Following much speculation, The BET Awards have unveiled a strong lineup of Hip Hop performers for the 2023 BET Awards.

The 2023 BET Awards will honour the genre’s longevity and five decades of Hip Hop by bringing together rappers from various eras for a special occasion that will travel back in time.

The BET Awards 2023, scheduled for Sunday, June 25, 2023, would feature an unprecedented lineup of artists, according to a BET announcement made on June 16, 2023.

The stage will be graced by nominees Lil Uzi Vert, Coco Jones, GloRilla, and Doechii, but more performers are anticipated to be revealed.

A nonstop Hip-Hop celebration will take place as part of Culture’s Biggest Night to commemorate the genre’s 50th birthday. 69 Boyz, Big Daddy Kane, Chief Keef, DJ Unk, E-40, Fast Life Yungstaz & Easton (F.L.Y.), Fat Joe, Ja Rule, Kid ‘N Play, MC Lyte, Master P, Remy Ma, Soulja Boy, The Sugarhill Gang, Trick Daddy, Trina, Tyga, Uncle Luke, Warren G, Ying Yang Twins, and Yo-Yo will all take part in BET’s Hip-Hop 50 celebration.

This year, Drake tops the list of nominees, with seven nominations overall, while GloRilla, a rising sensation, ranks second with six nominations. Lizzo and 21 Savage are tied with five nominations each. Beyoncé, Burna Boy, Ice Spice, Chris Brown, and SZA all tie with four nominations.

The 2023 BET Awards candidates have been revealed, and Nigerian megastar Burna Boy has received many nods. Ayra Starr, Asake, Tems, and Wizkid have also received nominations.

Male R&B/Pop Artist, Video Director of the Year, and Best International Act nominations all went to Burna Boy.

Tems‘ contribution to Future’s song “Wait For U” earned her nominations for Best Female Artist and Best Collaboration. In the Best Collaboration category, Wizkid will compete against Tems for his contribution to Chris Brown’s “Call Me Everyday.”

Tems’ “Free Mind” is still receiving praise and awards abroad, and now American rapper Fat Joe has crowned it the best song of the year.

Tems has had an amazing year, lately receiving a Golden Globe nomination and supposedly being lined up to perform with Beyonce on her “Renaissance” tour. The singer’s song “Free Mind” also achieved great milestones, debuting on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts and receiving consistent rotation on American radio.

The rapper had shared his opinion on the song via a livestreamed video with the song playing in the background saying, “I play this cause to me this is the biggest song of the year, song of the year to me, don’t know about you… It’s the biggest in the game.”

In terms of music, “Lift Me Up,” from the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” album, was Tems and Rihanna’s collaboration that was selected for an Oscar nomination in the category of “Best Original Song.” Recently, the song received a Golden Globe nomination in the same category.

Fat Joe has shared a very embarrassing incident that happened to him once as a result of taking weed.

Fat Joe claims that after consuming marijuana, he got extremely high, which caused him to become senseless as he left his house in just his underwear and proceeded to walk down the street.

To celebrate the opening day of the Roc Nation School of Music Sports & Entertainment on Tuesday (September 20), Fat Joe stopped by as a guest speaker for the school’s speaker series and told an enlightening story about the first time he sparked up at the behest of his friend.

“So I’m in my apartment I’m still in The Bronx, and she convinces me to get high,” Fat Joe recalls. “She goes, ‘Yo lets smoke this weed, it’s incredible…so I smoke. I got so paranoid I ran out the house butt naked, real talk.

In the middle of the night. I ran out of there, they call that a bad trip or something right? I ran out of there and the girl, she pulls up in my car. I have the white Lexus and she’s like ‘Joe, Joe, get in the car.’ I was already Fat Joe too…I was like, ‘I’m gonna die! I gotta go to the hospital! I’m gonna die.”

Thankfully, he listened to his friend and got into the car: “So she convinced me to get in the car and said she was gonna take me to the hospital and she takes me around the block and we go in the crib and I take like seven showers. I never want you guys to see Fat Joe running naked down the street!

His story was a warning to attendees that you can’t be high all of the time and be a high-functioning adult. “If Fat Joe was high he’d be broke,” he said, though he did add he intends to make a foray into the cannabis business.

DJ Khaled has been immortalised on the Hollywood boulevard as he was presented with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday.

The music producer had his wife and children present at the event as well as industry giants like Jay-Z, Fat Joe and others to witness the momentous occasion.

On the unveiling of the star, it was revealed that DJ Khaled is the 2,719th person to be conferred this honour.

Taking to the podium, the father of two stated that he wanted his star to represent the light that God gave him to shine on the earth.

Khaled Mohammed Khaled (born November 26, 1975), known professionally as DJ Khaled, is an American DJ, record executive, and record producer.

Khaled first gained prominence as a radio host in the 1990s on the radio station 99 Jamz, and translated his popularity by working with Terror Squad as a DJ for their live performances.

After gaining production credits on the group’s material, Khaled released his debut studio album Listennn… the Album in 2006, which earned gold certification.

According to Fat Joe, there is only one musician in the world known as Buju, and that artist is Buju Banton, the Jamaican reggae sensation.

He spoke during an interview while weighing in on the issue of mixed identities between Nigerian singer, BNXN (Buju) and Buju Banton.

According to Fat Joe, he’s been hearing of an artiste in Africa going by the name Buju, but the only person he knows by that name is Jamaica’s Buju Banton.

Scott via his Official Instagram account posted pictures of him and Burna in the studio, The surfaced pictures confirmed that they all met at Scott Storch’s studio making music.

Steve Lobel, Scott Storch’s manager and a veteran music executive, was also present in the studio. He also confirmed it via his Instagram page on Wednesday 30th of June 2021. He wrote:
