The 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards which was held last night saw some of the biggest stars in hip hop honoured with awards.

Among the big winners were Tyler, the Creator, who was honoured with the inaugural Cultural Influence Award, also won Hip Hop Album of the Year.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion took home three awards for “WAP.” Followed closely by Lil Baby who won two awards, including Artist of the Year.

Yung Bleu was named Best New Hip Hop Artist, and J. Cole was named Lyricist of the Year.

The show featured performances from Baby Keem, Isaiah Rashad, Young Thug, and more.

Recall the Mp3bullet.ng reported that The rapper was nominated for a BET Hip-hop award in 2021 last week.

He was nominated in the category of “Best International Flow,” alongside Nasty C, Gazo, Xama, Laylow, Dave, and Little Simz.

Ladipoe shared the good news with his fans and followers, revealing that this is his first international award nomination since his debut in 2018.

He went on to say that he is honoured to represent Nigeria and can’t wait to “replace old narratives with new ones.”

He wrote;

“NOMINATED FOR A BET AWARD! My first international nomination! Representing my country ????????????????! Replacing old narratives with new ones! And the year is not even over yet”

With nine nominations each, Cardi B, Lil Durk, and Megan Thee Stallion lead the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards nominees. With eight nods, Drake is in the second position.

With four nominations each, Tyler, the Creator and Metro Boomin tie for third place.

They’re followed by 21 Savage, DJ Khaled, J. Cole, and Pooh Shiesty, who each received three nods, as well as Bia, Chris Brown, Doja Cat, Jay Z, Lil Nas X, Migos, Nicki Minaj, Roddy Ricch, Saweetie, Young Thug, and Yung Bleu, who each received two nods.

The only group or pair with two more nominations is Migos.

Cardi B, Drake, J. Cole, Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion and Tyler, the Creator are the nominees for hip hop artist of the year.

The 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards will hold at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on Friday, Oct. 1 and will premiere on BET on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The show will simulcast internationally on BET Africa on Wednesday, October 6 AT 3 AM CAT.

The BET Hip Hop Awards are an annual awards show, airing on BET, showcasing hip hop performers, producers and music video directors.

The Nigerian creative and prolific rapper LadiPoe Eso, professionally known as Ladipoe has achieved his first nomination in the Black Entertainment Television network (BET) Award to celebrate African, Americans in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.

On September 9th, 2021, the BET Best Hip-Hop Awards nominations were officially confirmed, and the prolific rapper was included.

The mavin rapper Ladipoe was put alongside some international artists with the likes of  Nasty C (South Africa), Xamã (Brazil), Laylow (France), Gazo (France), Little Simz (UK), and Dave (UK). They are all nominated for the Best International Flow award.

Recall, Mp3bullet.ng revealed that Ladipoe was among the top Nigerian music videos dominating Tv airplay.

The BET Awards are set to air on October 5th, but the event will be filmed four days earlier at the Cobb Energy Center in Atlanta.
