AC Milan their opponents in the UEFA Champions League.

According to Henry, it is about that time that Pulisic brings something to the table for the managers to see. He said:

At one point you’re gonna have to bring something on the table. How many managers are not going to trust you? It’s gonna have to be you at one point. So find a way.
