The singer confirmed that the new album will arrive on October 16, 2026, giving fans their first full look at what he has been preparing for his next chapter.

Translating to “The Hand of God,” the title immediately sets the spiritual tone of the song, with Kizz Daniel reflecting on God’s blessings and guidance while encouraging listeners to remain thankful and careful as they navigate life.

Produced by Krizbeatz, ‘Owo Oluwa’ blends smooth Afrobeats rhythms with uplifting melodies, giving the song an inspirational feel without losing its commercial appeal. Kizz Daniel leads the record with vibrant vocals, while Young Jonn adds his melodic touch, and Wave Choir brings a communal quality that strengthens the praise-filled atmosphere.

The song also carries some history with fans. Snippets of ‘Owo Oluwa’ began making the rounds on TikTok and Facebook around May and June, allowing the track to build anticipation long before its official release.

Musically, Kizz Daniel keeps things lively with groovy percussion, layered melodies and dance-friendly instrumentation, creating enough energy for the record to work beyond a strictly gospel setting.

The release follows his June collaboration with Naira Marley on ‘Ijoba’ and adds another dimension to his recent run of music. It also reunites Kizz Daniel with Young Jonn, with the pair having shared a creative relationship across earlier records.

Since breaking out with ‘Woju’ in 2014, Kizz Daniel has steadily built a catalogue that allows him to move between romantic, celebratory, and inspirational themes. With ‘Owo Oluwa,’ he taps into that versatility once again, delivering a faith-driven record that had already found an audience before its official arrival.

The track is a dynamic fusion of Afrobeats and hip-hop-inspired elements, showcasing Krizbeatz’s signature knack for innovation and groove.

Produced by Krizbeatz himself, “Wicked Jazz” is a sonic masterpiece that merges bouncy beats, soulful brass sections, and rhythmic percussions. The production highlights his ability to stay rooted in Afrocentric sounds while exploring new creative territories.

The song’s lively instrumentation is both infectious and sophisticated, making it a standout addition to his growing catalog of hits.

At its core, ‘Wicked Jazz‘ narrates the tale of a captivating woman whose charm leaves the artists spellbound. Darkoo opens the track with her smooth and melodic delivery, infusing it with an emotional and sultry vibe that draws listeners in. Her verses vividly portray the enthralling allure of the mysterious muse.

Ajebo Hustlers follow up with their signature street-smart lyricism and energetic flows, providing a contrasting dynamic that complements Darkoo’s softer tones.

Their playful yet heartfelt verses add depth to the narrative, making the song a true collaboration of diverse artistic flavors.

Lyrically, ‘Wicked Jazz‘ delves into themes of infatuation, surrender, and the unpredictable nature of attraction. The artists describe being mesmerized by the woman’s irresistible charm, helplessly falling for her despite her enigmatic, almost “wicked” appeal.

The metaphorical use of “jazz” in the title reflects the smooth yet unpredictable nature of love and passion, capturing the emotional highs and lows experienced in the storyline.

With its catchy hook and vibrant rhythm, ‘Wicked Jazz‘ is primed to dominate airwaves and playlists. The track underscores Krizbeatz’s exceptional production talent while highlighting the versatility of his collaborators, Darkoo and Ajebo Hustlers. Their seamless adaptation to the song’s unique vibe speaks volumes about their artistry.

As Krizbeatz embarks on 2025, ‘Wicked Jazz‘ sets the tone for what promises to be another remarkable year. This genre-blending hit not only cements his reputation as one of Nigeria’s top producers but also teases an exciting chapter in his career. If this release is anything to go by, fans can expect even more groundbreaking projects from Krizbeatz and his collaborators in the months ahead.

• Artiste Name: Skales
• Project Title: Sweet Distractions
• Number of Tracks: Fourteen (14)
• Featuring: Imanse, Blaqbonez, Zlatan, Davido, Stonebwoy, Zoro, Krizbeatz
• Genre: Amapiano, Afrobeats, Afropop

Nigerian singer, Skales has released his long-anticipated studio body of work titled, ‘Sweet Distractions‘ (album).

Housing fourteen Afro tunes, the project features African music heavyweights, Davido, Stonebwoy, Zlatan, and so on.

The songs on Skales’s Sweet Distractions fit into three broad categories: revived rapper credentials; animated relationship travails; and the contemporary zest of South Africa’s amapiano.

Better known as a crooner, Skales beginnings as a rapper dictate proceedings on “As Always”, “Katapot” and on album opener “Hope, Freedom and Love”, on which he recounts his mother’s succumbing to a stroke, as well as career slights, drug use, relationship strife and money worries: “It still hurts, I hate the world so much man/Thank God I don’t own no nuke”.

Over woozy synths, emphatic kick drums and roving pianos, Skales finds good synergy “Pants on Fire” with fellow Nigerian artist Blaqbonez who, like himself, started out as a rapper, but later embraced the melodious advantage of his singing voice.

“Heart in a casket/I’m done with that love shit” sings Blaqbonez with steely resolve to repair a deep hurt. On more than one occasion, Skales proves to be a dab hand at amapiano.
