Following a spectacular premiere in Ghana at the Airport View Hotel in Accra, the nominees for the Ghana Music Awards Europe 2023 have been announced.

The launch saw performances from veteran Gospel Artist Joyce Blessing, legendary Akousa Agyapong, and more.

Ghana’s music research hub, Remedi Entertainment, released the 2023’s Ghana Music Awards Europe nominees. All works nominated fall under the calendar year from January 1, 2022, to December 31, 2022.

The date for the awards will be announced shortly after a change in date, CEO Osaah Special said on Hitz103.9FM’s This Is Gospel.

The awards presentation was originally scheduled for May 6, 2023, however, a new date will soon be released.

The organizers of the  Ghana music awards have announced the full list of nominees ahead of the event scheduled to take place on the 29th of October 2022.

The complete list of nominees for the 2022 edition of the yearly Ghana Music Awards UK has finally been released.

On Friday, July 1, 2022, the announcement was made at a festive event hosted by well-known media figures Doreen Avio and Blaque Boy at the Omanye Hall, Labadi Beach Hotel.

Top performers from the entertainment industry attended the announcement party. The 2022 edition of the GMA UK happens to be the 6th edition. The main award will come off on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

Shatta Wale 

Dancehall singer, Shatta Wale is currently the second Ghanaian artist with the most YouTube subscribers. Being in the space of dishing out good music for over a decade, Shatta has 826 thousand subscribers.

Stonebwoy

This multi-award-winning Afropop, Dancehall sensation has 574 thousand YouTube followers.

Wrecking over 9 million streams on his Activate single featuring Davido, Stonebwoy has been a top-tier West African artist.

Sherif then solidified his stand in the music space with his delivery, ‘Kwaku The Traveler’, which became the most shazamed song upon arrival.

With 339 thousand YouTube subscribers, Black Sherif claims the 5th spot.

Fuse ODG

The Antenna Crooner has 277 thousand YouTube subscribers. Being a producer and a singer, Fuse has been in the game for a decade.

Amaarae

This youngster is popularly known for her 2021’s hit song, ‘Sad Girlz Luv Money’, which has spanned over 7 million streams on YouTube. Currently, Amaarae has 150 thousand YouTube subscribers.

R2Bees (Top 10 Ghanaian artists)

The popular music duos comprising two cousins, Faisal Hakeem (Paedae da Pralem/Omar Sterling) and Rashid Mugeez (Mugeez) have 142 thousand subscribers. The Hip-hop singers have dropped songs like ‘Slow Down‘, ‘Tonight, ‘Kiss Your Hand‘, and many more.

Kelvyn Boy – 114k

The 9th position on our list is Kelvyn Boy. The singer currently has 114 thousand YouTube subscribers.

Kwesi Arthur – 113k

Lastly on the top 10 Ghanaian artists with the most YouTube subscribers list is Kwesi Arthur. Starting off as a rapper, the singer gained stardom in 2017 with the hit single “Grind day” which received widespread acclaim and a co-sign from rap heavyweights Sarkodie and Medikal.

Currently, he has 113 thousand of YouTube subscribers.

Ghanaian Afrobeat singer Kelvyn Brown, better known by his stage name Kelvyn Boy, was recently spotted having a hearty chat with Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Wizkid.

For the longest time, many Ghanaians have compared Kelvyn Boy’s voice to Wizkid’s, claiming that the ‘Down Flat’ performer sounded so much like the Nigerian maestro that they hoped for a collaboration.

The collaboration between the two artists appears to be happening sooner rather than later, as the Ghanaian Afrobeat singer was spotted with the Nigerian Afrobeat star.

In a video shared, the two artists were seen having a lively chat, while Starboy seems casual in all-white with a green unbuttoned t-shirt to match his dark eyewear.

On the other hand, the Ghanian star completed his look with silky grey slacks, a white maxi t-shirt, and a squeaky clean white sneaker.

Ghanaian’s finest dancehall maestro Stonebwoy featured legendary Nigerian Afrobeat singer Davido in delivering this masterpiece.

Activation was one of the most anticipated songs in the latter part of 2020 and upon its delivery on December 4, it did not disappoint.

The video was directed by Yaw Skyface, produced and mastered by Mix Master Garzy.

Currently, it rakes about 3.66 million streams on the popular music streaming platform Audiomack.

This makes it number one in our list of Top 10 Ghana-Naija collaborations of 2020.

Sarkodie- Hasta La Vista ft Zlatan:

One of Africa’s finest and Ghana’s leading rapper Sarkodie teamed up with producer Rexxie and Zlatan to produce this hit banger.

The trio’s combination came as a shock and took people to their heels, with the perfect blend of reggae and dance hall.

With a career spanning 10 years at the top of his game, Sarkodie is undoubtedly a talented and consistent artist.

His deliveries are typically what everyone would expect them to be.

Officially released on November 27, it has about 1.6 million streams on Audiomack.

Kwesi Arthur- Baajo ft Joeboy:

Ghanaian fast-rising star, Kwesi Arthur teams up Nigerian-African fast-rising pop-star, Joeboy to deliver this African sound titled Baajo.

The 26-year old has attained international recognitions within the short period of time his fame actualized.

He became the second Ghanaian rapper to be nominated for BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher after Sarkodie’s nomination in 2019.

On December 4, 2020, the two young artists decided to round off the year with that hit banger.

Kuami Eugene- Dance Hard ft Zlatan:

The Award-winning Ghanaian singer Kuami Eugene served out this masterpiece record in which he dubbed “Dance Hard”, featuring Zlatan.

Produced by MOG Beatz, this song is a product of his latest project in which Kuami Eugene dubbed Son Of Africa.

The album houses 14 classic singles which got numbers of featuring from serial hitmakers across all Africa.

Zlatan being the featured top-notch singer did not fail to deliver his verse lyrically as he does it.

Taken from her album ‘Original Copy’, which was released on August 21st, the single got out few days before the album.

Stepping out of her comfort zone and into dancehall territories, Cuppy effortlessly takes ‘Karma’ to the bashment beat, exchanging verses with Stonebwoy, whose signature in the song reflected.

The song currently has a record of 677,000 streams in Audiomack.

Efya- The One ft Tiwa Savage:

This love song talks about you being the only one that can light up a girl’s life with love and affection.

Sarkodie- Over Load2 ft Oxlade:

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie and Nigeria fast-rising music act Oxlade delivered this great piece.

The initial Overload featured Ghana’s songstress Efya.

Harry Song- Apianko ft Stonebwoy:

Former Five Star Music act Harry Song teamed up with Ghana’s Stonebwoy in making this hit jam.
