The nominations for the 2023 award ceremony have been announced by the Ghana Music Awards UK organizers. The nominees’ gala night for the 2023 Ghana Music Awards UK took place at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra on Friday, August 4, 2023.

The event hosted by KMJ saw top-tier industry players present on the night including performances by FBS and Perez Musik

Sarkodie, Black Sherif, and Stonebwoy are just a few of the well-known performers to receive many nominations in a range of categories, including Best Male Artist, Best Highlife Artist, Best Afrobeats Artist, Best Song of the Year, Artiste Of The Year, and others.

Ghanaian musician Kwabena Kwabena has revealed the reason behind his inability to attend Sunday church services regularly like every Christian.

Despite missing church for a year, the musician stated that he had a personal relationship with God and holds his message dear to his heart.

He said:

“There is a branch in my neighbourhood but I am busy almost every Sunday with things related to music….. God knows my heart”

In an interview on Mahyease TV Show, he discloses that he is a member of the church of Pentecost

He said:

“I was born into the Apostolic church, along the way, I switched to Pentecost church… I can attend of these churches. I fellowship at the Pentecost New Achimota Worship centre. It has been a long time I attended service. The truth is that I have over into a new neighbourhood.”

He also reveals that his 2017 hit tune “Bue Kwan” which featured Steven Bedi was a direct message from God to him.

Basketmouth made the revelation by posting a photo of himself on a circular table with 2Baba and Blaqbonez.

The song which is titled “Trouble” is set to be released on the 11th of this month.

The renowned comedian is currently working on his sophomore album, which will feature Buju, Falz, Blaqbonez, 2Baba, Kwabena Kwabena, and a few other artists.

“Yabasi,” his debut album, was a good effort that drew praise from artists such as Seun Kuti.

In addition to stand-up comedy, the comic has developed other skills.

In the popular Nigerian sitcom “Flatmates,” he is known as “Frank.” Later, he launched “Papa Benji,” a two-season comedy special that also features other comedians.

One of his recent productions, “Ghana Jollof” will now be available on cable.

There’s no denying that the Nigerian performer is a veritable treasure trove of abilities.

Basketmouth’s new single comes after his collaboration with Buju titled “Your Body” which was produced by his in-house producer, Duktor Sett.

Recall that Mp3bullet.ng reported that the comedian had revealed the title of his forthcoming second studio album as “Horoscopes”, to which the first track, “Ghana Jollof”, starring Falz and Kwabena Kwabena, has already been released.

He also recently announced his recent deal with Empire, a US-based management company.

The Nigerian comedian and musician Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth has revealed when he will be dropping the video for his collaboration with Buju titled  “Your Body”.

He shared the teaser via his Instagram page on Tuesday, the 12th of October 2021.

The music star discloses to his fans that the video will be unveiled on Thursday 14th of October 2021.

Recall, Mp3bullet.ng reported that Basketmouth has told fans that he will be dropping his second studio album, following the spectacular success of his debut, “Yabasi”, which was released last year.

The comedian has proven to have a vast knowledge of music as proven by his “Yabasi” album which features the best artists in the country.

On this album project, he features the likes of, Duncan Mighty, Ice Prince, Oxlade, Show Dem Camp, Waje, Ladipoe, Flash, BOJ, Chike, Zoro, Play, Umu Obiligbo, Ceeza Milli, Flavour, Phyno, The Cavemen, Bez, Dice Ailes, Peruzzi & Ill Bliss.

“Your Body”, featuring Buju, is a song from his upcoming second album, and the video teaser looks interesting. This is coming after the Falz and Kwabena Kwabena assisted “Ghana Jollof”.

“Your Body” is the album’s second single.

The Nigerian Comedian and musician Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth dropped a teaser of his new collaboration with veteran, 2baba, and rapper Blaqbonez ahead of his new album. He dropped the teaser on his Instagram page.

Basketmouth revealed his plan for his new album when he was in a bounce interview with Ebuka last month. He also made revelations concerning a new special he has been working on.
