Nigerian renowned rapper Remilekun Safaru, popularly known as Reminisce, has announced that he will act in another movie that is scheduled for release this year.

The heavyweight rapper who played Makanaki in the hugely successful Nigerian film “King of Boys” was a fan favourite, and he’s not slowing down with his newly discovered art.

Speaking with famous media personality Ebuka Uchendu on Rubbin Minds, the rapper highlighted how difficult it was to pull off his character in “King of Boys” and its sequel, crediting director Kemi Adetiba for encouraging him when he felt like quitting.

Speaking further, Reminisce stated that he has started getting approached for movie roles.

However, he pays close attention to the film script, despite the fact that his fees can be quite costly.

He said:

I get approached a lot now for movies. But I make sure I bill appropriately, considering where I’m coming from as a musician. Beyond fees, I tend to also look at the script and see if it’s something I want to do,

The rapper also stated that his fans may expect to see him in another movie this year,

He said:

Apart from KOB, I did another that will be out this year. That one is centred around my person and name. I liked the script.

Vector played the character of Sal ‘Mr. Beats’ Gomes in the 2018 movie, “Lara and the Beats”. He played the roles of a driver and a music producer in the movie.

Nigerian Rapper, iLLBliss played the role of a gangster who goes by the name, Odogwu Malay in the 2018 political thriller film, “King Of Boys”. In an interview with Pulse, iLLBliss revealed that he had gotten over 16 scripts after his stint in the movie.

3. Reminisce ( King of boys)

Reminisce just like his counterpart, iLLBliss acted in “King of Boys” as a Gang lord named Makanaki. He revealed later that it took the movie director, Kemi Adetiba eight months to convince him to act in the movie.

2. Banky W (Sugar Rush, Wedding party, Up North)

Banky W is a versatile celebrity who sings, rap acts and also preaches. The singer made his acting debut in “Wedding Party” where he played a groom to his current wife, Adesua Etomi. He later went on to star in movies like Up North and Sugar Rush.

2. Falz‘ ease into acting was a result of short skits he released when he was just an upcoming artist. The Rapper/singer has no problem playing any role. He has starred in movies like Couple of Days, 10 Days in Sun City, Merry Men, Chief Daddy. But his role as Sege in popular comic series, “Jenifa’s Diary” has seen him break the record as the first Nigerian Artist to win an AMVCA.

The  Nigerian singer has been nominated for the “AMMA” awards under the “Best Actor in a Supporting Role” category.

Reminisce played the supporting role of “Makanaki” in Kemi Adetiba’s movie titled “King of boys”

He played a perfect role in the movie that he got fans thinking differently about him.

The movie “King of boys” was a very huge success. Another popular rapper; lllbliss also played a role in the movie.

Alongside the “Oja” singer, other Nigerian actors were also nominated. They include; veteran actor; Kanayo .O. Kanayo, and four others from the country.0
