American renowned gospel singer and songwriter, Donald James Moen, popularly known as Don Moen, and his wife, Laura Moen, are celebrating their 49 years of marriage.

The gospel singer took to his Instagram page to share an epic throwback photo of his wife as he recounted how he got married to his woman.

Don Moen revealed he got married to Laura at a concert at a downtown theatre/church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

The couple had welcomed anyone in the audience to stay for the wedding if they wished and surprisingly over 1,000 people were present at their wedding.

Don Moen expressed his gratitude for his good fortune after going on an excursion with his wife.

He Wrote:

49 years ago today, I married this girl after a concert at a downtown theater/church in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We welcomed anyone in the audience to stay for the wedding if they wished. The wedding started at 10:00 PM and we had about 1,000 people we didn’t know at our wedding! ???? What an adventure! I’m a very blessed man, and God is so good!!! I LOVE YOU, LAURA!!!! Happy Anniversary! ❤️????????

In most cases, there is no room for competitiveness in Christiandom, and the major reason why artists from various regions gather together is to spread the gospel more effectively.

There have been times when Nigerian gospel artists have been able to include non-African performers in their songs, which has aided in the dissemination of the kingdom’s message and improved relations between the two countries.

To commemorate some of these outstanding events, this list honours the top 10 Nigerian and International Gospel collaborations.

Nara – Tim Godfrey / Travis Greene

The number one slot on this list belongs to the 2018 AGMA Worship Song of the Year. Tim Godfrey of ROX Nation teamed up with award-winning international crooner Travis Greene to create an award-winning hit that captivated the Christian community.

SMJ produced the tune, which won multiple prizes including AGAFEST and AGMA Song of the Year in 2018.

The song currently has over 60 Million views on Youtube.

This God is too Good- Nathaniel Bassey / Micah Stampley

Nathaniel Bassey, one of Africa’s most prolific worshipers and singer-songwriters, who has blessed the world with a plethora of inspirational songs from his heart, finally released his first international collaboration titled “This God is Too Good” with singer Micah Stampley in 2017.

The song, however, was overshadowed by another of his songs, Onise Iyanu, which was released later.

Ka Anyi Bulie Gi Elu- Frank Edwards / Don Moen

On the way to releasing his album Frankincense in 2016, Rock Town Music founder and rich boy Frank Edwards released a track named Ka Anyi Bulie Gi Elu with renowned gospel phenomenal performer Don Moen, which means “Lets lift you (God) high” in the native Igbo language of Nigeria.

At the end of the same year, the duo released an EP record titled Grace.

Na You- Dunsin Oyekan / Kim Burrel

Following his success with the song Na You while serving as the National Music Director of the Common Wealth of Zion Assembly [COZA], seasoned Music Minister Dunsin Oyekan collaborates with exceptional vocalist and pastor Kim Burrel in a remix that nearly overshadows the original.

The duo then sang the song together for the latter’s debut ministration in Nigeria at The Experience 2016.

Baba -Frank Edwards / Micah Stampley

Frank’s album Frankincense, which features Micah Stampley, Don Moen, and Nathaniel Bassey, was released in 2016 and wowed everyone when it topped Beyonce’s and Adele’s albums on the iTunes album chart within a few hours of its release.

Baba, which features 2004 Stellar Award winner Micah Stampley, is one of the album’s tracks. The song, however, had little impact on the Nigerian gospel music charts, although it still made the top ten.

With My Hands- Sinach ft Micah Stampley

Sinach enlists the help of American Gospel singer, Micah Stampley on this powerful song.

Excess Love remix- Mercy chinwo ft JJ Hairston

In 2018, Mercy Chinwo took over the nation with her beautiful inspirational song, “Excess Love” which was her breakthrough hit. Two years later in 2020, she teamed up with American worship leader, JJ Hairston for the remix.

She also released it as part of her 2020 Album, “Satisfied“. While the original has over 35 Million views on youtube, the remix had over 32 Million views.

Background:

Dunsin Oyekan was born on the 5th of November 1984, to the family of Gbadebo Oyekan in Ilorin, Nigeria, as the only son.

Started his elementary in the Airforce Nursery and Primary school, he excelled and later went to Baptist Model High School where he completed his secondary education.

Dunsin later proceeded to the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, where he studied Industrial Chemistry.

Career:

Coming from a family of music lovers, Dunsin’s father was a classic songwriter and staunch lover of music.

Dunsin Oyekan later became a music producer with mastery of different musical instruments.

His love and passion for music have opened doors for him in various places as he was once a music director of the award-winning choir – Avalanche of the Common Wealth of Zion Assembly (COZA).

He has also performed with international artistes like Tasha Cobbs, Tye Tribbett, Don Moen, etc.

The Gospel of The Kingdom album:

Dunsin Oyekan‘s seventh album in seven years The Gospel of the Kingdom was officially released on January 18.

Like his previous albums, this is an extraordinary work of art that produced great spirituality.

His consistent passion to express his belief with the aim of connecting with the spiritual and getting listeners to understand this message is one unique feature he possesses.

The 16 track album is a blend of Alternative rock produced with electrifying sounds coupled with great melodies.

Over the years, Dunsin Oyekan has been consistent in what he releases, but steady growth in sound productions cannot be misplaced.

Listening to the songs on the album, one would detect the confidence and energy in Dunsin’s vocals.

The ministration of this album is likened to that of a “daddy GO” ministering in a Holy Crusade.

But regardless of his power of positive declarations and his assuredness of the Holy Spirit, he establishes the root of his confidence in ‘Fellowship To Partnership.’

However, if Dunsin needs to work on anything, it is the length of the songs he produces.
