Nigerian alternative music star Akitoye Balogun, better known as Ajebutter22, has revealed the tracklist and album art cover of his forthcoming album.

Ajebutter22 has announced via his social media pages that his third studio album, titled “Soundtrack To The Good Life,” will be released on Friday, January 20, 2023.

This will be the artist’s third album overall, following the releases of “Anytime Soon” in 2014 and “What Happens in Lagos” in 2017.

On Tuesday, 18th November 2023 Ajebutter22 released the tracklist and cover art of his forthcoming third project ‘Soundtrack To The Good Life‘.

Ajebo Hustlers, Koromone, Ladipoe, Toby Shang, and Oxlade are among the alternative and afrobeats musicians slated to appear on the album.

Their first collaboration with Nigeria’s very own Starboy came in 2013, on “Slow Down”, a single off their sophomore album Refuse to Be Broke. 

This song will go on to be the first link of a fruitful business partnership that, years later, will see them, alongside compatriot Efya, become Starboy Entertainment affiliates.

“Slow Down” is an evergreen Afro Pop song that moves at a gentle pace, playing to the vocal power of the trio of artists.

BOJ – Awolowo (feat. Kwesi Arthur, Darkovibes & Joey B) (2019)

‘Awolowo’ is a mid-tempo song that features lewd storytelling and generally, the depiction of a feel-good lifestyle, peculiar to today’s youth.

The featured artists take turns in delivering well-laced verses and BOJ assumes hook duties.

In less than a decade, Mr Eazi has risen to the top of the music food chain with his creative, genre-bending songs that gives him an edge over every Afrobeat artists.

Born Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, Mr Eazi is the creator of Banku music, a fusion of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and rhythms.
