After more than a decade away from major project releases, Tanzanian singer-songwriter Becka Ibrozama is stepping back into the spotlight with AURORA, a new EP scheduled for release on 21 August 2026.

AURORA: Becka Ibrozama’s Long-Awaited Return

More than a return to music, the project feels like an introduction to an artist that a new generation may have never had the chance to discover.

Becka’s earlier career took shape at a time when music discovery was very different. Before streaming platforms and social media became central to how artists reach audiences, talented musicians could build strong local followings without gaining the worldwide attention that is possible today. AURORA allows Becka to bridge that gap.

The EP arrives with the confidence of an experienced artist but also carries the feeling of someone opening a new chapter.

AURORA carries a message of renewal.

The title AURORA is a fitting choice for a project centred on starting again. An aurora brings light into a dark sky, and that idea mirrors Becka’s return after years away from releasing a major project.

Across the EP, themes of love, heartbreak, hope, faith, and resilience give the music an emotional centre. Rather than focusing on only one side of life, Becka explores different feelings and experiences, creating a project that reflects both difficult moments and the possibility of better days.

That sense of renewal may be the strongest quality of AURORA. It is not simply about returning to where Becka left off. The project suggests that he is coming back with a different view of himself, his music and the audience he wants to reach.

Bongo Flava meets modern R&B

Musically, AURORA brings together bongo flava, Afrobeat, Afropop, and contemporary R&B. The combination allows Becka to stay connected to the Tanzanian sound while giving the EP a modern feel.

The decision to sing mainly in Swahili is also important. Swahili gives the project a strong cultural identity and keeps Becka connected to the musical tradition that helped shape his career. At the same time, the production and songwriting aim beyond Tanzania, giving the EP the potential to connect with listeners across East Africa and other parts of the world.

For fans of Tanzanian music and Bongo Flava, AURORA should feel familiar in its roots. For listeners discovering Becka for the first time, the project offers an accessible way into his sound.

Becka Ibrozama

A mature voice with global influences

Becka Ibrozama’s musical influences include major international performers such as Chris Brown, Usher and Michael Jackson. Their influence can be understood in the importance placed on melody, emotion and performance, while Becka keeps his music tied to his Tanzanian background.

That balance is one of the most interesting parts of the project. AURORA does not need to leave its East African identity behind to reach a wider audience. Instead, Becka appears to use his cultural roots as part of what makes the project distinctive.

The result is a project that can speak to listeners who enjoy African pop while also appealing to people who connect with R&B-led songwriting and emotional music.

The biggest story surrounding AURORA is arguably Becka himself. Returning after more than 10 years without a major project creates a natural sense of curiosity. What has changed? What has remained the same? And how will an artist shaped by an earlier era fit into today’s fast-moving African music scene?

Rather than trying to compete with younger artists on their terms, Becka’s strongest advantage may be his experience. Years spent within the Tanzanian music scene give him a perspective that cannot simply be copied.

AURORA therefore feels less like an attempt to recreate the past and more like a chance to build something new from it.

Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer Simboroba is bringing a familiar question to life with his upcoming single, “Where the Money Dey.”

Set for release on 27 July 2026, the new Afrobeats song turns the daily search for money, better opportunities, and a brighter future into a lively musical statement.

Simboroba’s “Where the Money Dey” Brings Hustle to Afrobeats

At the heart of the record is a question many people know too well: “Where the money dey?” It is short, direct, and easy to remember, but it also says a lot about life. For many young people, the search for success is not only about getting rich.

It is about finding a way forward, helping family, reaching personal goals, and refusing to stop when things become difficult.

Simboroba uses that feeling as the main idea behind the song, giving “Where the Money Dey” a message that should connect with listeners who understand the pressure and hope that come with chasing a better life.

Simboroba keeps the message simple

One of the strengths of “Where the Money Dey” is the simple idea behind it. The song comes from the kind of everyday talk that happens when people discuss work, money, and opportunities. Instead of making the subject feel distant, Simboroba turns it into something musical and easy to relate to.

The repeated phrase “Where the money dey?” gives the record a strong centre. It is the sort of line that can quickly stick in the mind and become part of the song’s identity.

Rather than presenting success as something that comes without effort, Simboroba focuses on the hustle. The record speaks to people who keep working, keep planning, and keep believing even when the results are slow.

Musically, “Where the Money Dey” sits comfortably within the world of modern Afrobeats, while Simboroba’s wider sound also draws from Highlife and contemporary African music. This combination gives him room to make music that can be enjoyed for its rhythm while still carrying a clear message.

That balance is important. A song about ambition could easily become too serious, but Simboroba appears to understand that music can deliver a message without losing its fun. The energy of the record helps keep the subject light enough for everyday listening while the theme remains clear.

For listeners who enjoy Nigerian Afrobeats, Afrobeat music and African music with a message, the single has the ingredients of a record that can fit naturally into playlists built around motivation, hustle and good energy.

A song shaped by real life

Simboroba’s background also adds another layer to his music. Beyond being a recording artist, he works across several creative and professional fields, including music production, filmmaking, media and engineering.

That mix of interests shows in how he approaches his art, with creativity and everyday experiences feeding into his songs.

His previous releases, including “Baby Boo” and “We Don’t Tire,” have helped establish the direction of his growing catalogue. With “Where the Money Dey,” he turns his attention to one of the biggest subjects in everyday life: the desire to make progress.

The song’s appeal comes from how easy it is to understand. You do not need to be in the same place in life as Simboroba to understand the feeling behind it.

Anyone who has searched for a job, built a business, chased a dream, or hoped for better days can find something familiar in the record.

With the ceremony scheduled to be held in Canada in October, the race is shaping up to be an interesting one. FOLA currently has the numbers advantage, but with Wizkid, Omah Lay, Asake, Davido, and Mavo all competing across major categories, there is still plenty to play for before the winners are announced.

Nigerian artist AGADA returns with Veuve Clicquot, a smooth new single that brings together Afrobeats, Afro R&B, and hip-hop in a polished record about success, confidence, and enjoying the progress made along the way.

Released on August 18, 2026, and featuring rapper Psycho YP, the song feels like a celebration, but there is more behind its stylish sound than champagne and nightlife.

For AGADA, Veuve Clicquot represents how far he has travelled in his music career. The champagne becomes a symbol of achievement, giving the song a simple idea: when you work hard and finally reach an important point in your journey, you deserve to stop and appreciate how far you have come.

A Feel-Good Afrobeat Sound

One of the most interesting parts of Veuve Clicquot is that its story began more than 14 years ago. The idea first came from a live freestyle on Rhythm 93.7 FM in Lagos, where the late presenter Phoenix invited AGADA to perform over an instrumental without much preparation.

What started as a spontaneous radio moment eventually became a complete song years later. That long journey gives Veuve Clicquot an extra meaning because the record is not simply about a night out. It represents patience and the ability to hold on to an idea until the right time comes.

Musically, Veuve Clicquot is designed to feel good. The production combines smooth Afrobeat percussion with melodic sounds, R&B touches, and Hip-Hop elements.

AGADA does not make the record overly complicated. Instead, the different sounds work together to create something that feels comfortable for a night out, a drive, a party, or simply relaxing with friends.

Psycho YP’s appearance adds another layer to the record. His Hip-Hop delivery brings confidence and attitude while fitting naturally into AGADA’s melodic approach. The collaboration gives the song a nice balance between singing and rap.

The result is a record that can appeal to Afrobeats listeners while also reaching fans of Nigerian Hip-Hop and R&B.

A Musical Family Legacy

AGADA, whose real name is Chike Agada, comes from a strong Nigerian musical background. His father, Harry Mosco, was the lead guitarist and vocalist of the influential Nigerian band The Funkies.

That family connection gives AGADA a direct link to an earlier generation of Nigerian music. Harry Mosco’s work combined funk, rock, and African sounds, creating music that travelled beyond Nigeria.

AGADA carries that history with him, but he is clearly interested in creating his own identity. His music moves between Afrobeats, R&B, Hip-Hop, soul, and contemporary African sounds.

Rather than simply repeating his father’s style, he takes inspiration from that musical foundation and builds something more suited to today’s audience.

Despite the song’s expensive and polished feeling, AGADA recorded the vocals inside a closet at his home during Christmas in December 2025.

Influenced by the musical legacy of Harry Mosco, AGADA continues to build his own path. Veuve Clicquot is therefore not just about luxury; it is about recognising the difficult road behind every success and taking a moment to celebrate the journey.

Veteran Ghanaian musician Delips Apo returns with Romeo and Juliet, a new album that brings together Afro-pop, dancehall, Highlife, and modern African sounds.

Released on June 30, 2026, the project shows that music does not have to follow one period or one style. With decades of experience behind him, Delips Apo uses this album to connect his long musical history with the sound of today’s African music scene.

Romeo and Juliet: Delips Apo Brings Ghanaian Dancehall to a New Generation

At the centre of the project is Somemu Yie, a dance-focused song performed in Twi. The record carries a clear message about relationships and the importance of treating people well. Delips Apo reminds listeners that love should not be taken for granted because losing someone can sometimes be the result of not showing them enough care.

Love, Dance and Clear Message

Romeo and Juliet may have a famous love story as its title, but Delips Apo’s approach is much more direct. The album explores the everyday side of relationships, where love needs attention, respect, and effort.

Somemu Yie gives this message a lively setting. Instead of presenting relationship problems through a sad ballad, Delips Apo places the story over a dancehall-inspired rhythm. This makes the song enjoyable while still giving listeners something to think about.

The use of Twi is also important. It gives the song a strong Ghanaian identity and allows Delips Apo to communicate the message in a language that feels natural to him. At the same time, the danceable production gives the record wider appeal.

One of the biggest strengths of Delips Apo is his experience as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, producer, and singer. His musical journey began when he was just 16 years old, and he has since worked with more than 15 bands.

That experience is easy to understand when looking at how Somemu Yie was created. Delips Apo started with drums and bass before adding synthesiser sounds, organ parts, percussion, and other rhythms through the keyboard. This approach gives the song a full sound. Instead of relying on a single rhythm, different instruments work together to create movement. The result is music designed not only for headphones but also for dancing and live performances.

The standout idea behind Somemu Yie is simple: if you care about someone, show it before it is too late. Delips Apo turns that message into a danceable experience rather than a heavy lecture.

Delips Apo’s Identity

Delips Apo’s musical influences include the legendary Bob Marley, whose impact on reggae and dancehall continues to reach artists around the world. That influence fits naturally with Delips Apo’s interest in rhythm, messages, and music that connects with everyday life.

However, his sound goes far beyond reggae. His work combines African rhythms with Western sounds and draws from genres such as funk, soul, Latin music, Highlife, zouk, blues, pop, rock, reggae, and dancehall.

This wide musical background helps explain why Romeo and Juliet does not feel restricted to one genre. Delips Apo has spent years learning different sounds and bringing them together in his own way.

Delips Apo’s musical story stretches back several decades. Born in Kumasi, Ghana, he went on to perform in several African countries and was involved with various bands before forming his own groups.

One major moment came when he recorded his first album in London with Delips and the Godfathers. Released by CBS in the early 1980s, the project gained attention in both Europe and Africa.

His later album DADADY reached number one on the African charts at Stern’s Records, while his single I Can Feel the Groove also appeared on the UK charts. These achievements show that his connection with international audiences is not new. He has also performed with his band KUTASHI at packed venues in Freetown, Stockholm, and Copenhagen.

Another interesting part of Delips Apo’s career is his willingness to experiment. He has created his own styles, including Ritual Fusion and Afro-Afro, while continuing to explore different forms of African and global music.

UK-based Ghanaian artist Ohenemuzik returns with Brownie Girl, a sweet and relaxed love song that brings together the warmth of Ghanaian Highlife and the easy rhythm of modern Afrobeats.

Released on August 14, 2026, the single presents a softer side of the artist, focusing on attraction, love, beauty, and the simple joy of finding someone who feels special.

Brownie Girl: Ohenemuzik Brings Warm Highlife Romance to Afrobeats

Rather than making the song overly complicated, Ohenemuzik keeps the message clear. Brownie Girl is about admiring a woman and letting her know how much she means to him. The song moves at a comfortable pace, making it easy to listen to while also giving it enough rhythm for gentle dancing.

The Highlife Influence Is Clear

At the centre of Brownie Girl is a woman Ohenemuzik sees as more than just someone he finds attractive. He repeatedly refers to her as “Ohemaa,” a Twi word that means Queen. This choice gives the song a strong Ghanaian identity while also showing the respect and affection behind his words.

The use of both English and Twi helps the record feel natural. It also allows Ohenemuzik to connect his Ghanaian roots with the wider African and international audience that continues to enjoy Afrobeats and Highlife.

The song follows a simple romantic journey. It starts with attraction and gradually moves towards stronger feelings. There is no rush. Instead, Ohenemuzik allows the music to take its time, creating the feeling of someone enjoying the early stages of love.

One of the most enjoyable parts of Brownie Girl is the way Ohenemuzik keeps the spirit of Ghanaian Highlife alive while giving it a modern sound.

His musical influences include Ghanaian Highlife legends such as Paapa Yankson, C.K. Mann, Pat Thomas, Nana Fynn, and Kojo Antwi. Their influence can be felt in his love for melody, romance, storytelling, and relaxed musical arrangements.

At the same time, Ohenemuzik also draws inspiration from newer African voices such as Kofi Kinaata and Davido, creating a bridge between classic Ghanaian music and today’s Afrobeats sound.

This combination gives Brownie Girl a sound that can appeal to listeners who enjoy traditional Highlife as well as younger fans who prefer contemporary Afrobeat music.

Ohenemuzik

A Strong Addition to His Catalogue

Ohenemuzik has already built a name within the Ghanaian diaspora music scene through songs such as Say I Do, Hand of God, Wedding Day, Sunrise in Accra, and Mr. Osei, as well as the album Songs of Songs.

His previous achievements include recognition from the Ghana Music Awards UK, where he won UK-Based Songwriter of the Year for Say I Do and UK-Based Highlife Artist of the Year in 2023.

Brownie Girl continues that journey while showing another side of his songwriting. It is less about making noise and more about creating a warm feeling that listeners can carry with them.

Another interesting part of the release is the amount of work Ohenemuzik handled himself. He wrote, recorded, produced, and engineered Brownie Girl, giving him control over the song from its early idea to the final recording.

That hands-on approach is not surprising when looking at his background. Ohenemuzik studied Music at the University of Education, Winneba, where he developed skills in piano, music production, choral direction, and sound engineering.

His experience allows him to understand both the creative and technical sides of making music. On Brownie Girl, this helps create a record that feels carefully put together without losing its natural feel.

Brownie Girl is the kind of song that can fit different situations. Its gentle rhythm makes it suitable for romantic playlists, weddings, dinner dates, long drives, and relaxed summer evenings.

The song does not depend on heavy production or fast-paced energy to make an impact. Instead, its strength comes from its melody and the feeling behind the lyrics.

That makes it particularly suitable for listeners who enjoy love songs that are calm and easy to understand. Ohenemuzik gives the record enough space to breathe, allowing the romantic message to remain at the front.

Some Afrobeats songs are made simply to entertain, while others feel like a personal record of where an artist has been. Timzy_survival’s “Felony” belongs to the second group.

Released on 1 August 2026, the single introduces the story behind his upcoming five-track EP, “Survival,” and gives listeners an early look at an artist who has turned difficult experiences into music.

Timzy_Survival’s “Felony” Turns Pain Into Afrobeats Power

“Felony” works as an opening statement because it carries the weight of Timzy’s journey without losing the energy expected from a modern Afrobeats record. The song presents him as an artist with something real to say, using music as a way to deal with life, pain, hope, and the fight to keep moving.

A Song Built From Personal Experience

One of the strongest parts of “Felony” is the level of personal involvement behind its creation. Timzy_survival conceived, wrote, and recorded the song himself, working with his producer to shape the final sound.

That hands-on process gives the single a sense of honesty. Nothing about the record feels like a story borrowed from someone else. It comes from an artist who has lived through moments that could have ended his journey and has chosen to turn those moments into fuel.

The title “Survival” is especially important when viewed alongside Timzy’s personal history. After surviving a shooting in which he was hit nine times, the artist adopted “Survival” not simply as a stage name, but as a reflection of his life. That experience now sits at the centre of his musical identity.

Although Timzy is associated with Ibadan, his early life was shaped by Lagos. Born on the mainland and later moving to the island, he grew up around the streets of Lagos, where music became an outlet for emotions and everyday struggles.

His journey began publicly with “Gratitude” in 2022. He returned with a stronger run of releases in 2025, including “Therapy,” “Somori,” and “Non Stop.” In 2026, he followed with “Preacher,” produced by Jhay2unez, showing another side of his developing sound.

That steady run of releases makes “Felony” feel like the next step rather than an isolated single.

“Felony” Sets Up the Bigger Story

Timzy’s musical direction sits comfortably within the wider Afrobeats and Afrosounds space, while his influences point to some of Nigeria’s most important modern stars. Wizkid, Burna Boy, 2Baba, D’banj, and Olamide are among the names that have influenced his musical outlook.

Those influences help place Timzy within a familiar Nigerian sound while his own story gives the music its identity. His appeal comes from the balance between melody and real-life experience.

As the lead single from the five-track “Survival” EP, “Felony” has an important job: it needs to make listeners curious about what comes next. It succeeds by introducing the central theme of perseverance.

The upcoming EP promises to go deeper into Timzy’s experiences, struggles, and hopes. Each track is expected to add another part to the story, making the project more than a collection of Afrobeats songs.

“Felony” therefore feels like the beginning of a conversation. It introduces an artist who has faced serious challenges but refuses to let those experiences define the end of his story.

For fans of Nigerian Afrobeats, Afrosounds, Lagos music, and emerging African artists, Timzy_survival is an artist worth watching. “Felony” shows that survival can become more than a memory; it can become a sound, a message, and a reason to keep going.

Richeewell’s “Sweet Naija” arrives as more than a feel-good Afrobeats release. It is a warm musical statement about Nigeria, its people, its culture, and the possibility of a country where differences can exist without becoming barriers.

Built around an uplifting groove and bright vocals, the song carries a message of togetherness while keeping its musical character accessible and easy to enjoy.

Richeewell’s “Sweet Naija” Is a Joyful Call for Unity

At the heart of “Sweet Naija” is a simple idea: Nigeria is at its best when Nigerians see one another as members of the same community. Richeewell addresses issues that continue to shape everyday conversations, including tribalism, religious division, nepotism, and regional bias. Rather than presenting the subject in a heavy or confrontational manner, he chooses celebration as his vehicle.

Nigerian Pride in Every Note

The songwriting places Nigerian life and culture at the centre of the listening experience. Lines such as “Jollof for the table, laughter full the room” create an instantly familiar picture of shared meals, friendship, family, and celebration.

Another lyric, “When the people dem dey unite, na so joy begin bloom,” reinforces the song’s central message: collective strength can create collective happiness.

There is also a noticeable connection to the tradition of Nigerian popular music that uses celebration to communicate social ideas. Richeewell’s stated influence from King Sunny Adé can be felt in the broader spirit of cultural pride, communal expression, and optimistic storytelling.

Rather than attempting to copy that legacy, “Sweet Naija” draws inspiration from a Nigerian musical tradition in which entertainment and social commentary can comfortably share the same space.

Richeewell is not a newcomer attempting to introduce himself through a patriotic anthem. His career stretches back more than two decades, beginning with the R&B duo Soulmen before he developed his solo identity across Hiplife, Afrobeat, and contemporary Nigerian sounds.

His 2001 debut single, “Happy Day,” produced by Emma Okoli at Dove Records, helped establish his name in Nigeria. Over the years, he has worked with artists including Paul Play, OJB Jezreel, Kelly Hansome, Keche, and Durella, while building a catalogue of more than 30 recordings.

Richeewell

That history adds weight to “Sweet Naija.” The song sounds like the work of an artist reflecting on the country he has watched change while remaining deeply connected to its people and culture.

A Summer Track With a Bigger Purpose

Musically, “Sweet Naija” succeeds because its message does not overwhelm its entertainment value. The rhythm remains inviting, the vocals carry an optimistic tone, and the song has the relaxed quality of a track suited to summer listening, social gatherings, road trips, and everyday moments.

Yet beneath that easygoing surface is an important appeal for Nigerians to look beyond division. Richeewell imagines a nation where opportunity is not determined by tribe, religion, region, or personal connections and where cooperation can produce a better future.

In that sense, “Sweet Naija” works on two levels: it is a celebration of Nigeria as it is, and a hopeful picture of Nigeria as it could become.

For listeners searching for a new Nigerian Afrobeats song, a patriotic Nigerian music release, or an uplifting track celebrating Nigerian culture and unity, Richeewell’s “Sweet Naija” offers a timely addition to the conversation. It is bright, sincere, proudly Nigerian, and driven by the belief that music can remind people of what they share rather than what separates them.

After stepping away from the spotlight for two years, Nigerian Afro-fusion artist SP makes a confident and refreshing return with his latest single, “No Pressure.”

More than just a comeback record, the track represents a renewed creative direction for an artist who has steadily evolved from rapper to versatile singer-songwriter.

SP Returns Strong With Afro-Fusion Anthem “No Pressure”

Packed with vibrant percussion, melodic hooks, and an uplifting message, “No Pressure” is an easy reminder that sometimes the best music comes from embracing simplicity and authenticity.

In an era where many artists lean into overly complex themes, SP chooses a different route. “No Pressure” is rooted in the universal desire to live well, pursue financial success, and avoid unnecessary stress. That straightforward concept becomes the song’s greatest strength, transforming an everyday mindset into an infectious Afro-fusion anthem that feels both relatable and timely.

Afro-Fusion Meets Storytelling

Produced by longtime collaborator Lade/Psamzbeat, the instrumental immediately sets the tone with rich African percussion, driven by a captivating shekere rhythm that forms the heartbeat of the record. The production balances traditional elements with modern Afrobeat textures, creating a soundscape that feels vibrant without becoming overcrowded.

Rather than overwhelming listeners with excessive production tricks, the beat allows SP’s vocal performance to shine. His delivery effortlessly alternates between smooth melodies and rhythmic rap cadences, showcasing the versatility he has developed over the years. The chemistry between artist and producer is evident throughout the song, resulting in a polished record that feels natural rather than forced.

One of the song’s most appealing qualities is its relaxed atmosphere. Studio ad-libs from friends contribute to its carefree energy, making listeners feel like they’re part of an intimate recording session rather than simply hearing another commercial release. That authenticity gives “No Pressure” an inviting personality that separates it from many formulaic Afrobeat releases.

SP’s musical journey has been one of steady evolution. Beginning primarily as a rapper, he has gradually embraced singing as an equally important part of his artistry. “No Pressure” highlights that transformation beautifully, allowing both sides of his talent to coexist without either overshadowing the other.

His vocal melodies feel confident and expressive, while his rap sections retain the lyrical sharpness that first introduced many fans to his music. The seamless transition between the two styles reinforces his position as an artist who refuses to be boxed into one category.

Listeners can hear traces of inspiration from global stars like Drake, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Chris Brown, and Lil Wayne, yet SP avoids sounding derivative. Instead, those influences are blended into a sound that reflects his own experiences and artistic personality. The result is an Afro-fusion record that feels contemporary while maintaining its originality.

Rooted in Real-Life Experiences

One of SP’s defining strengths has always been his ability to create music inspired by genuine emotions and everyday experiences. Raised in Omu Aran, Kwara State, his early exposure to church music and traditional instruments, including drums, talking drum, shekere, and conga, continues to shape his sonic identity today.

That musical foundation is noticeable throughout “No Pressure.” The rhythmic choices never feel accidental, and the percussion carries a level of authenticity that reflects years of hands-on musical experience. It’s this organic approach that gives the song its warm, human feel.

Rather than chasing fleeting trends, SP focuses on themes that resonate across different audiences. Whether listeners are striving for success, recovering from setbacks, or simply looking for a soundtrack to unwind, the song offers a positive reminder to protect one’s peace while continuing to move forward.

A Confident New Chapter

Following a two-year hiatus, expectations naturally surround any comeback release. Fortunately, “No Pressure” succeeds by avoiding the temptation to overstate its significance. Instead of dwelling on the past, the single looks ahead with optimism, confidence, and renewed artistic purpose.

The songwriting is concise, memorable, and easy to connect with, while the production provides enough replay value to keep listeners coming back. It serves as both a reintroduction for longtime supporters and an accessible entry point for audiences discovering SP for the first time.

With an expanding catalogue that already includes multiple EPs and over twenty songs, SP appears focused on consistency rather than momentary hype. If “No Pressure” is an indication of what’s to come, fans can expect an artist who has become more comfortable in his sound and more intentional with his creative direction.

Rising Nigerian Afrobeats artist Creepto continues his steady rise with the release of My Sound. This motivational single combines catchy Afrobeat rhythms with a message of confidence, determination, and staying true to yourself.

Inspired by his own life experiences and musical journey, the song serves as a reminder that success comes through patience, hard work, and believing in your own path, even when the journey feels difficult.

Creepto Delivers an Inspiring Afrobeat Anthem On “My Sound”

At a time when Afrobeats continues to dominate music across Africa and around the world, My Sound arrives as a refreshing release that balances danceable production with meaningful storytelling. Rather than focusing only on entertainment, Creepto uses the single to encourage listeners to trust themselves and keep moving forward.

A Song Built on Self-Belief

The heart of My Sound is its message of perseverance. Creepto reflects on the challenges that come with chasing dreams while reminding listeners that every successful journey begins with believing in yourself. Instead of allowing obstacles to define him, he lets his music speak to who he is and what he hopes to achieve.

This approach makes the song easy to relate to, especially for young people working towards their own goals. Whether someone dreams of becoming a musician, athlete, entrepreneur, or professional in another field, the message remains the same: stay focused, remain authentic, and never stop believing in your abilities.

The title itself carries confidence. My Sound represents more than music; it symbolises identity. Creepto is proudly presenting the style, voice, and personality that make him unique instead of trying to imitate others.

Musically, My Sound delivers everything fans expect from a modern Afrobeat record. The production combines energetic drum patterns, smooth melodies, and rich instrumental layers that immediately create an uplifting atmosphere.

Creepto

The polished studio production allows Creepto’s vocals to shine while maintaining the lively rhythm that makes Afrobeat popular around the world. Every part of the song feels carefully arranged, creating a balance between strong musical energy and clear storytelling.

The result is a track that works equally well on playlists, at parties, during long drives, or simply while relaxing. Its catchy rhythm makes it enjoyable from the first listen, while its message gives listeners a reason to come back again.

A Promising Step Forward

Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, Creepto continues building his reputation through music that blends Afrobeat, Afro-fusion, and street-inspired influences. His songs regularly explore themes of ambition, faith, struggle, success, and love, helping him connect with listeners from different backgrounds.

With My Sound, he demonstrates greater confidence as both a performer and storyteller. The single shows that he understands how to combine meaningful messages with memorable melodies, making the record accessible to both longtime Afrobeat fans and new listeners.

His plans for live performances and wider promotion also suggest an artist committed to growing his audience while remaining connected to the people who support his music.

His songwriting focuses on honesty rather than flashy lyrics, allowing his personality to come through naturally. This helps establish his identity as an artist who values authenticity above trends.

As the global popularity of Nigerian Afrobeats continues to grow, artists like Creepto are proving that there is still room for fresh voices who bring their own perspective to the genre.

My Sound never feels like an imitation. Instead, Creepto builds on Wizkid’s inspiration while developing a sound that reflects his own experiences and ambitions.

Signed to Sixteen04 Recordz, Kvng Xino uses this debut release, “Against All Odds EP,” to show that every setback can become part of a bigger success story. The EP feels personal without becoming too heavy, making it easy for listeners of different ages to connect with its message.

A Story of Never Giving Up

The title Against All Odds immediately tells listeners what the project is about. Throughout the EP, Kvng Xino reflects on moments of uncertainty, disappointment, sacrifice, and hope. Instead of pretending life has always been easy, he embraces the difficult parts of his journey and turns them into music that encourages others to keep moving forward.

Many young people dream of achieving success but often face obstacles that make them question themselves. This EP reminds them that those obstacles do not have to define their future. That positive message becomes the strongest part of the project.

Rather than focusing only on fame or material success, Kvng Xino places more attention on growth, patience, and staying committed to personal goals. That honesty helps the project stand out within today’s growing Afrobeat scene.

Musically, Against All Odds combines energetic Afrobeat rhythms with softer Afro Soul and Afro R&B melodies. The production remains smooth from beginning to end, balancing danceable moments with calmer records that allow the lyrics to breathe.

The instrumentals feature rich percussion, melodic synths, layered harmonies, and emotional chord progressions that create a modern African sound. Each production choice supports the mood of the songs without overpowering Kvng Xino’s vocals.

Recorded across several sessions at Shedz Studio in Port Harcourt, the project benefits from careful mixing and vocal arrangements. Every song sounds polished while still maintaining the warmth and honesty that define Kvng Xino’s style.

The production team, including Dokashot, Shadz Beat, Nonye Ferragamo, NJ Flowz, Dason, Cozy Blaq, and Kaycee Blinx, deserves credit for helping shape a project that feels consistent from start to finish.

Influences That Shape His Sound

Listeners may recognise elements inspired by producers and artists such as Young Jonn, Tempoe, P.Priime, Magicsticks, Olamide, and Wizkid. These influences can be heard in the rhythmic bounce, melodic structure, and polished Afrobeat production found throughout the EP.

However, Kvng Xino does not simply copy these names. Instead, he combines those inspirations with his own experiences and songwriting style to create music that feels personal. His storytelling becomes the feature that separates him from many emerging artists trying to find their place in the industry.

The project also highlights his ability as both a performer and producer, showing an understanding of how melody, rhythm, and emotion can work together to create memorable songs.

For a debut EP, Against All Odds presents Kvng Xino as an artist with a clear direction. Every song contributes to the overall message of resilience and self-belief, creating a listening experience that feels connected rather than random.

The project does not try to impress through unnecessary complexity. Instead, it succeeds because it delivers genuine emotions through enjoyable Afrobeat music. Whether listeners are chasing career goals, working through personal challenges, or simply looking for uplifting African music, there is something here they can relate to.

As an artist from Akwa Ibom now building his career in Port Harcourt, Kvng Xino demonstrates that persistence, talent, and authenticity remain important ingredients for long-term success.

Against All Odds is an encouraging Afrobeat debut that introduces Kvng Xino as an artist worth following. Through honest storytelling, polished production, and memorable melodies, he delivers a project that reminds listeners that success often belongs to those who refuse to stop believing in themselves.

Lagos, 1 July, 2026: Spotify and Afronation Portugal are partnering to bring fans closer to the artists, performances, and fan culture shaping African music globally.

As an official sponsor and exclusive streaming partner of Afronation Portugal 2026, Spotify will help extend the festival beyond the live weekend through this model. This partnership creates a dedicated Afronation destination on Spotify where fans can discover festival content, featured artists, the official playlist, and selected performance videos after the event.

The collaboration is a natural extension of Afronation’s long-standing commitment to Afrobeats and African music, something shared with Spotify. Since its inception, Afronation has played an active role in artist breakthroughs, consistently investing time, energy, and platform support into championing African music and helping artists reach global audiences.

This partnership reflects the shared values between Spotify and Afronation, both of whom are dedicated to providing a global stage for African creativity. By joining forces, they are continuing the work Afronation has been committed to from the beginning: ensuring African music and culture are celebrated on a world-class level.

Taking place from 3 to 5 July in Portimão, Portugal, Afronation has become one of the most important global meeting points for African music, connecting artists, fans, and culture across continents. Through this partnership, Spotify will spotlight that movement on-platform, giving fans a way to experience the energy of the festival, whether they are on the ground in Portugal or listening from anywhere in the world.

The dedicated Afronation destination on Spotify will serve as the home for this experience, bringing together artist discovery, playlisting, and selected performance content captured at the festival. It marks a significant new way for fans to engage with Afronation before, during, and after the live event.

“Afronation is more than a festival — it’s a global expression of African music, fan culture and creative influence,” said Rifumo Mdaka, Content Marketing Manager for Spotify in Sub-Saharan Africa. “Our partnership is about helping that moment travel further through our first collaboration with Afronation of this nature. By bringing the festival to Spotify, we’re giving fans a place to connect with the artists, performances, and stories that define the festival, long after the final set.”

The partnership reflects Spotify’s continued investment in African music and the communities driving its global growth. From discovery and playlisting to live performance capture and fan-led storytelling, Spotify is supporting new ways for African music moments to reach audiences across borders.

As part of the campaign, Spotify will also follow the journey of a top fan travelling to Afronation Portugal, capturing the excitement, fandom and cross-border connection that continues to power African music’s global movement.

“Afro Nation has always been more than a festival. It is a platform built to celebrate African music, support artist breakthroughs and connect a global community through culture. Our partnership with Spotify is a significant moment for us because it reflects the shared role we both play in discovery, helping artists reach new audiences and giving fans deeper ways to engage with the music they love. This collaboration marks an exciting evolution of the Afro Nation experience, extending the energy of the festival beyond the live event,” says Clémence Blum, Director of Global Partnerships, The Malachite Group / Afro Nation.

Selected performance content from Afronation Portugal will be available on Spotify following the festival as part of this partnership.
