In the 40th International Reggae and World Music Awards, Nigerian acts Burna Boy and Tems received nominations (IRAWMA).

Burna Boy, Patoranking, and Tems have all been nominated for the International Reggae and World Music Awards 2023.

The African Giant got 2 nominations. One for Best Crossover Single for his song ‘Toni-Ann Singh,’ which features Popcaan.

The other is for Best Afrobeats Entertainer, which includes Diamond Platnumz of Tanzania, Eddy Kenzo of Uganda, Tems of Nigeria, and Willy Paul of Kenya.

Among the other nominees are Koffee, Popcaan, Spice, Sean Paul, Shaggy, Christopher Martin, Dexter Daps, Etana, and many more.

Nigerian Dancehall superstar Patoranking was nominated for Best African Dancehall Act, with Sierra Leone’s Star Zee, Ghana’s Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, and Zimbabwe’s Winky D.

On May 7, 2023, the award ceremony is scheduled to take place in Kingston, Jamaica.

The talented afrobeat superstar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known professionally as Wizkid, American female rapper Megan Thee Stallion and some top musicians will headline the famous AfroNation festival in 2022.

AfroNation is an event dedicated to celebrating black achievement. It is Europe’s biggest urban music beach festival.

The event will take place on March 24–26, 2022 at the popular Balneario de Carolina beach in Puerto Rico. The music festival will showcase energetic performances across the three-day event.

In addition, Stonebwoy and King Promise will be representing Ghana, South African artists Busiswa, Eddy Kenzo, and Focalistic are also expected to perform.

The One Africa music fest is undoubtedly one of the biggest Afrobeats concerts this year.

This explosive event took place on Friday the 15th of November at the Festival arena, Dubai, United Arab emirates.

Nigerian artists that will grace the event include; Davido, Teni, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, 2Baba, Jaywon, Tekno, Burna Boy, DJ Spinall, Zlatan.

Other African artists are also to perform. They include;

Jah Prayzah, Akothee, Betty G, Lij Michael, Linah, Diamond Platinumz, Harmonize, Eddy Kenzo, Nandy, Nhatty Man, Soujila, The Ben, Vanessa Mdee and King Promise.

According to the organizers of the show, One Africa Music Fest is a platform to showcase Africa’s best and brightest talents and position the African entertainment industry on a global level.

The second edition of this show was hosted by a popular Nigerian singer, Banky W.

The moment he ushered Davido into the stage, there was a massive uproar by fans who had gathered far and wide just to watch him perform.
