Kossii brings a gentle yet confident energy, making the track perfect for late-night drives or slow dancefloor grooves. IDK is a love story wrapped in hesitation. The song reflects the emotional contradictions that arise from falling in love with someone who keeps you in suspense.

A part of the lyrics says, “I don’t know, don’t know what you want from me, anywhere you go, I follow.”; Kossii paints himself as a man caught between clarity and chaos, drawn irresistibly to a woman who has stolen his heart but remains a mystery. Another standout lyric: “You on my mind, I no go lie / the way” you moving is so divine”—reveals not only the depth of his feelings but also his awe for this muse’s presence and power.

Although the lyrics carry the majority of the emotional impact, the production maintains its prominence. Recorded at the acclaimed Qave Recording Studio, IDK thrives on clean arrangements and subtle Afrobeat flourishes. Kossii’s voice unifies everything. With a calm, unforced tone, he delivers each line like a personal message, allowing listeners to truly feel what he feels. The balance of softness and intent in his delivery is where his artistry shines.

Kossii Kossii is one to watch:

Kossii has demonstrated a thorough understanding of his craft. You can hear traces of Rema’s melodic charm, Wizkid’s smooth delivery, and Young Jonn’s genre-fluid flair. Kossii joins a growing group of Nigerian artists who are blurring the boundaries between Afrobeat, R&B, and global pop, yet his emotional honesty and lyrical clarity distinguish him.

Influenced by heavyweights like Burna Boy, Davido, Huloo, and Favi (with whom he’s previously collaborated), Kossii brings his unique voice to the mix, not trying to imitate but to contribute. His evolution from “Yung Kossi” to his current persona shows both growth and intention.

With IDK, Kossii doesn’t just release another Afrobeat track; he offers an experience that feels deeply personal yet universally relatable. It’s a gentle reminder that sometimes, not knowing exactly where you stand in love doesn’t make the feelings any less real.
