Liya, who made history as the label’s first female signee in October 2020, officially parted ways with the record company in 2023. In a candid interview on Wahala with Josy Anne, she shared that her time at the label came with emotional challenges, including feelings of depression and burnout.

“Why did I leave? I just wanted more for myself—as a person and as an artist. It was sad, it was depressing, I was tired, I was sick, but it was a decision I had to make for my own well-being,” she explained.

She also addressed the public criticism she faced, noting that many misunderstood her circumstances and unfairly labeled her as lazy or unproductive.

“They called me names… people saying she’s lazy, she doesn’t know what she’s doing. They’re just pouring money on her, and she’s not doing anything,” Liya said.

The singer further revealed that the challenges affected her social media presence, leaving her unable to manage her Instagram account personally for over two years.

During this time, her manager handled posts on her behalf—a support she deeply appreciated.

“He was tired, but I’m so glad he understood. He never pushed me or forced me,” she reflected, acknowledging the patience and care that helped her navigate a difficult period in her career.

DJ Ecool is International DJ, host, and promoter who became known as Davido’s official DJ.

He’s held residencies at Arif Lounge and Queens, he’s worked with the likes of Wizkid, Doug E. Fresh, Sound Sultan, and Ludacris.

Idowest

Idowest whose real name is Adekunle Idowu is a Nigerian rapper and songwriter born on November 2, 1992, in Lagos State.

He was raised in Lagos Island where he became part of the local music gang known as MAFIA Gang. Idowest is a versatile artist that can flow on any beat.

His music genres range from Hip hop, R&B, and House music. In his artistic career, he works under the label of Davido Music Worldwide.
