No one knew she was married because she had a private wedding in Malaysia with her European hubby Andrew Harvey.

D’banj

Dapo Oyebanjo and Lineo Didi Kilgrow discreetly wed on July 2, 2016, and the musician reportedly brought his father and 25 other guests to the registrar. The group assumed they had been invited to a birthday party and were surprised when it turned out to be the Registry wedding.

Nigerian rapper, Vector made headlines after news of him marrying his longtime girlfriend in a private ceremony surfaced.

Over the years, Phleez has worked with some of Nigeria’s best artists to produce some of the hottest tunes in the country.

He produced most of the standout tracks on that tape including the hit song Popping Again which featured Boj and Odunsi.

Alli Odunayo Better known as Telz is a Grammy-nominated producer. If you pay attention to the intro of some Nigerian songs, you must have heard the tag “Funkula”.

Many are guilty of referring to his producer’s tag as “Born Killer”, “Fun Killer” and “Porn Killer”. Telz started producing professionally in 2017.

He is responsible for the hottest tunes of 2020.

He Creatively came up with the beats for Patoranking’s Hit song “Abule”, “Do Me” and “Mon Bebe” Featuring Flavour.

On Burna Boy’s Twice as Tall album, he produced Wonderful, Onyeka, and Wetin Dey Sup.

Fresh VDM

First Off, he is an in-house producer for DMW records owned by Davido. It’s most likely that on some of Davido’s hit songs you must have heard the tag “Damn Fresh on the Beat or Fresh!!!!”.

Yes, those tunes were produced by Bello Emmanuel Adeshina professionally known as Fresh VDM (Very Disturbing Music). Do you know Fresh VDM is a Togolese-born Nigerian music producer who is fond of combining unusual sounds to come out with banging beats?

Aside from producing DMW records, he has worked with other artists like; Olamide, Burna Boy, Mr Eazi, Stefflon Don and YCee.

The truth is we called these tags from memory and that led to the realization as to how we have these Nigerian producer tags engrained into our minds unknowingly.

When I first heard Rema‘s “Bounce,” produced by Don Jazzy, I squinted a little at the opening adlib: “Na who do the beat? Jazzy! ” I recall that moment because, even after dozens of listens, I still get the same emotion.

Now that I think about it, my reaction wasn’t actually one of rejection; rather, it was one of sentimentality for the sake of nostalgia.

Mo’ Hits, the Don Jazzy-led crew who held Afropop in a chokehold at will every year, dominated my adolescent and early teen years when I was a kid in the early to mid-1990s.

There was an ever-present adlib during that run that will go down in Nigerian pop music history: “It’s Don Jazzy Again!”

Rema‘s adlib at the start of “Bounce” isn’t completely unfamiliar Wande Coal utilized it on “Taboo” but it didn’t feel powerful enough to declare a towering, era-defining super-producer to my old self.

“Yo Rexxie pon this one!” is a tag that has in a seemingly short while become a household name and has become the herald of a good time as it has been so introduced to us by Rexxie who makes eclectic-so street-hop inspired beats.

 OJB Jezreel

ID Cabasa is another veteran producer who took the Nigerian music industry by storm producing hit songs for 9ice and Lord of Ajasa.

8. Sarz ft Wizkid- Samba(2012)

After producing songs for artists, Sarz decided to produce his own personal song, Beat of life(Samba) and we thank God he did.

Samba did well when it was released as it was during that period the ‘Azonto’ dance was popular. Wizkid‘s popularity and his lyrics also contributed to its success, a fact Sarz himself acknowledged. Even now, you can’t hear Samba and not want to dance.

7. Wizkid ft Femi Kuti- Jaiye jaiye (2013)

In this song, Sarz proved that no matter the genre of song you want him to produce, he will murder it.

Sarz took Fela‘s slow afrobeat style and turned it into a danceable beat. Wizkid was joined by Femi Kuti who played the saxophone in the song.

6. Goldie- Don’t touch my body (2010)

Goldie (may her soul rest in peace) was considered the lady Gaga of Nigeria because of her eccentric way of life, she was an amazing singer who has the voice and the class to deliver any song. So it’s no surprise she was able to deliver on the Sarz produced track.

5. Wizkid ft Drake- Come closer (2017)

Wizkid featured American Rapper, Drake on ‘Come Closer’. The song is smooth and danceable at the same time and of course, Sarz proved he is nobody mate when it comes to producing Songs.

4. Niniola- Maradona (2017)

Though Maradona wasn’t the first song Sarz had produced for Niniola, the song was the breakthrough that Niniola needed to launch her career.

The song was so good that International DJ, DJ Snake did a remix of the song which he called ‘Maradona Riddim’ and Beyonce had to sample it on one of the songs from her “Lion King: The Gift” Soundtrack.

3. Niniola- Sicker (2017)

This song is proof that Niniola and Sarz are such a perfect combo. ‘Sicker’ was released after the massive success of Maradona in the market, even though it didn’t surpass the success of its predecessor, it was a hit in its own right.

2. Skepta ft Wizkid- Energy(Stay far away) (2018)

While Energy might not really be called a danceable song, you can’t still help but move whenever the song comes on.  Sarz proved he is capable of producing anything and you just can’t help but love it.

I have a feeling that Sarz picks the Artist he works with carefully, because how do you explain the magic he and Wurld performed in “I love girls with Trobul“, the EP they released together. ‘Mad‘ is one of the best songs from the EP, the song even got recognition from Cardi B and her husband, Offset.
