The popular musical company Mavin Record, which is owned by Don Jazzy, has officially revealed the name and release date of its all-star album.

In case you missed it, Mp3bullet.ng earlier revealed that the record company announced a single, an album, and an all-star event to commemorate its tenth anniversary.

Following that announcement, the label’s stars released “Won Da Mo” in November, which received positive reviews.

Recently, Mavin label on Instagram posted a picture of its stars, Don Jazzy, Rema, Ayra Starr, DJ Big N, Ladipoe, Magixx, Crayon, Johnny Drille, Boy Spyce, and Bayanni.

In the caption of the post, the label revealed that its all-star album is titled “Chapter X” and will be released on the 2nd of December.

The record company released “Solar Plexus,” its first official compilation album, on May 8, 2012.

Most rappers can sing very well and that’s not a new thing at all but today, you will find out 5 popular Nigerian singers who are also Rapper.

But to find an artist who’s primarily a melody singer that can also bust a couple of rhymes with no melody, now that’s something hard to do.

Still, they exist and you can tell from the way they sing that they do have the potential to be something if they wanted to become rappers.

Without further ado, here are five rappers I believe to know how to do the rap art form at least at a beginner’s level.

1. Dr Sid

Dr. Sid is not new at all and in all the years that he has been active in the industry, he has showcased his rap prowess once or twice.

Honestly, he’s not very good at it and you can understand why it didn’t exactly take off, but yeah he could bust a rhyme or two and that was something.

He wasn’t Vector or Olamide level or anything, but I would say for what it’s worth, he was Eedris Abdulkareem level or something.

2. Banky W

Banky W wasn’t exactly bad at the rap thing, he just didn’t get a lot of practice.

He has quite a few songs like “Strong Ting” where he rapped pretty good and yeah, it was okay. It’s a real pity he didn’t really keep it up.

3. Skales

A protege of Banky W himself, Skales is a good rapper too.

Most people know Skales as the guy that did “Shake Body” or as the guy with the tiny voice.

Well, he is sort of a WandeCoal in that way, but when it comes to rap, I believe the guy can definitely hold his own.

It’s a shame that he stopped rapping anyway. He would have made a good one.

4. Wizkid

Yet another protege of Banky W who knows what to do when he’s on a hip-hop beat, Wizkid is that kind of guy who has tried it all.

As far back as on “Gidi Girl,” in 2011, Wizkid was already trying out freestyling a couple of lines and that just goes to show how good he was and how hard he would try.

His last attempt at rap was probably in 2017 when he did a playful freestyle called, “Make We Run” with CDQ. We haven’t heard him do anything since.

5. Burna Boy

Well, does anyone remember Burna Boy eating Phyno and M.I Abaga raw on “Link Up”? That was really something, man.

Burna Boy is good with his patois so he knows what to do with a mic. Put him on a track with any rapper, and he won’t fail to deliver. He’s that good.

Top 10 Nigerian musicians that Don Jazzy has helped

1. Rema 

Rema got into the Nigerian music scene in 2019. He was signed to Jonzing World which is a record label under Don Jazzy’s Mavins.

To announce his signing, Rema put out a self-titled EP which contained all hits, most particularly Dumebi and Iron Man which was acknowledged by Barack Obama.

Rema has since put out two more EPs, the Rema Freestyle EP and the Bad Commando EP. In 2019 when he was signed, he won the Headies next rated award.

The next year, he won a Soundcity MVP award.

2. Wande Coal

Wande Coal is referred to by many as the most talented Nigerian artist. Well, if not for Don Jazzy, maybe we wouldn’t have known about this music maestro.

Wande Coal, aka Black Diamond was with Don Jazzy in Mo’Hits before the split and also with Mavins at the beginning days.

He was signed to Mo Hits in 2006 and he featured in the ÇV album where he did the solo Ololufe track. WC went on to drop his debut album Mushin To Mo’Hits.

3. Tiwa Savage 

Arguably the greatest Nigerian female singer, Tiwa Savage was under Don Jazzy’s Mavins Record from 2012 to 2019.

Under Mavins, she released two studio albums, Once Upon A Time and R.E.D, and an EP, Sugarcane. She also put out several solo hits like Eminado in which she featured Don Jazzy.

Notably, Don Jazzy was the primary producer of her second studio album R.E.D. Tiwa Savage left Mavins after signing with Universal Music Group in 2019.

She didn’t leave without a message of gratitude to Don Jazzy.

4. D’Banj 

While D’Banj was one part of Mo Hits, Don Jazzy was the other. In 2005, D’Banj released his debut album No Long Thing and the album was produced by Don Jazzy.

More specifically, Don Jazzy produced the album’s lead singles Tongolo and Socor.

In the international scene, D’Banj is very popular for his hit song Oliver Twist in 2012 which was produced by Don Jazzy.

However, Don Jazzy and D’Banj split in 2012 and that saw the end of Mo Hits. Years later, they’re cool with each other.

5. Reekado Banks

Reekado Banks is a new age artist discovered by Don Jazzy’s Mavins. In 2015, just a year after he signed, he won the Headies next rated award.

Reekado Banks laid the hook on Mavins Records big hit “Dorobucci” and he also featured in songs like Looku Looku and Adaobi.

He released singles like Turn it Up, Chop Am, Katapot which was produced by Don Jazzy. While under Don Jazzy’s Mavins, the singer released his debut studio album in 2016.

In 2018, Reekado Banks left Mavins and launched his own record, Banks Music.

6. Korede Bello

In 2015, the whole Nigeria was dancing to Godwin. Take Don Jazzy out of the Nigerian music industry and it may have been a different story.

Korede Bello was signed by Don Jazzy’s Mavins in 2014 along with Reekado Banks and Di’Ja.

Aside from Godwin, Korede Bello got other hit songs like Romantic and Do Like That. He was featured in Dorobucci, Looku Looku, Adaobi, and other Mavins hits.

Korede Bello is still signed to Mavins and he dropped his debut album in 2017.

7. Dr Sid 

Dr Sid had somewhat of a head start in the Nigerian music industry during his time with Trybe Records and Da Trybe.

However, his major push came in 2007 after he joined Don Jazzy at Mo Hits, he made the hits Close to You and Booty Call with other label mates.

He released his debut album under Mo Hits and when Mavins split in 2012, he followed Don Jazzy to Mavins Records. Under Mavins, he released his sophomore album.

8. Crayon 

Crayon was announced as a Mavins artist under Blowtime Entertainment in May 2019.

Just like Rema, he released an EP with hit tracks like So Fine, Gock Am, and Bamiloke.

In no time, Crayon was controlling the Nigerian airwaves.

Don Jazzy first introduced Crayon in the group song “All is in Order”. This was just after artists like Tiwa Savage and Reekado Banks left the label.

Don Baba J wasted no time in discovering the next hot talent. Crayon dropped his second EP, Twelve AM, in 2021.

9. Ayra Starr 

As at the time of writing, Ayra Starr is the latest artist to join Don Jazzy Mavins. She’s riding on the new wave like the likes of Tems.

Hundreds of albums have been released per year for the past two decades, I estimate and here are the top 10 Nigerian albums with no bad song

However, only a small percentage of those ever become hits. Some become hits and become well-known for a period of time. Then only a small percentage of those become classics.

There’s a small percentage of albums that are all hits and no misses among that group. That is extremely uncommon. That’s something we only receive once in a while.

An album on which every song is a banger and there isn’t a single moment of silence? It has to be really rare.

But, without a question, we’ve been fortunate enough to have those once or twice. And it’s virtually always enchanted.

Anyway, without further ado, here are eleven modern Nigerian albums with no poor songs on them. Which one is your personal favourite?

 Kizz Daniel — No Bad Songz (2018)

This happens to be the album that solidified the very concept of ‘no bad songs.’ After his successful debut, Kizz Daniel felt it’d make sense if he did one album with no single filler. Then he did “No Bad Songz.”

An eclectic album with diverse experiments, Kizz Daniel made one of the best albums of the decade in 2018.

Neither we nor him have been able to recover from that, I daresay.

Fireboy — Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps (2019)

After “Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps” in 2019, Fireboy left all of his peers behind to join the big leagues. Seriously, that’s a mad album.

How a rookie could manage that is still a mystery to every one of us. An album some have called the best debut since “Superstar,” it was bangers all through.

Every track was literally a hit! In 2019, nobody could touch Fire. Not really, no.

2Baba — Grass 2 Grace (2021)

2Baba released his debut solo album Face 2 Face (2004), which established him as a viable solo artist.

Following the release of his debut album, he released his second album Grass 2 Grace in 2006, which contained hits likes “One Love”, “True Love, “4 Instance”.

2face is the founder of Hypertek Entertainment.

Sean Tizzle – The Journey

The Journey is the first studio album by Nigerian Afro-Pop artist Sean Tizzle.

It was released on April 17, 2014, on Difference Entertainment.

which was released in 2014. The album features guest appearances from Olamide, Reminisce, 9ice, Ice Prince, Naeto C, Kcee and Tiwa Savage.

The album was supported by four official singles— “Mama Eh”, “Komole”, “Kilogbe” and “Kilogbe (Remix)” along with the promotional singles “Mama Eh”.

 Wizkid — Superstar (2011)

Back in 2011, what Wizkid did with “Superstar” was impossible. But he did it.

How can a new boy make an album and all the songs on it are bops? Heavy bops that hit everywhere? How? Wizkid somehow managed it, though.

9ice — Gongo Aso (2008)

The era of album supremacy in contemporary Nigerian music began with 9ice’s classic, “Gongo Aso.”

Nobody could have done what 9ice did that year sha. Nobody.

 Wande Coal — Mushin 2 Mohits (2009)

Mushin To Mo’Hits (M2M) is the debut album by Nigerian singer Wande Coal.

It was launched on April 12, 2009, under Mo’ Hits Records now Mavin Records.

The album was produced by Don Jazzy and it featured a number of other artists including D’banj, Dr SID, D’Prince, K-Switch!

Brymo — Yellow (2020)

In 2020, one of Nigeria’s finest musicians release his magnum opus.

What Brymo did on “Yellow,” not only will no one else be able to repeat, even he will not be able to do it again.

Asa — Asa (2007)

This is by far the best Nigerian contemporary album of all time. This eponymous album is why Asa is regarded as one of the best to ever do it.

What the “Asa” album did a decade and a half ago, simply cannot be recreated. The whole album is fire.

No single song is not hard. Straight pure bangers. Asa did that!

Real Name Micheal Collins Ajereh, Don Jazzy is one of the popular Music executives in the Nigerian Music Industry. He became popular in 2004 alongside his former partner, D’Banj after the release of their track, “Tongolo“.

That same year the two formed Mo’Hits record which for years was one of the biggest labels in Nigeria until its disbandment in 2012. Under Mo’hits records, Don Jazzy groomed artists like Wande Coal, Dr Sid, D’Prince, Kay Switch.

After shutting down Mo’Hits records, Don Jazzy launched another label called Mavin Records signing Reekado Banks, Di’Ja, Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello, Dr Sid, and later on, Rema, Crayon and Ayra Starr.

Mavin is one of Nigeria’s biggest record labels and powerhouses in the industry accounting for a sizable percent of the hit songs to come out every year.

With his over two decades of experience, Don Jazzy has shown grace, excellence, class and even despite the scandals that rock his brand, he is still at the peak of his carer.

Olamide

Olamide started out as a rapper signing under ID Cabasa’s “Coded Tune” under which he released his debut album, Rapsodi in 2011. However, the following year, he launched his own label, YBNL with the help of his long-time collaborator, Pheelz.

Years later, he started signing talented acts into the label like Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Viktoh, Chinko Ekun, Davolee, Lyta, Picazo Rhap, Limerick, Temmie Ovwasa, Yomi Blaze all of which have left the label.

The label currently houses acts like DJ Enimoney, Fireboy DML, Pheelz, among others.

Despite the many scandals that have rocked Olamide and the label’s way of managing artists, the singer has given a lot of artists platforms, helping to craft a successful brand.

Davido

When Davido first launched into the Industry, he was under HKN Label which was managed by his brother, Adewale Adeleke, him and his cousin, Sina Rambo.

In 2016, he announced he signed a deal with Sony Music and then founded the record label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) a few months after signing with Sony.

The first set of artists that were signed to the label were Dremo, Mayorkun, Yonda and Peruzzi. Currently, Yonda and Maryokun are no longer on the label, but other artists like Liya (the label’s first female artist), Napji, among others are signed to the label.

Dr Dolor

Dr. Dolor whose real name is Osadolor Nate Asemota, is a Nigerian businessman, musical producer, and entrepreneur.

He was born and raised in Edo State’s Benin City. He worked as a marketing executive at Etisalat and Globacom, rising to the level of manager before launching his first company, Global Prime Advantage Solutions (GPAS).

Following the success of GPAS, he established his second company, Dr. Dolor Entertainment (DDE) in 2016, which is a record label and music distribution organization.

It’s under this label, that popular female artist, Teni is signed to. On most of her songs, references to the name of the label is given.

Audu Makori

Audu Makori is a Nigerian lawyer, entrepreneur, social activist, public speaker and creative industry expert. He is the co-founder and President of Chocolate City Entertainment.

He launched Chocolate City alongside Paul Okeugo and his brother Yahaya Maikori as directors of the company.

In January 2005, Chocolate City signed Jeremiah Gyang under a recording and management contract and re-released the album ‘Na Ba Ka‘. In mid-2006, M.I was signed up to Chocolate City.

Others like Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince, Ruby Gyang were signed to the label.

In 2015 Audu via Twitter announced his exit as CEO of Chocolate City Music and the appointment of M.I as the new CEO of Chocolate City Music, with label mate Ice Prince Zamani as the Vice President of the music label.

Maikori was made judge for the first season of Nigerian Idol alongside Yinka Davies and Jeffrey Daniel in 2010 and was seen as the Simon Cowell of the show.

E-Money

Emeka Okonkwo who is famously known as E-money is an entrepreneur, investor, business tycoon, and the chief executive officer (CEO) of Five Star Music.

He is into Oil and Gas also has a different chain of businesses home and abroad which includes a shipping company.

He is the younger brother of the Limpopo crooner, Kcee, and also the official sponsor of his music career as well as signing likes of Harrysong, Skiibii, Xbusta.

Wizkid

Ayo Balogun also known as Wizkid is not a Nigerian superstar but the owner and founder of Starboy ENtertainment. When Wizkid first came into the industry, he was signed to Banky W’s EME Records under which he released two albums, “Superstar” and “AYO”

After years of being with EME, Wizkid left the label and launched his Starboy Entertainment Label. In 2017, he signed to Sony Music and released his third album, “Sounds from the Other Side”.

In April 2013, Wizkid signed Maleek Berry and Legendury Beatz and later L.A.X to his imprint.

In 2016, Wizkid signed management deals with Efya, R2Bees, and Mr Eazi and in 2018, announced the signing of Terri to the label.

Phyno

Born Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike and known as Phyno, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer.

He started his music career as a producer in 2003 and is famous for rapping in the Igbo language. Under his Penthauze label, Phyno released his debut album, “No Guts No Glory“.

Penthauze in 2011 had Runtown, Shugaboi and Flipside on its bill. It signed Storm Rex in 2014, the singer becoming the label’s sole female act.

Naira Marley

Azeez Adeshina Fashola known by his stage name as Naira Marley is a British-Nigerian singer and songwriter.

After launching to fame in 2017, then getting into trouble with EFCC over fraud-related charges and building a fanbase called Marlians, Naira Marley launched his label Marlian Music in 2019.

During the “Marlian Fest“, which was held at the Eko Hotels and Suites on 30 December 2019, Naira Marley announced the launch of his record label Marlian Records and unveiled CBlvck, Zinoleesky, MohBad and Fabian Blu as signed acts.

On 10 July 2020, Naira Marley took to his Instagram Page to unveil another act under his label, named: Emo Grae and later the same year unveiled two more acts, Lyta and Tori Keeche under the label.

Mohbad and Zinoleesky are currently the faces of the label with their chart-topping songs which has sealed their name in the streets.

When the Mo’Hits broke up and Mavin was formed, they suffered for a while, but Don Jazzy came through with this Mavin all-star mega-hit, cementing the label’s position as one of the country’s top record labels.

Some Nigerian Artists have found themselves on different occasions as the main protagonist in controversial stories.

Stardom, like the classic moth drawn to the flame, attracts and breeds controversy.

This fact, combined with the adage that “no exposure is bad publicity,” explains why, despite the many glittering ingredients that come together to create an artist, controversy has become quite the launching pad to recognition throughout the years.

As a result, it’s been speculated that some artists use it to draw attention to themselves.

Nowadays, owing to social media, artists are served bouts of controversy, whether or not they created them.

We used a controversy metre against Nigerian musicians to come up with a list of the most controversial artists in recent times.

Burna Boy

During the early years of Burna Boy’s spectacular ascent to stardom, a music analyst prophesied that his meteoric rise would be overshadowed by his numerous controversies.

This was not far from the truth as Burna Boy and controversies are like 5 & 6.

Some of these controversies include calling out the MAMAs for not nominating him for a solo album, being banned from the UK for being in a gang, and more.

He was in the news again two years later for an incident involving hired goons roughing up Mr 2kay, which was proven to be sponsored by him.

There was also one Felabration concert in which Burna Boy performed in his underwear, which he claimed was in honour of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, whom he considers to be his hero.

His most famous and enduring ditzy with controversy, though, is his famous address to Coachella for using small fonts to symbolise his name. This was the start of his self-described “African Giant” moniker, but it wasn’t the end of his infamous Twitter outbursts.

Most Nigerian social media users would also recall the incident involving a voluptuous British lady alleged to be Burna Boy’s lover, which was shelved in favour of the well-known musician, Stefflon Don.

Another significant Burna Boy scandal is his feud with contemporary and former friend Davido. It happened in Ghana, following the release of the latter’s track, which made a reference to him and sparked a social media firestorm for several days.

There are several other controversies the ‘Odogwu‘ have been involved in.

However, despite his many controversies, Burna Boy has a hardcore fanbase who are his ride or die. His incredible musical prowess also speaks for him.

Naira Marley

His name isn’t on this list by chance, as the president of the Marlians fanbase is certainly deserving of that honour, as he has repeatedly proven to be the lord of not only Lamba but also controversy.

Controversies seem to be a walk in the park for Naira Marley, whose songs, music videos, tweets and posts are frequently brow-raising due to their scandalous nature.

The rapper’s biggest controversy was when he was arrested by EFCC on fraud allegations, which came on the heels of his online battle with Ruggedman and Simi in support of the Yahoo Yahoo craze in Nigeria.

Following his stint in prison, Naira Marley being a smart artist took advantage of that moment by dropping his huge hit, “Am I A Yahoo Boy“, and had scored another winning goal with the tongue-wagging Soapy.

Last year, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the rapper, singer, and record label owner had a show at Jabu Mall in Abuja despite restrictions on flights and social gatherings.

His actions had resulted in the suspension of the air company with which he had flown, as well as the closure of the mall.

He’d been complicit in a violation of Lagos state’s Covid restrictions by performing at Funke Akindele’s birthday party shortly after.

Davido

Davido, who is cheerful and has an openly charitable side, is trailed by controversy like an obsessive fan.

Davido has had it all, from a sex scandal involving images of the singer in bed with Sonia Jumbo, a Ghanaian student, to accusations of stealing songs levelled by a suspected extortionist attempting to exploit the musician.

Despite being the uncontested ‘OBO,’ the singer has been involved in a handful of cash controversies, one of which involved a forged check that a car dealership he patronized was unable to cash.

However, the musician’s controversies took a dark turn when three of his pals, Chime, Olu, and Tagbo, died within days of each other, the first of whom had been with him on the day he died.

From his Sophia Momodu baby mama scandal to accusations of being disloyal to his current baby mama and one-time fiancee, Chioma, there has been a major occurrence of run-ins with lovers and women in general.

He was also accused by a pair of girls of having impregnated one of them, but they were later revealed to be regretful pranksters in the face of Davido’s threat to arrest them.

Things have calmed down for the singer in recent months, but his altercation with Burna Boy during December of last year was the buzz of the internet, with an obviously angry Davido vowing to abandon music.

His latest scandal saw him reclaim his playboy position by kissing a new love interest known as Mya Yafai, signalling the end of his very public relationship with Chioma, his son’s mother.

Wizkid

Wizkid, the king of carefree living, has been involved in a number of controversies, the most notable of which involved baby mama drama.

His first major scandal was when a particular Carolyn Ikpea, who wasn’t his girlfriend at the time, Tania, came out and admitted to having an affair with him. He and his girlfriend had broken up by that time.

Soon later, rumours began to circulate that the singer was expecting her second child. Binta Diallo, the baby mama of Guinean descent, called her infant Ayo to avoid Wizkid’s denial of the baby.

According to her, this was a technique gained from the events surrounding the birth of his first son, Boluwatife, with Shola Ogudu.

Wizkid later got into a club altercation with Dammy Krane, who claimed he had stolen his song and was allegedly assaulted with a shattered bottle by Wizkid.

Wizkid was next in the news in 2018 when his first two baby mamas called him out after his third, Jada Pollock, lauded his fathering skills of their son, Zion.

Then, in 2019, things seemed to get a little tense between him and his third baby mama, Jada when she posted an Instagram post accusing Wizkid of domestic abuse on multiple occasions.

She’d already said that she was leaving the artist, as well as her role as his manager. She eventually withdrew the comment, claiming she’d been hacked, 24 hours later.

Because of Wizkid’s way of responding to complaints, which is silence, most of these accusations were kept to a minimum.

While rare, there have been times when he has been the one who has called out someone.

He has called out Tinie Tempah and his partner, Dumi Oburota, for alleged shady dealings with his brand through their Disturbing London management firm. This was a double incident.

At the height of the #EndSARs, an apparently enraged Wizkid had brusquely admonished Reekado Banks for promoting their collaboration in the midst of the commotion.

Tiwa Savage

Tiwa Savage’s scandals have been few but noteworthy throughout the course of her nearly a decade-long career.

Tiwa Savage had her first scandal in 2016, when her now ex-husband Teebillz accused her of adultery, alleging that she had affairs with Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, and Tuface, who is now known as 2Baba.

Shortly after, their marriage fell apart, and Tiwa Savage gave Pulse Entertainment an exclusive interview about the circumstances surrounding her divorce.

Tiwa Savage’s next run with controversy came in 2018, following the popularity of her Wizkid-featured romantic single, Ma Lo, which they’d then performed at several shows with hot displays of love.

While neither party ever explicitly said that they were dating, their relationship was widely publicised and reached a pinnacle when Wizkid cast her as his love interest in his Fever video.

The top female musician’s next controversial moment didn’t come until this year, during the Tiwa Savage and Seyi Shay feud, when she dragged the latter to filth and swore on the life of her only son, Jamil, to serve as the corroborator for her innocence in the wake of Seyi Shay’s previous accusations of hatred.

However, her biggest controversy came when she revealed during an interview that an unknown person had gotten a hold of her s*xtape with which she was being threatened.

She stated that she wasn’t going to pay the blackmailer and later in a show, revealed that people weren’t going to see the s*xtape. However, things took a drastic turn when someone leaked what was alleged the scandalous tape.

Buju

With his vocals and penchant to get into trouble and survive it, the gifted artist has demonstrated he’s not simply another new kid on the block, much like his mentor, Burna Boy.

Buju’s first dance with controversy occurred in May of last year when an up-and-coming musician known as Foresythe shared screenshots of Buju criticising his career in response to his request to feature Buju on his song.

Buju apologised, adding, “I messed up but e get why,” and some music analysts who attended Babcock have since supported Buju’s statements, claiming that the performer in question treated him similarly during their time there.

In May of this year, his alleged girlfriend, a Dr. Amira, accused him of domestic violence, claiming that she was the one who paid for his lifestyle as a musician and that other his girlfriends had previously told her about his abusive behaviour.

A friend of Dr. Amira’s had also come forward on her Instagram account, claiming to have seen Buju fly into a rage and stating that while she was eager to testify in court, her friend was not coming forward for money or clout.

Buju’s third round of controversy revolved around tweets from the past. Some Twitter users apparently conducted a search of his previous tweets and discovered receipts dating back to 2016 in which he disparaged various Nigerian music singers, including Wizkid, Davido, Mr Eazi, Yemi Alade, and others.

These discoveries did not sit well with Wizkid and Davido fans, who went on to criticise the singer.

Buju had then responded with a video that indicated he was unconcerned before taking the high road and apologised for his conduct, claiming he had no idea he would later release music, demonstrating his ability to withstand the flames of controversy.

Brymo

Brymo is an excellent musician with an ego to match. On the bluebird app, Twitter, he’s stirred things up by claiming that his craft isn’t valued enough and that he’s the best musician in the country.

After the release of his Heya! single, which he graced wearing a leather thong and had made him the talk of the Nigerian internet sphere, things got a little heated for Brymo.

The musician’s second brush with scandal, however, was not as light-hearted, as it came in the shape of a rape allegation, which he strongly denied in ways that irritated some online users, prompting them to demand his cancellation.

Last Year, his infamous rant on Twitter almost put in hot waters after he threw a jab at Davido’s “A Better Album” prompting Peruzzi to directly call him out about it.

While he apologized and went awol for a while, he resurfaced and this time, called out veteran music icon, 2Baba.

Brymo accused 2Baba of falsely accusing him of sleeping with his wife and sponsoring boys to attack him.

While 2Baba responded with a defamation suit against him, he is yet to directly respond to Brymo’s allegations.
