In an interview with media personality and podcaster, Adesope, Mr. P revealed that when he and his brother, Paul Okoye also known as Rudeboy started their career as the music group, P-square, their then manager, Howie T gave out their CD to a lady working in an agency.

The CD got stuck in the lady’s car forcing her to listen to their song anytime she was driving. This incident turned out in their favour as she fell in love with their song and would always invite them to perform in shows.

After every show, Mr. P  and his brother would go backstage to appreciate her for her invitation. This went on till four years later, their relationship with Howie went sour and both parties went their separate ways but Howie refused to release the Lady’s contact.

Peter in determination decided to look for her and after asking around was able to find her. He revealed that the lady in question was his wife, Lola.

He said that she stayed beside him even when he didn’t have anything and for this reason would always have her back no matter what anybody says.

#Throwback: Top 10 P-square songs that rocked the dance floor

Howie-T according to a family member died Saturday morning after battling with a debilitating stroke for over four years.

Howie T was the one who discovered and nurtured to recognition the music duo when he funded and released the group’s maiden album titled, “Last Nite” on his Timbuk2 record label in 2003.

Before becoming a label owner and show promoter, the Showbiz aficionado worked as a full-time disc jockey, entertaining fun lovers at ‘Enter the Dragon’, a hotspot located at Western House, Lagos, Sunrise nite club (Victoria island, Lagos), and Club Towers (Victoria Island, Lagos).

Taking to his Instagram page, Peter Okoye mourned the death of his old friend and colleague. He wrote:

” There are certain people in life that your story or journey is incomplete without, Howie T is one of such people. I honestly believed you’d pull through this time and I’m thankful I got to spend some time with you recently, reliving some of the early days and talking about what the future holds.

Thank you Howie for believing and being there for us. Thank you for your tremendous contribution to my career and the Nigerian entertainment industry. My family and I, our thoughts and prayers are with Tunrayo and the girls at this very difficult time. Good night big man. ????????
