<h3>Nigerians love to dance and it&#8217;s in our DNA, so many Nigerian artists are aware.</h3>
<p>Therefore they&#8217;re constantly writing songs for the latest dance moves or for the more creative ones, artists inventing new dance moves for Nigerians to rock to and extend the life of their songs.</p>
<p>Various artists have introduced several dance techniques over the years, but only a few have gone viral and shook the dance floors.</p>
<figure id="attachment_719895" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-719895" style="width: 600px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-719895" src="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Top-10-Nigerian-dances-of-all-time-and-the-artists-that-created-them.jpeg" alt="Top 10 Nigerian dances of all time and the artists that created them" width="600" height="400" srcset="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Top-10-Nigerian-dances-of-all-time-and-the-artists-that-created-them.jpeg 600w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Top-10-Nigerian-dances-of-all-time-and-the-artists-that-created-them-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Top-10-Nigerian-dances-of-all-time-and-the-artists-that-created-them-550x367.jpeg 550w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Top-10-Nigerian-dances-of-all-time-and-the-artists-that-created-them-150x100.jpeg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-719895" class="wp-caption-text">Top 10 Nigerian dances of all time and the artists that created them</figcaption></figure>
<p>Some of these dance moves were not originated by Nigerian artists, but as soon as they hit our radios, we adopted them and made mad jamz out of them.</p>
<p><strong><a href="https://mp3bullet.ng/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mp3bullet</a></strong> has checked, and these are the top 10 Nigerian dances of all time.</p>
<p>Enjoy, share, and do not forget to dance.</p>
<p><span class="td_btn td_btn_lg td_round_btn"><b>Galala &#8211; Daddy Showkey</b></span></p>
<p>This dance step is associated with “the ghetto” or Ajegunle, Lagos, it originated from the pseudo-reggae sound made popular by artists like <strong>Ras Kimono, Blacky, Fada U-Turn,</strong> etc.</p>
<figure id="attachment_174447" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-174447" style="width: 300px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-174447" src="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/daddy_showkey-1.jpeg" alt="Top 10 Nigerian dances of all time and the artists that created them" width="300" height="300" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-174447" class="wp-caption-text">Daddy Showkey</figcaption></figure>
<p>However, Daddy Showkey will be most remembered as the instigator of the dance; it is as much a part of his identity as his long dreadlocks.</p>
<p><iframe title="SHOWKEY AGAIN Official Video by DADDY SHOWKEY" width="814" height="458" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/XsG6UTmcc4A?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p><span class="td_btn td_btn_lg td_round_btn"><b>Alanta &#8211; Artquake</b></span></p>
<p>This was a very unique but crazy dance movement originated by a group called “<strong>Artquake</strong>“.</p>
<figure id="attachment_719874" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-719874" style="width: 600px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-719874" src="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Artquake.jpeg" alt="Top 10 Nigerian dances of all time and the artists that created them" width="600" height="323" srcset="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Artquake.jpeg 600w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Artquake-300x162.jpeg 300w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Artquake-550x296.jpeg 550w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Artquake-150x81.jpeg 150w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-719874" class="wp-caption-text">Artquake</figcaption></figure>
<p>It involved a crazy movement of the arms and legs in an alternate manner and crazy facial expressions that were slightly debasing, beating an imaginary drum on the stomach.</p>
<p>Alanta could genuinely put you in a state of shock and dismay, <strong>Terry G</strong> also promoted this dance movement with his free madness series.</p>
<p><iframe title="ArtQuake - Certificate" width="814" height="458" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2JdGgIlY_ts?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe></p>
<p><span class="td_btn td_btn_lg td_round_btn"><b>Yahooze &#8211; Olu Maintain</b></span></p>
<p>Olu Maintain is to be thanked for this. The Kennis Music star released “Yahooze” in 2008 and created madness across the country.</p>
<figure id="attachment_245777" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-245777" style="width: 1080px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-245777" src="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Mp3bullet-TBT-Olu-Maintain-The-Maintain-Who-Broke-All-The-Rules.jpg" alt="Top 10 Nigerian dances of all time and the artists that created them" width="1080" height="1080" srcset="https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Mp3bullet-TBT-Olu-Maintain-The-Maintain-Who-Broke-All-The-Rules.jpg 1080w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Mp3bullet-TBT-Olu-Maintain-The-Maintain-Who-Broke-All-The-Rules-300x300.jpg 300w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Mp3bullet-TBT-Olu-Maintain-The-Maintain-Who-Broke-All-The-Rules-550x550.jpg 550w, https://mp3bullet.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/Mp3bullet-TBT-Olu-Maintain-The-Maintain-Who-Broke-All-The-Rules-595xh.jpg 595w" sizes="(max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-245777" class="wp-caption-text">Olu Maintain</figcaption></figure>
<p>It involved popping two figures in the air in the like manner of spraying imaginary money.</p>
<p>As usual, it started all simple, until Nigerians got crazier with it and developed its steps to various styles.</p>

<p>2006 was a defining moment in Nigerian music history. The sound of Nigerian music was becoming established by this time. In comparison to previous years, when international music dominated the airwaves, Nigerian songs began to receive more airplay on local radio.</p>
<p>Music quality improved significantly as artists gained access to better-recording equipment and studios</p>
<p>The establishment of the American Entertainment Station, MTV Base Africa in Nigeria the previous year also prompted the need for Nigerian acts to use music videos as promotional tools.</p>
<p>As MTV was available in most of Africa, the modern Nigerian pop scene began to receive international attention for the first time. These videos then spread across the continent, ushering in the Nigerian music scene as the dominant force in Africa that it is today!</p>
<p>This year also marked the dominance of two major record labels &#8211; Storm records and Mo’hits on the scene. The success of these labels created a record label boom within the industry in the subsequent years</p>

<p>The banging track had a special frenzy to it, as the song title already suggests. It sparked a particular craze, fueled by the song&#8217;s musical instrumentation as well as Faze&#8217;s uniquely superb vocals.</p>
<p>Independent is also the R&amp;B superstar&#8217;s best-selling album (in his career) and the biggest (most-sold) album of 2007. Faze was also a member of the now-disbanded <strong>Plantashun Boiz</strong> trio, which also included <strong>2face Idibia</strong> now known as <strong>2baba</strong> and <strong>Blackface</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>Zule Zoo</strong> was a music duo consisting of Ibrahim Alhassan and Mike from Benue state. Their biggest git was &#8216;Kerewa&#8221; which had a groovy and undulating beat that blinded people from the heavily sexual and controversial lyrics.</p>
<p>&#8220;<strong>Kerewa</strong>&#8221; in itself is a slang for s*xual intercourse and has two different theories over what the theme of the song is.</p>
<p>One school of thought sees the song from the perspective of a child reporting his mother&#8217;s adultery. Another school of thought believes what the child was in fact r*pe taking place.</p>
