In 2019, in response to allegations that he had joined the APC, Femi Fani-Kayode stated it was demeaning to him and that anyone spreading such accusations should bury their heads in shame,

He added that he would sooner die than join a filthy, rat-infested sinking ship like the APC.

However, recently he defected to the same APC that he opposed, and Seun Kuti has criticized him for it, saying that a life without honour is meaningless, which implies Femi Fani-Kayode’s life is empty because of the political shifts he made.

According to Seun Kuti, when he declared Femi Fani-Kayode was nothing but a charlatan, his fans and followers practically went after him, even threatening his life, but today he’s the one laughing at them since his words have come true, as everyone can see.

Seun Kuti then requested all those who had dragged, cursed, threatened, or abused him because of what he said to come and apologise to him before the ancestors made their lives worse than Femi Fani- Kayode’s, who now has no honour because of his decision.

he wrote;

“Una eye never clear? I did a whole live dissecting these mans history. His fathers history. Their entire ideology and school of thought, did they listen? No. Instead as usual, they cursed abused and threatened me.

If you know u are one of those that did so please come and apologise now before the ancestors make ur life worse than that of your leader! A life without honor is EMPTY! #getthesax”

A Clip showing former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, lashing out at a journalist, Mr. Charles Eyo of the Daily Trust newspaper went viral and this caused an outrage on social media.

The Journalist during a press briefing with Fani-Kayode on his tour of South-south asked him who was bankrolling his tour causing Fani-Kayode to lash out at him.

While people blasted the former minister for acting out because of a question, Saxophonist and Musician, Seun Kuti is blaming another set of people, Nigerian Journalists.

According to him, Journalists are only reaping what they have let slide. He went to blast the journalists who were in the same room where the incident occurred but didn’t stand up for their colleagues.

He said they have given rich Africans too much power that is currently backfiring on them.

In his words;

“Shame shame shame shame shame on all Nigerian media professionals. Shame on u! Shame shame shame. All I heard was begging in the room. Begging then una come outside dey form intellectuals.

Shame shame shame shame shame shame shame. #getthesax. Africans don’t have a problem, it’s the hand picked Africans who have been able to secure their own comforts within oppression that are shameless. Completely!

Once more they let the people down then come outside to act like they are not ass kissers!! But when they want to write about celebs or the common man then they are professionals.

When police want to arrest common man he is a professional. When common man is denied loans he needs then the banker is a professional.EFCC is only professional around yahoo boys. Make una dey professional dey go ooooo.”
