Michael Owusu Addo, also known as Sarkodie, has unveiled the official tracklist for his highly awaited album ‘Jamz.’

The two-time BET Hip Hop Award winner, who has long been one of the continent’s most reliable and in-demand rappers, builds on his history with strong projects.

Sarkodie is poised to release his seventh studio album, “Jamz,” as a follow-up to his last album, “No Pressure.”

The 10-track album, which features notable artists including BNXN, Lojay, Black Sherif, Kranium, Oxlade, Cina Soul, Ink Boy, King Promise, and Joeboy, is set to be released on Friday, November 11, 2022.

Some fans of the rapper, alias Sark Natives, and critics argue that signing to an international label, as some popular Ghanaian music acts have done in recent times, would expand his international audience and enrich his marketability

The Tema rap star thinks differently, however, and he gave a response in his new rap song called ‘Fraud [Man] In Suit’.

First, he gave the impression that record label deals often cheat the artists and take away from of their freedoms.

“There’s always going to be some fraud [man] in suit, trying to give you some money to stay mute. Always been part of the game, this is not new,” the Ghanaian music superstar spat [Hiphop term for rapping].

“How many be real owners? Just a few,” he highlighted the phenomenon of many artistes not owning their masters or having as much as they may portray to the public.

Michael Owusu Addo, alias Sarkodie, who has in the past featured on Forbes’ list of richest African musicians pointed to what is most important, in his view, for an artiste.

“Buy a beautiful house, trust the view,” he said and warned: “Don’t trust nobody, my [man], trust you. There’s nobody real in the game and that’s true.”

The label business is “a game, [man],” he stressed and noted making one’s own money gives them the power to avoid the label scams he earlier mentioned: “We have the money now so [forget] you.”

Mama Africa, Yemi Alade seems to have a lot in store for fans this year as she recently teased new music with Jamaican music star, Kranium.

Alade took to Twitter on the 10th of March to share a picture of her and Kranium sitting in what looks to be a bar.

From the photo it’s obvious, she was talking while the Jamaican star was listening to her.

Captioning the photo she revealed that the two of them are collaborating on a song which she revealed to be titled “My Man“.

In 2018, Phyno featured him on “One Chance“. Then he featured Tiwa Savage on the remix of “Gal Policy” in 2020 while DJ SPinall featured him on ‘Everytime” off his album, “Grace” that same year.

The talented afrobeat superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, American female rapper Megan Thee Stallion and some top musicians will headline the famous AfroNation festival in 2022.

AfroNation is an event dedicated to celebrating black achievement. It is Europe’s biggest urban music beach festival.

The event will take place on March 24–26, 2022 at the popular Balneario de Carolina beach in Puerto Rico. The music festival will showcase energetic performances across the three-day event.

Kizz Daniel is one of the most talented artists in the industry that has been tested and trusted, he had already stamped his name in the book after proving himself over the years.

He came into the industry with his smash single ‘Woju’ one of the biggest song of 2014, commercially diffused to a cultural moment, literally owning his game, did the remix in less than 6 months with Tiwa Savage & Davido that made his debut more memorable, serving hits back to back.

In 2016 he dropped his debut album ‘New Era’ with ‘Woju’ and Laye as lead singles, it then becomes one of the top 10 all-time debuts by a Nigerian artiste in history, Kizz Daniel apparently had a solid start hence the question, is Kizz Daniel underrated? Let’s find out

In maintaining the top spot in the industry, you have to balance the local and international, this is simply through features and/or by stretching of hand, all of these can be achieved even without changing sound, so that’s not an excuse, Kizz Daniel hasn’t been able to do any tangible UK/US Collaboration except Major Lazer’s joint with Kranium on “Loyal”

Does he have the range? Yes he’s vast enough and can blend to any international Collaboration style, take a small toll on his discography, you will see how he handles some songs with a different vibe, ‘Sin City’ was a Caribbean style, different from his usual sound but still he delivered, so why won’t he kill international features? Imagine a Skepta and kizz Daniel joint, Dave, J hus, Stormzy, Popcaan, or even a Koffee Collaboration?
