Iconic rapper, Nas has shared the tracklist to the third instalment of his “King Disease” album franchise.

Nas has been on a roll over the last few years. Following the underwhelming release of the Ye-produced Nasir, Nas returned stronger than ever with Hit-Boy.

Due to their excellent connection, the two musicians collaborated on the first two episodes of King’s Disease as well as Magic, the album’s unexpected release in 2021.

King’s Disease III was formally confirmed to be coming by the two musicians in October. They soon revealed what appeared to be the project’s cover art, as well as a teaser using Dracula’s theme music.

As the release date draws near, the two artists shared details for the release of King’s Disease III, which is expected to drop on Friday.

On Wednesday, they revealed the official tracklist for the project, which apparently won’t contain a single feature. However, it seems possible that there might be some surprise features down the line.

The 16-song effort will also include a bonus track titled, “Til My Last Breath.”

Nas and Hit-Boy have had a lot of success with their collaborations. They were nominated for Best Rap Album in 2021 for King’s Disease, and they ultimately defeated Freddie Gibbs, D Smoke, Royce Da 5’9′′, and Jay Electronica to take the award home.

King’s Disease 2, their second release, received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics.

It goes without saying that Nas and Hit-Boy have a successful working relationship. Even after collaborating with some of the best producers in hip-hop, Nas still referred to Hit-Boy as Quincy Jones.

The 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards which was held last night saw some of the biggest stars in hip hop honoured with awards.

Among the big winners were Tyler, the Creator, who was honoured with the inaugural Cultural Influence Award, also won Hip Hop Album of the Year.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion took home three awards for “WAP.” Followed closely by Lil Baby who won two awards, including Artist of the Year.

Yung Bleu was named Best New Hip Hop Artist, and J. Cole was named Lyricist of the Year.

The show featured performances from Baby Keem, Isaiah Rashad, Young Thug, and more.

Shazam is an application that can identify music, movies, advertising, and television shows, based on a short sample played and using the microphone on the device.

It was created by London-based Shazam Entertainment and has been owned by Apple Inc. since 2018.

Wizkid

Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun popularly known as Wizkid rose to prominence in 2010 and attained global recognition in 2015.

He’s the most shazamed Afrobeats artist of all time with 41.6Million.

in 2020, Wizkid dropped his fourth studio (and second major label) album, It features guest appearances from British artists Skepta and Ella Mai, American R&B singer H.E.R., Jamaican artists Projexx and Damian Marley, and Nigerian artists Burna Boy, Tay Iwar, Terri, and Tems, the latter of whom features on the international-charting song “Essence”

Burna Boy

Another artist who made the list of most shazamed Afrobeats artists is Burna Boy.

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, rose to prominence in 2012 after his single “Like to Party”.

He’s the second most shazamed Afrobeats artiste of all time with a total 25.9Million.

Burna Boy released his fifth studio album  It was released on August 14, 2020, by Spaceship Entertainment, Atlantic Records, and Warner Music.

The Grammy award-winning album features guest appearances from Youssou N’Dour, Naughty by Nature, Sauti Sol, Chris Martin, and Stormzy.

Burna Boy also dropped his second single this year featuring Don Jazzy titled Question

Davido

David Adedeji Adeleke, also known as Davido, rose to prominence in 2012, after releasing “Dami Duro” a second single off his debut album.

Davido got international recognition in 2017, after releasing his successful single “Fall”

He’s the third most shazamed Afrobeats artiste of all time with a total of 19.6 Million.

In 2020, Davido dropped his third studio album titled A Better Time, it features Nicki Minaj, Nas, Young Thug, Mayorkun, Chris Brown, Tiwa Savage, Mugeez, CKAY, Lil Baby, Hit-Boy, Sho Madjozi, Bella Shmurda, and Sauti Sol.

Fuse ODG

Nana Richard Abiona was better known by his stage name Fuse ODG, is a British-Ghanaian recording artist.

He is best known for his singles “Antenna” and “Dangerous Love”, and for featuring on Major Lazer’s “Light It Up (Remix)”

He’s the fourth most shazamed Afrobeats artiste of all time with a total of 14.3Million

his breakout singles song peaked at number 30 on the UK Singles Chart and at number 38 on the Scottish Singles Chart. The song has also been charted in the Netherlands.

The song was written by Nana Richard Abiona and Tiffany Hayden.

Mr Eazi

Oluwatosin Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, a Nigerian singer and songwriter, rose to prominence and gained international recognition after dropping his single “Skintight” featuring Ghanaian star Efya.

He’s the fifth most shazamed Afrobeats artiste of all time with a total of 11.5Million

In January 2021, Mr. Eazi announced his upcoming EP titled Something Else, set for and released on 19 February.

Patoranking

Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie better known by his stage name Patoranking is a Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter.

Born and raised in Ijegun-Egba Satellite Town, Patoranking hails from Onicha, Ebonyi State.

He started his music career doing underground collaborations with artists such as XProject, Konga, Slam, and Reggie Rockstone.

He’s the sixth most shazamed Afrobeats artiste of all time with a total of 9.6Million

In 2020, Patoranking Released his commercially acclaimed hit song titled ‘Abule’ produced by Telz

Olamide

Olamide Gbenga Adedeji known professionally as Olamide (and also Olamide Baddo, BaddoSneh, or simply Baddo) is a Nigerian hip-hop recording artist.

He records in Yoruba and English.

He’s the 7th most shazamed Afrobeats artiste of all time with a total of 6.8Million

On June 18, 2021, Olamide released UY Scuti, the twelfth studio album, It follows his 2020 album Carpe Diem.

Rema

Divine Ikubor known professionally as Rema, is a Nigerian singer and rapper.

He rose to prominence with the release of the song “Iron Man”, which appeared on Barack Obama’s 2019 summer playlist.

In 2019, he signed a record deal with Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records.

He’s the 8th most shazamed Afrobeats artiste of all time with a total of 6.3Million.

Rema dropped what seems to be the single ‘Soundgasm’ off his forthcoming album titled Roses and Ravers

Joeboy

Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, known professionally as Joeboy, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.

Mr. Eazi of the record label “emPawa Africa” discovered him in 2017. His genre of music is that of Afro-pop and R&B.

He’s the 9th most shazamed Afrobeats artiste of all time with a total of 6.1Million.

Joeboy released his debut album early this year titled Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic with singles like run away

Omah Lay

Stanley Omah Didia better known as Omah Lay is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer.

He released his self-produced debut single “Do Not Disturb” in April 2019. He won the Next Rated award at the 2020 Headies Awards.

He’s the 10th most shazamed Afrobeats artiste of all time with a total of 6Million.

With nine nominations each, Cardi B, Lil Durk, and Megan Thee Stallion lead the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards nominees. With eight nods, Drake is in the second position.

With four nominations each, Tyler, the Creator and Metro Boomin tie for third place.

They’re followed by 21 Savage, DJ Khaled, J. Cole, and Pooh Shiesty, who each received three nods, as well as Bia, Chris Brown, Doja Cat, Jay Z, Lil Nas X, Migos, Nicki Minaj, Roddy Ricch, Saweetie, Young Thug, and Yung Bleu, who each received two nods.
